This is why you shouldn't use the subject field. You just end up confusing it with the name field.
this list doesn't include the few that are still in critical condition in the ICU either
definitely a dumbass move on my part - almost never make threads myself
>Instrument Setting: Hiroyuki Takahashi
Damn, they had like 21 and 22 yo interns killed.
Atleast you didnt forget to take the name out afterwards ;_; im a fucking retard
Those won't be released until they leave the hospital. Either to morgue or home
>Shoko Ikeda
Another major loss. She was extremely talented, and I loved the designs she provided for Haruhi and Hibike.
She was also a mother of two kids.
I hate this
Imagine your legacy being gay swimming anime and an Idolm@ster rip off
Will they work in the same office?
That shit will be so spoopy regardless whether its day or night
dumb newfag puts it in the name field
kill yourself
Can't imagine it not being a memorial spot or something
I recall the CEO saying that they'll demolish it and have a memorial park in its place
Better than whatever your legacy is, I would imagine.
We can tell newshit. Now, can you go back to twitter/reddit? Thanks.
(you)r trying too hard
My legacy won't involve Free, so its infinitely better
How's that for a sick burn?
Hiroyuki Takahashi was literally confirmed alive just some weeks ago, so it turned out to be a rumor after all, at it was a lie.
Kasumi Ikeda (the young sister) is currently missing so I guess she might be one of the greatly injured. She must be feeling dead in life, her one-chan is dead and she must be in serious condition and unable to work again. Shouko is really a big loss damn it. Nishiya and Shouko were literally the the backbone of Kyoani's designs these last years.
Did they even make a single good anime?
It's not like it's Madhouse that was torched, c'mon now.
>Hiroyuki Takahashi
I think you might be confusing Noriyuki Kitanohara. He was the one confirmed alive (the one who jumped from the 2nd floor)
cool reply newfag, did somebody reply to you with that earlier?
what will happen to him?
crest worms
Some solitary cell for 15 years until he's hanged
>this post again
First time I'm posting in a thread like this, nice to see some people on Yea Forums aren't overly sentimental.
This guy did all the instruments for Hibike... man.
>How's that for a sick burn?
not even close the burns victims got
he won't get hanged, he'll be a free man on insanity charges
then he will be hanged by a vengefull otaku
Well there goes the plan for Hibike! S3. Damn.
>Megumi Ohno
haha thanks I don't want to get angry today
it doesn't work like that user. The four killers of Junko Furuta walk free to this day and brag about their exploits, knowing no one will touch them.
It's Oono Megumu.

>14 key animators lost
I know they have a low average amount of key animators compared to other studios. But with this... if they don't even have key animators to speak of, how can they work on anything at all?
Time for promotions.
>Imagine your legacy being gay swimming anime and an Idolm@ster rip off
whole thing is straight out of clownworld.
people trying to serious and solemn about people that made trashy cartoons about sexy high school kids.
And you forget directors are in general the best Key animators of the studio (but they're not credited as such due to them performing some higher tasks like design, direction, storyboarding, etc, etc)
Nice zoomer lingo
>Hiroyuki Takahashi
This guy did so much on K-on and Hibike
Some of these victims are pretty cute wtf what a waste
AAAAHHHHHHHH
He was the guy who let Kyoani adapt musical series, he did almost all instruments in the studio. From guitah, to tuba-kun.
Moe graveyard.
The four killers are yakuza or have ties to it
That's the only reason why they haven't "disappeared" yet
Have sex
>Kana Matsuura (24)
Is she dead???!!
>Liz and Hibike character designer lost
Fucking hell
Not even considering the massive lost of talented animators. Hibike S3 (if they ever continue it) will most likely suffer a lot from this. Shouko and Nishiya did a lot of animation supervising for Kyoani and they were practically responsible for the whole studio to be consistent with their designs in every scene.
>lost
I mean loss
Japan hung more than a dozen fuckers this year in one go without even telling them they weren't just going for regular dental checkups. And they didn't even kill the people who made Haruhi, just gassed randos.
>Shoko Ikeda was mother of two girls.
>mfw I went to the studio to see the sight of the arson
It was pretty fucking real. I honestly love Kyoani. I was watching the news all night when the arson happened and to go and see it in person was really sobering.
I even saw the area where people were offering flowers and offerings to the dead. There were TV reporters there so I left because I as the only foreigner there and I didn't know what I would say if they confronted me.
Anyway, yeah, I am rambling. Fucking crazy shit. Only light in the darkness is to see the support people have had for the studio and the nearly universal respect and love for Kyoani people all over the world have had. I know this is Yea Forums and I am supposed to be bitter and cynical and emotionless and hate everything but Kyoani got me into anime back in the mid 2000s so what can I do.
Wtf, I didn't know there was arson on kyoani
Holy shit. So it was this fuckface that did it?
I wanna murder him so badly.
Yakuza is a disgrace if they actually protect those assholes instead of removing them
Not as tragic as Naomi Ishida though.
I wonder what would happen if it was a jihadist that hated animation because it was kuffar.
There's more than one Yakuza gang. There's a thing such as rival gangs user. Also, the perpetrators were on the lowest end of the totem pole for the Yakuza. They were even excommunicated. They only got to walk free because they were minors when they committed the crime.
2 years prison then set free homeless
If he pleads insanity, then he'll spend the rest of his life in a padded cell wearing a straightjacket. Who knows? Maybe they'll give him a lobotomy.
