I don't even mind him getting new powers at the end, what bothers me about Giorno is that the story treats him like a secondary character rather than the leader of the group, but at the same time insists on sucking his cock as if he were the leader anyway. Make up your fucking mind. You could do some interesting stuff with the "main" character taking a back seat to be the healer of the group but if you're gonna do that then don't have every character sing his praises and stop having him discover the "twist" in almost every arc. The worst is probably when they're fighting Notorious BIG and Spice Girl attributes Trish's own fucking character growth to Giorno.

I don't think he's a Stu, his problem is that he's super boring and he barely does anything compared to the rest of the cast. Also, if he's such a Stu how come Abbacchio doesn't like him? Anyway, Jonathan is better than Giorno.

Yeah, this sumnarizes my issue with Part 5 and Giorno in general. He never interacts with anyone besides saving their asses and instantly figuring out the enemy's ability because the plot need the group to know or else they'd die. Despite standing in the back while Bruno leads the group, everyone ends up sucking Giorno's balls for "how inspiring he is." Half the time Giorno wins any fight he's in is through asspulls or inconsistent, overpowered abilities.

Giorno didn't need requiem to beat Diavolo. If he kept all his overpowered abilities he could literally make an armor of damage reflection frogs while making an army of clones of himself and fucking aging diavolo to nothing with each punch

Because Abbachio only irrationaly dilikes him for being the newcomer to the group, not for any of his character flaws. This is common for stus. Giorno is a perfect example of a gary stu.

I think it's one of the part 5 strong points that Giorno is not always in the light and everything doesn't spin around him. Mista got more screen time just by my impression, I didn't count the pages, but it feels like it. And Bruno always acted like a real leader. Why Giorno needs to be depicted as a leader if he isn't really one? Just because he is MC? MC doesn't always need to be a centre of attention. You are asking for him to be a mary sue.

Giorno probably needed to interact with other Joestars in some shape or form, he feels like a stranger in a group because he is in fact a stranger in a group and has nobody to relate to.
You see Josuke, Jotaro and Joseph have amusing interactions with each other in DIU, Joseph also has amusing interactions with Jotaro in SC and so does young Joseph with Erina and Speedwagon, this made them feel human, even the incredibly autistic Jotaro felt human whenever he delivered a quip after Joseph did something embarrassing. Giorno has nothing like that, he feels stiff and always trying to be polite not to piss off the rest of the group, like a newcomer in any group.
Picture any Joestar besides Giorno interacting with Abbacchio and you'll probably get what I mean. Even Jonathan would stand out more by acting as righteous as humanly possible "because that's what a gentleman does" even with Abbacchio trash talking him.