>crying over a corporation
How westernized
>clownworld
You need to grow up.
>have sex
>zoomer
fuck off, tourists
Did you just wake up from a coma?
Bet the faggot who did it still considers himself justice incarnate or something.
>Identifying people with who they work for and calling artists with sublime skill and love for their craft a "corporation"
Ask me how I know you're American.
RIP. The lack of any understandable motive makes this murder really tragic.
>clownworld
This is peak euphoric posting. The world didn't suddenly become retarded, it's been slightly retarded forever. But they notice it now and so have to coin a new word to signal how observant they are.
Fucking hell I feel so bad for her kids
kyoanifags are cucks
If they don't play the dark hero here they are fucking scum. That crime was against for anything that a person may hold precious. If it was in Italy, mafia would remove them no matter what family they may be from. The family itself would remove them.
Fuck this.
why is it always a guy in a red shirt?
Completely stopped coming here or watching news and all. Seriously I just took a nap from anything.
Fuck I'm really sad to read about news of the arson.
There has in fact been an unprecedented and rapid escalation in the clownishness and in-group lingo can never be "signalling" but nice try at trying to once again turn valid insults (virtue signalling) from 100 years ago back on the people rightly attacking you with them now. You're the typical collage kid who doesn't know what "snowflakes" are and tries to cleverly reverse it back on Republicans. Cringe.
Did the perp die yet or is he in prison? Last I heard he was being treated for bad burns
This was a tragedy of an apocalyptic scale and we're never going to see a sequel of Haruhi again.
The director of Violet Evergarden is still alive so there are hopes for a sequel, but what will happen to the others?
FMP? Whatever happens to KyoAni, they won't be forgotten.
>collage kid
Cringe. Maybe finish that high school you dropped out from.
>NOOOOO, YOU CAN'T JUST USE NEW SLANG WORDS OTHERWISE YOU'RE A NEWFAG!!!!!!
>There has in fact been an unprecedented and rapid escalation in the clownishness
That you've noticed
> in-group lingo can never be "signalling"
Are you retarded? All virtue signalling is in-group. It doesn't work on people you fundamentally disagree with because they don't consider the same things to be virtuous.
Maybe the future would have been different if you decided to stay, user.
Fuck off
>192478468
Stop trying to hide you're a crossboarding nigger.
You honestly think they love their work and isn't just collecting another paycheck?
You actually, unironically think they care about "you" and not money?
It feels off to me, this yakuza claim. Too easy. It's just a society that created some fucked up, amoral animals who can't cope with that fact (and this isn't a unique incident) that they exist as regular citizens.
They just want it to have been people who are already accepted as criminals because it doesn't challenge them to face ugly reality.
Incidentally, yakuza are well known for hating and destroying young dumbasses who draw attention, throw weight around, get into fights or anything else that gives them a bad reputation as thugs (which they associate with foreigners). Losing your cool in general and certainly sloppy murder for no reason is a ticket to getting disappeared pronto.
I feel so bad for them and all their families.
Go back to Yea Forums you fucking cocksucker.
Is this shitposting? I can't even tell anymore these days.
based
>mostly people in their 20's and 30's
shit's fucked yo
Everything is shitposting nowadays, honestly can you tell if your post isn't a shitpost or not?
>You honestly think they love their work and isn't just collecting another paycheck?
I think your world must be pretty colorless and gray user, ir you really meant this.
Yuri is a sin, so they will probably rot in hell
You can blame me then
Not Kyoani, they're different from other studios.
Kyoani people spent their pocket money to improve the animation, no side benefits there just fulfilling their creative needs.
Not to mention most of them were cute virgins
Goodamn
Reality is colourless and gray. Anything else is just internal coping
>people now cry over 3d sluts dying
How this board has fallen. Old Yea Forums would be celebrating every roasted toastie
Fuck off, Kyoani waifus are 2.5D.
Not really user. It's just you dead inside.
Embarrassing post.
There's nothing I don't notice dipshit. Never in millennia has there been shit like encouraging children to get mutilated as a fashion statement for parents, just off the top of my head. Grow the fuck up. You're left behind and indoctrinated. ENDLESS examples of all-new shit along with old poisons that have been allowed or encouraged to escalate in ways not only never seen in human history, but actively encouraged on live tv.
CLOWN
WORLD
DEAL WITH IT
>All virtue signalling is in-group
Bzzzt wrong, retard. Virtue signals are to annouce and convince anyone and everyone of your righteousness about whatever mundane crap you're preaching. Hence comment sections and 4channel here being full of you fucks right in this thread. You came into a thread full of openly hostile and downright evil shitposting mixed with most likely some actual vile hate and tried to SIGNAL your VIRTUE by laughably trying to insult the scumbags and trolls who are least affected by it. You are white knighting in a thread about anime imaginary girls getting wrecked. Unironically, with total tone deafness and 0 self awareness. You're done and ignored and can't even make a reply that gets read.
You need to grow up a little and do some self-reflecting. Ideally leave California when you graduate, see the real world. And That's A Good Thing!
old Yea Forums would've had seiyuu thread with 250+ replies somewhere on page 5, newfag
All whom fantasize about raping and killing them
hailed as a hero for killing yurishit
>192478616
Stop trying to fit in so hard.
But they loved seeing idols crash and burn. Like Aya Hirano.
After you.
Wait, Aya Hirano is dead?
Nobody ever became a goddamn anime animator to get rich. They make jack shit, even at better studios like Kyoani they're lower class. Nobody ever did this job for any reason other than obsessive love for the craft. Edgelord.
Ouch! My hand!
Nope, summer. Old Yea Forums loved Lucky Star and would have cried bloody tears about this. They would also have laughed at carnage but certainly not celebrated.
You're talking about pre-/jp/ segregation?
I didn't say that?
Fixed your attempt to dodge responses. It's not a thing, newfag.
No, she wasn't even in Japan. She tweeted from NYC with pictures of her going to musicals, and later her in iirc the Grand Canyon or maybe Bryce Canyon a few days later. She didn't mention it at all until a week later when she retweeted some news, the #prayforkyoani hashtag, and changed her profile pic to her wearing the yellow Haruhi ribbon in her hair.
Info on the bassist is not forthcoming as of now.
I'm not buying the yakuza protecting the killer claim either. Currently they're too notorious for it to be worth protecting them.
Maybe they're walking around safely due to their fame/lack of (extreme) vigilantism in Japan.
I wouldn't be that bleak. They did it for the money yes, but they probably also liked doing it or were working towards their end goal. Reality isn't gray/full HD colour like that.
>Never in millennia has there been shit like encouraging children to get mutilated as a fashion statement for parents, just off the top of my head.
Circumcision and FGM has been going on for centuries.
> Virtue signals are to annouce and convince anyone and everyone of your righteousness about whatever mundane crap you're preaching
Correct, that is the intent. This doesn't work that way because the virtues each group holds dear are different. Your group for example, considers seeing the world as a clownworld virtuous and you're signalling that to everyone but only your group will see that as righteous.
Post all the horrible insults you want about Kyoani girls, I don't mind. Hint: I'm a radical centis so I don't care about shit like that. You really need to step away from politics a little bucko.
Aya Hirano received less shit in the first few months following the scandal than she receives now.
>There has in fact been an unprecedented and rapid escalation in the clownishness
There hasn't been, it's just a different type. If you've been here long enough you'll remember people on Yea Forums unironically using "LOL" and finding memes like shoop da woop funny. You'll remember all kinds of other things that are "cringy" to look back on because they were the product of their time.
Lingo changes and not everyone will like everything, you're simply noticing it more because it's not something you personally find funny.
>Yea Forums always had the (You) feature
Sure, kid.
He's just a teen /pol/tard and talks about his /pol/shit, not even Yea Forums-related.
>shoop da woop
Those were the good old days...
RIP
At least Kazumi Ikeda made it through. Only 1 of the character designer from this chart is still at kyoani right now.
>unironically using "LOL" and finding memes like shoop da woop funny
Christ I remember doing that and it makes me cringe. At least now I don't judge others for doing similar things so some good came of it.
>shoop da woop
>Those were the good old days
I can tell you read about Yea Forums on Encyclopedia Dramatica
>people trying to serious and solemn about people that made trashy cartoons about sexy high school kids.
Almost as weird as trying to be serious and solemn about a pedo who wanted to become peter pan, a man who cleaned his bare feet in the toilet and thought he could cure cancer with fruit, and a dozen strung out crackheads who reached their expiration date at 27.
literal nobodies who cares
>a pedo who wanted to become peter pan
Ayo, don't be dissin my boy Michael.
Sorry you're wrong.
I'M SORRY I COULDN'T PROTECT YOUR SMILES
>3d sluts dying
>old Yea Forums celebrating
Nah they're the people who drew your waifu retard. If seiyuus are considered 2.5D then what about artists and animators?
I think it is widely accepted that the arsonists did it due to perceive slight and plagiarism after entering kyoani LN contest.
In the end, LN is really the catalyst in killing the anime industry.
>implying I have a kyoani waifu
No
Is there still no proof that they stole his idea? He's probably just schizo
You're right, sorry. It was disrespectful of me to say he wanted to be Peter Pan when I really meant "was actively trying to become him by huffing pure oxygen on a regular basis"
So who designed kyoukai kanata's characters?
How can you prove it? It's a fucking LN, they're indistinguishable from eachother.
****
I'm pretty sure the arsonist did it because Sound! Euphonium allegedly ripped off a meme he invented about saxophones.
>sound
What the fuck, user.
Not in the chart or in the deceased list
He did Violet, KnK and Amagi
99% on this board wants to be a little girl
May their souls find peace.
They're 3D but 2D-enabling 3D so I doubt their deaths be celebrated. Not to mention they're probably not sluts.
On the one hand, LN finances anime. On the other, it literally kills anime. It's a complicated deal.
It's not the manchild aspect that triggered my autism. It's the pedo allegation
regardless it's still same people who are into chinese cartoons to say old Yea Forums would celebrate is ridiculous.
>Hibike! Euphonium
Better?
Yes.
>Not sluts
>mostly females
Any gathering with a majority of females will end up with all of them spreading their legs to the few guys in a desperate attempt to compete with the others. Happens many times and is common.
The LN industry and writers are creatively bankrupt. Wouldn't even surprise me if he thought dark flame master or some chuu2 name is direct ripoff of his meme isekai LN
At least you're keeping yourself pure.
Neo Yea Forums on full steam.
Studio wars, shit flinging for cheap (you)'s, /pol/itics, Yea Forumsermins and reddit spacing all in one thread instead of talking about the new info. Kyoani arson really shed the light on how Yea Forums finally died.
Try to save the thread with lolis then, I'm at work so I can't do it.
Getting (You)'s are what help us cope with our shitty lives user.
It's fucked how much this place has changed as a whole really. The old guard are still around but overshadowed by newcunts.
This happens everywhere.
Taichi Ogawa seems to have made it after all then.
That's what happens when you have a generational shift in userbase and making the site more welcoming for normalfags.
Yea Forums got too big for its own good.
The average age of Yea Forums posters is around 16. It's always been like this.
>what the fuck, are you seriously telling me you're using this site as it was intended and browsing more than one board at a time? please leave, this is upsetting me soooooo much!!
>192479433
Next time, shitpost without getting yourself banned.
>Wojak posting
You're not even trying to hide that you're a crossborder
The wojak board is over there buddy
Seems like most of the VEG staff made it out alive.
>Hibike S3 (if they ever continue it)
I don't think that's happening now and it's interesting how that works out. I was one of the people who went to see the final Hibike film when it premiered in US theaters on July 11 and I had a great time and couldn't wait for the continuation that they were so obviously leading up to. Then that motherfucker went and killed the soul of the show and of KyoAni in general just like that. All these people probably had a lot of years left ahead of them and plenty more stuff to make and now they're all dead.
It's just been a bit over a month since the killings and it's felt like a fucking year, man. KyoAni was my favorite studio and I think they had potential to do mind-blowing things, and now all that's gone. I've mostly retreated into manga now because I feel like anime is kind of dead at this point.
Turf wars?
Youre legacy will involve nothing because you're a fat neckbeard loser.
It's not all gone stop being so dramatic.
Well have fun getting (you)s before getting banned
Kyoani can still make S3, but it would probably look medicore compared to before.
The still have the VEG special coming out next month.
Don't give up hope, user! Kyoani was a very special studio and I'm sure the survivors want it to be like that in the future too.
Morbid to say but the majority of them were interns.
Can you stop justifying his shit in the most ironic way?
Not all gone. Just the best people, is all, but not all gone tho
Barisaku theory was proven wrong within just a couple of days, user.
He's objectively insane and it's moronic not to say so.
justifying what? that he's crazy?
I was talking about this fucking user you fucking seniles
Most of them were interns, sure, but losing Kigami and all of those 40-something people who had been with company for years was catastrophic. They'll never be able to recover from that short of necromancy.
What are the best headphones for experimental genre?
Even if KyoAni never makes anything again, they have an impressive catalog of works to serve as a monument to the people who lost their lives or were severely injured
Or you could just not be a total retard.
Dang, so what kind of animation work do we expect from the company from here? And with that will working conditions remain the same?
I think facebook is more your speed newfaggot.
So who was the person found in the recording/sound room?
>telling others to grow up
What website do you think you're on? He's completely right, you should fuck off.
The new studio will be a fortress on an island.
That's not really what I was expecting
I wonder who was the one who burned so badly they couldn't tell their gender. Or the one who died burning against the window
I think you got the wrong website.
fuck you
Grow up.
I hardly visit threads anymore since it's usually just filled with generic crossboarding canned-replies. Even making my own threads is a chore since those idiots flood in and shit them up too. Or better yet they start asking for "sauce" and 10 retards spoonfeed them within 5 minutes. Almost as if they think they're getting post karma.
No you
I'd argue they should go for something less protected so they can bust out if there's trouble. The problem in this case was that their studio was too robust to break through and escape.
If a knifeman sneaks into their fortress, they're trapped and fucked.
That's the price for allowing shounenshit to exist on this board.
>Implying they can't just gang up on the guy like bees to a hornet
Hiroyuki Takahashi? Is this for real?
God damn. RIP Eupho series. He is the crazy man behind the instruments.
they'll definitely have a better security system
People age user. It doesn't matter if you're an oldfag or not if the board is filled with a newfags and normies. There's a high chance that there are kids lurking here right now that were born the year we first started browsing Yea Forums.
Imagine dying to this fat fuck
>normies
>There's a high chance that there are kids lurking here right now
Yeah, you.
Man, looking at all these names finally hit me.
They're actually all dead
But in all seriousness, what do we expect from them here on out?
You're gonna carry that weight.
It could be worse.
Just be glad the arsonist didn't wipe out all the top people from kyoani
A1/Cloverworks/Aniplex are already approaching Yamada as we speak. People might show solidarity for the victims, but this is a perfect opportunity for companies to poach talent and eat well from KyoAni's burnt corpse. You think Yamada will wait years to work again?
Being bought out. Having their staff and properties poached.
They don't rest, user. They're dead.
Would definitely feel bad for them and their families if they weren't all feminists pushing an agenda. Couldn't care less about them now.
youtu.be
This is a big blow to Eupho.
>feminists pushing an agenda
Again not the answer I was looking for samefag
Are the people who drew Kumiko's feet okay?
Hopefully the best ones get taken so they don't have to work on any of those LN adaptions again. It felt like such a waste of talent for most of this decade and I'm sure there are a lot of other studios that could put them to better use.
If it made you happy why wouldn’t you show you cared for them and their works? I bet you are thinking “I am too intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor for this!”.
no, fuck you leatherman
I hope she gets another kirara.
Both the character designers for hibikek and Liz are dead
based Moe Slayer
Fascinating stuff. Is it the feminist or the agenda pushing that you dislike?
Isn't it a bit too convenient that the fire would break out exactly on the day Hideaki Hatta was away? It's horseshit and foul play from more than one party if you ask me and no one's investigating it. Now that old fuck wants to demolish the building and build some shitty park. I say leave it because it reminds people of what happened and makes them raise questions.
Are you making this up or were they really feminists? I didn't know moe was compatible with feminism.
Dude not everything is a conspiracy user
Either use your head and consider possibilities or stop breathing altogether retard.
It's a chance for their young talents to show themselves.
The new KA won't be the same but necessarily worse.
How would he know about some arsonist? Think of the logic.
What exactly could be the hidden master plan behind burning down one of your buildings, killing 1/4th of your workforce and suffering proprietary injury worth millions of dollars? Tell me about the possibilities, Yea Forumsnon.
Yeah, it's really hard to believe that a man that isn't directly involved in the production process wouldn't be in the main production studio every single day.
Japanese women's rights advocacy is pretty different from western feminism. Most notably, it's not completely retarded.
So this the power of /pol/....woah!!!
Who knows, that's why you gotta investigate. Insurance, raising the value of your studios products on the market, personal vendetta for shit that could have played out between individuals that we do not know. He doesn't need to have been one of the culprits you dumbass, but if there was a group vendetta against anyone in Kyoani or a good portion of the studio, he as a person of status and wealth could have been either warned to stay away that day or even lured out. You really are dense if you don't know about shit like this which is commonplace not only in Japan but everywhere.
Because most arsonists, nutcases and mental patients are mentally controlled puppets. They're thw easiest to convince into anything or manipulate through different means and in most cases, the idea nutcases get comes from someone else. This is a fact.
Not retarded yet.
It's entirely possible yes. People don't believe it's probable enough to consider investigating it.
Which is where you come in Yea Forumsnon, convince Japan it's worth investigating.
Your overthinking this WAY to much here pal. It's not that deep, he was a mentally unstable man with obsession, end of story. Now back off to /pol/ with the other conspiracy theorists.

Not just the musical instruments in K-on! and Eupho, Hiroyuki Takahashi also designed the props and settings in most KyoAni anime.
He was very good at perspective and technical drawing.
i'm sure more than 40 people have commit suicide over KyoAni's works so it all evens out in the end.
Unless he's one of the victims still in critical condition
Trying hard to fit in. newfags aren't all from reddit. If he does something embarrassing that points out that he is from reddit then call him out but if he just makes a simple mistake then call him a newfag and correct him.
Kill yourself.
A few particularly painful ones.
>Takahashi Hiroyuki

>Kusano Sumire

>Miyaji Atsushi
Veteran in-between animator
Plus most of the new recruits are gone.
I wonder how KyoAni pushes forward. Eupho was nothing like K-ON. It was actually remarkable to have been done in TV anime simply because of the highly detailed line work that goes to animating brass instruments. I need to refresh my memory on Sakamichi no Apollon but I don't remember the instruments there looking as good as Eupho's. Not to mention, Eupho has to animate more instruments.
If KyoAni decides to postpone future Eupho projects for years, I am up for it. What KyoAni has lost is decades of talent that were honed gradually through time.
So what will there future works be like? Similar to how they regularly are, significantly worse, Give some honest answers
That will take years for them produce anything significant. It's not like you can just whip out your own style and then expect it to stick with the whole team. It's not a coincidence that KyoAni's animators tend to follow a certain style. It's for consistencies sake.
I just wanted a Kumiko x Reina ending and with the important the eupho staff dead it's impossible now.
It won't happen even if the fire didn't occur.
You don't know they're not 100% following the source material and making new changes.
Not really true, a bunch of the key animators and in-between animators are gone. The art director is also gone.
I don't think you are serious but always remember, jet fuel can't melt steel beams!
>Kyoani known for being a building full of nerds living their dreams

Holy fucking hell what is going on with this world.
No god, no justice, no hope.
I'm pretty sure they already lost any of the audience that wants to see that. It would only be good for shitposting if they did it.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The future of the studio now depends mainly on 3 (three) people. They'll have to carry the burden of leading the survivors, reorganizing the studio's animation school, promoting key individuals and directing successful shows.
Say something nice to them Yea Forums.
I just wanna see their smiles again.
>Thinking studios matter
KyoAni is replaceable. All they lost was a building and a few dozen people who draw pictures, which plenty of Japs can do.
I wish for them to carry that weight

How am I going to watch/rewatch anything from KyoAni now?
If everything matters then nothing matters.
People are not made to care about the life of billions, but you'd know that if you weren't an immature prayfor hashtag spamming insincere shitstain.
In a different way.
Just remember the people that passed wouldn't want you to watch their hard work with sadness - try to celebrate and appreciate what they were able to accomplish during their lives instead.
>Jannyvirgin got so mad he have to ban me
Hahahahahaha oh i'm sorry did i hurt your fragile feeling?

How is that supposed to help?
No name credits I'd assume
fucking takemoto. he directed the only kyoani shows i actually liked.
Oh, that makes sense.
Common sense isn't philosophy.
Well maybe it is for your underage mind.
Ah finally, I found this more up-to-date lists. Well Takase isn't on the lists and Horiguchi left kyoAni recently though.
>People are not made to care about the life of billions

Glad to know Fujita survived. She's about to make her debut as a full director with the VEG side story movie.

This. The medium was already dead by the time Fukushima happened. It sucks that all of those staff members died but the truth is KyoAni was just good because they still had some old guard (not 90's old) still working with them and they had more money than any other studio but nobody really cares about stuff like that.
What really shocked me was how people here cared more about the fact they wouldn't get a season 2 of some whatever show than the fact that lots of people lost friends and family.
Yeah I care more about the people who made things I enjoy than random niggers in Africa or whatever.
>What really shocked me was how people here cared more about the fact they wouldn't get a season 2 of some whatever show than the fact that lots of people lost friends and family.
Why is this shocking? The fact that those who died had family and friends doesn't affect Yea Forumsnime watchers anywhere as much as not getting season 2 of whatever moeshit they were looking forward to. People will post words of condolences out of politeness and feeling obliged to but the fact is, the friends and relatives are too detached from us to care much.
>people here cared more about the fact they wouldn't get a season 2 of some whatever show than the fact that lots of people lost friends and family
I think you read most of the edgy posts then.
Those who genuinely grieved cared the most about the people who's fate was unknown at the time. Sadly on topic posts were washed away by the innumerable amount of shitposts and "epic trolls" from other boards due to the global fund announcement literally inviting the cancer to Yea Forums.
>how dare some people get sad over the loss of a series they liked
Bruh.
Their anime are literally their connection with the fanbase, not every fan has to know who is who inside the studio.
>the friends and relatives are too detached from us to care much
I get that completely but some people cared WAY too much that say, Violet Evergarden or whatever wasn't going to get a second season
Someone clearly didn't read what I said.
Dude there's nothing wrong with caring about second seasons, there's nothing wrong with not knowing who works at KyoAni and thus being unable to care on a personal level.
Fans are fans, end of story.
I didn't say there was nothing wrong about caring about a second season. I just said that some people cared way too much.
>some people
Shallow personalities and ironic anime watchers who watch youtube reviews for recommendations are not people.
There's no such thing as caring way too much you dense mofo. Some fans love X series to death and get devastated at the news of said X series becoming unable to ever get another season.
How dare Haruhites wait a little longer
You're too upset over what people grieve over.
They'll be waiting 4ever. Especially after this tragedy.
>What really shocked me was how people here cared more about the fact they wouldn't get a season 2 of some whatever show than the fact that lots of people lost friends and family
How is that shocking? Those people are just being honest and only care about the Kyoani fire because it affects them. You think anyone legitimately cares that a bunch of people died, no one did, especially those being the moral police about "edgy posts"? These people weren't individuals in their minds, and you know what? That's okay. It's better then those neet losers pretending they are genuinely grieving because that's the "right thing" to do. Had that fire happened elsewhere in Japan, no one here would care. If that fire happened outside Japan, even less people will care, because they would be irrelevant people who aren't doing anything for them. No reason to give a shit.
I'm genuinely sad about Kigami and Nishiya because I've always admired their skills, it also saddens me to know the survivors I care about are gonna have to deal with this shit. Now fuck off.
People really forgot this fast.
No seiyuu died so his life is safe as long his lawyers do a good job.
I think making a new season of an existing series would be a great way to train new recruits. They can use previous seasons for reference on how things are supposed to look. In doing so they learn the kyoani style. At the same time it would also be a great thank you to the fans that have supported them to get another season of their beloved series.
Didn't KyoAni stole the arsonist's novel? That would make the company directly responsible for the deaths.
Kill yourselves
Execution by hanging in like 10 years. Japan still does this regularly so there is no way he isn't getting the same treatment.
Depends on the series. The rookies that'll get involved in the inevitable VEG season 2 are going to learn Takase's style which is vastly different to the rest of the designers.
That's obviously not a bad thing since as one of the remaining designers she'll be entrusted with a lot more work.
>insanity charges
In my third world shithole, this is far worse than a prison. At least you still be human after prison, but compulsory treatment would make you a blank page, and not a single emotion would ever taint that "page".
>in like 10 years
so what will he be doing during those ten years? Eating and watching TV behind bars?
Writing his next novel.
if they get released somewhere else they're probably not getting the name until dead, they're lives are basically forfeit either way at this point if they're still in ICU after all this time they'll be that way forever
so basically everyone who made the opening to Air is now dead
youtube.com
he won't be that comfortable. he might also experience a few "accidents" while in prison waiting for the day he goes to the execution room which he will never know when it may come
What are the triangles for?
black=people we already knew about
Sequels to Haruhi and FMP were never going to be touched by Kyoani again anyway, we got sequels to them already and they were handled by other studios
Rest in peace
It had it in Yea Forums x for a long time before it became part of the inline
Doesn't mean those properties can't come back home to kyoani.. or better yet be collaborations with other studios
except she goes months/years without work now, granted her family's rich so she doesn't have to go out of her way for work, that's why she only takes semi-major roles still like Migi, if she's going to work she wants it to be fun work.
You should really should watch Violent Evergarden and Liz and the Blue Bird if you like anything from old Kyoani, Dragon Maid is fun too but the other two are masterpieces
yeah that'll happen when 1/4 of your staff dies, he meant the directors in comparison to stuff like Chuunibyo and Free that got fucking decimated
If Shinpei Sawa and Tatsuya Sato survived, they can be one of the foundations for KyoAni's animation department.
>People really forgot this fast.
they really didn't numbnuts.

I know that Takase is really good, but we have yet to see her adaptation style. Nishiya already proved himself that he can do both while still stamping his own identity into it. His adapted designs for Nichijou and Koe no Katachi were top notch.
that room looks comfy as shit, nothing like a Turkish prison cell. What's so bad about it?
>His adapted designs for Nichijou and Koe no Katachi were top notch.
I'm really going to miss him ;_;
Probably going to be hung.
youtube.com
Rest in Peace Ikeda. You will be missed.
It's mostly the President's fault that they never touched them again, I really hate that guy, a real piece of shit, is there anything more useless than a animation studio president?
>is there anything more useless than a animation studio president
You.
at least I didn't try to stop the names from coming out
Yeah, letting the families who lost their loved ones grieve in peace without NHK sticking their filthy nose into everything is a real asshole move dumbass.
Why do we even bother? Not like what happens to him at this point makes a difference. Only thing that matters is that he gets locked up.
The fact that there's still 10 people which are hospitalized and we'll probably never know their identities is fucking depressing. We can't even be truly certain that "fill with X Kyoani name that you think can be the future of Kyoani" is completely fine.
If they're still hospitalized after a month, they're most likely in a state that won't let them work or even live a normal life anymore.
I suppose we'll be able to draw conclusions just the day the first Kyoani post-arson work is finally delivered. If any of the names we're assuming they will be the current remaining backbone of the studio are missing from the credits. Then we can safely assume he/she is most likely in a hopeless condition (that for them might actually be the same as being dead in life, like animators with no hands, eyes or something like that)
Only years will tell. I hope the injured, at least, can be in a state that will let them work again some day. If I were animator with my legs amputated I think I can manage to return to normal in the long run. But if my hands were taken, that's just like a death sentence.
If I remember correctly only 3 of the people in the hospital are still in critical condition at least when I read the article , the rest are simply recovering in hospital.
That's not to say that this is somehow any better, because it's really not. Burns can be extremely life changing.
What right do you have to know that information?
That's a photo provided by the government to the media. Most aren't that nice
refworld.org
Yeah it's really not.
Not allowed to communite with any fellow inmates, you have to sit there for the whole day and are not allowed to move/stand up at all. Only allowed three books for your stay, and the only time you get to stretch your legs is a short 30 min exercise period once a week. At night you have to sleep on the floor with no blankets provided.
If you're really bored the most you are permitted to do is construct reusable shopping bags as a "job"
They also don't tell you when you're set to be executed until an hour before, and most prisoners languish in the detention center for up to a decade.
Why do they keep them around for so long?
From what I understood, almost all of the injured people have already recovered nicely. Don't quote me on this though, I have been reading NHK articles through Google Translate.
>Key players in the Disappearance and Hyouka staff are gone
This hurts so much. But their works are timeless. Now I want to get that Hyouka BD that I couldn't afford when I was a student.
Psychological torture I would assume.
I watched Hyouka for the first time after the incident. It was a very complicated and powerful experience; the former because of the circumstances and the latter because it was really good. It's crazy to learn how many of those people are gone forever.
>Don't quote me on this though, I have been reading NHK articles through Google Translate.
It does get a bit creative with its translations sometimes.
Ah machine translation.
It's not just Google.
Is that a JAV title?
>Mizushima cumshots
Lmao, google translator now looks good beside that.
>cumshot
How in the flying fuck?
Such a tremendous loss of life and talent. I wish nothing but the best for KyoAni but they've basically been gutted as a company at this point and nothing will ever be the same, whether it's their new output(if there is any) or the work environment. This will be hanging over the survivors forever like a specter and the weight of their friends and colleagues no longer being around will always weigh on them. Even if the stories weren't always the best(e.g. Phantom World was atrocious to me), at the very least I thought KyoAni could and often produce amazing visuals- especially for television- and their style was unique and immediately recognizable.
With anime visuals these days being full of abundant and shameless CGI shortcuts and cheap excrement brought in from Korea, I thought KyoAni really stood out among the pack and that was one of the reasons they were my favorite currently running studio. Now they're basically gone and no amount of money is ever going to change that. Fuck this, man.
FUCK
This is what all yurifags look like
Predictive text translation based on your search habits obviously
It isn't a contest you stupid shit
You know, I can't help but wonder if the reaction to the fire would have been different if it happened to a different studio like Liden Films or Silver Link.
I don't think they're gone. It will be hard? Of course, the hardest thing to accept in their lifes, but they'll eventually learn how to function with that perpetual grieve and sadness they will eternally feel (it's not something you overcome, but your learn how to handle)
Probably they'll have a portion of the remaining staff which wouldn't be able to continue and Kyoani will suffer a massive renovation of staff in the next years.
The only thing that I really recommend is to be patient. And accept whatever comes from the studio now, even if it's something completely inferior in overall quality compared with before.
The only thing I know for certain is that Kyoani's excellence quality code is not going to change ever, they'll do what you they can now, but in 10-20 years they'll be the same if not stronger. At least as long they're still named Kyoto Animation, that fact will never change.
I was wondering the same thing myself- I think there would still be a lot of sadness and support- but kyoani has iconic series like K-On and Haruhi that so many people enjoyed.
Regardless 35 artists lost their lives.
The road is going to be a long tough one for Kyoto Animation. I hope they'll be stronger and more well positive in the long future.
I doubt it'd get anyway near the level of attention this did. Even though both of those studios have made better stuff than Kyoani in the past few years they don't really have studiofags in the same way. I couldn't imagine them even getting half the level of donations.
This is the price to pay for ruining the industry with Moeshit and LN trash.
Yea Forums is one of the better boards on this site but when I see posts like this, it really makes me feel my age. I probably should have stopped posting here 3-4 years but here I am.
It's not Yea Forums, it's /reddit/ making these posts.
>it's /reddit/ making these posts.
It's /pol/ and Yea Forums right?
Yes, exactly.
A lot of young people, So fucking sad to see.
It'll be a miracle if Kyoani ever bounce back from a devastating thing like this.
They need to be eradicated but Hiroyuki is a bastard for not doing everything about this.
I use /pol/ and Yea Forums but don't make these posts though, you might have the stereotypical idea of a /pol/tard and maybe you'd not be wrong for having that but you also have the type that uses that thinking to defend artists more than someone left leaning would like in the case of Yaginuma, who even diehard animator lovers like Yuyucow and Canipa disowned for political reasons
>Not allowed to communicate with any fellow inmates
That's a plus isn't it?
Humanity deserves to know who these people were
I don't see why /pol/ would make these posts, honestly. I just think they get blamed for everything because the 2016 election kind of fucked things up on this site(and the Internet in general) and people like to have a scapegoat.
not just in regards to now, but for the future
I use /pol/ and I've been nothing but devastated since it happened. Also most of /pol/ loves anime.
You know the answer.
look at that fat fuck
for what I recall from when I started visiting here in 2009 is that kyoani have always been called out for moeshit
"moeshit" is a big indicator for Yea Forumsermin scum
It's the fastest of all boards and is generally regarded as the newfag gateway since Yea Forums lost this title.
Rest in Peace Ikeda-san, thanks for everything.
This artwork Ikeda did is much sadder when I think of the two young daughter she is leaving behind;_;
Satelight will adapt his novel.
That's not for you to decide. If the relatives want to keep quiet about it for now then you let them be.
One little girl who wrote a letter and delivered it to the flower memorial Kyoani put in Kyoto said: "Goodbye mom, remember to eat well"
Who knows if it was directed towards Shouko...
seems pretty hypocritical for them to release these names while the victim names from the Sagamihara stabbings are still undisclosed.
NHK and the rest have been unbearably intrusive in the situation. They have no respect.
>Also most of /pol/ loves anime.
That, too. So I think the /pol/ blaming is misguided.
Why is God like this?
And the retards unironically using the term "moeshit" have always been called out for being retards.
NHK right from the start have been selective about the information. Take note that if it weren't for some other sources, we would not have any information that their media staff were intended guest on the day the incident happened.
>Yasuhiro Takemoto
>(The) Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (movie) : Director, Storyboard, Key Animation

>(The) Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (movie) : Character Design, Chief Animation Director (Ultra Chief Animation Director), Key Animation
Fuck.
For all those people who say "BRUH WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHEN YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MILLIONS WHO DIE EVERY MONTH IN THE WORLD" then here's my answer:
Those millions are no-names that didn't matter to me, I never gave a shit and they didn't make the world any better for me, nor did they even give fun entertainment. They were literally no-one to me and had they not existed, it wouldn't have made a difference to me.
These people at KyoAni made entertainment, they made art for people to see. They have their craft and talent on display with their names attached to it. They entertained me and Yea Forums, they made me laugh, they made me cry, they made me feel all sorts of emotions through their works. These works created a connection between them and me, even if it's just a thin one. Hence why people CARE. Nobody has the time or heart to care about every person in the world, and in any case, someone who does that would be simply inhuman.
You don't need to justify your sadness, user. The people saying that in the first place are just low tier shitposters, not even they believe their bullshit.
This post sums it all up.
It's hilarious that you weeaboo faggots think any of that shit is distinct. Slightly different eyes and mouth? Holy shit it's revolutionary, even though 99% of everything else is identical!
Lmao, have sex.
Nothing personal kid

KYS 3D poster. sage.
This sums up how I feel better than I could ever put into words. For some people - myself included - these people made the world a little better place. More than entertainment, these shows made me smile when I was having a bad day. Or made me cry when I was maybe disconnected from my emotions. I never met them, but I felt like I knew them through their art.
>Ryoji Nishiyama, an officer at the prefectural police department said it took the police more than one month to disclose the names of all the victims due in part to difficulty in identifying them. It's one of KyoAni's CMs.
youtube.com
>caring about the bump limit to a tragedy
You sound absolutely cancerous.
See, now it's posts like this and this that keep me coming back to this place. You guys fucking get it and you both expressed my own thoughts and feelings over the past month better than I probably ever could, but hell I'll ramble for a bit anyway.
KyoAni was and is near and dear to me and it all started 13 years ago with Haruhi. Yeah, so people are murdered en masse every day in shithole Third World countries, so what? Yeah, it's bad, yeah I'm not happy when innocent people are senselessly murdered, but I don't have any emotional attachment to those people or anything they've done. KyoAni did shit that resonated with me on a personal level and gave me comfort in hard times. They were a relatively small group of very dedicated artists who just wanted to make a living entertaining people with their talent and I've admired their work for a good portion of my life. They've also been a major part of anime culture on this very website. Why, then, is it so wrong for people like me to be heartbroken when KyoAni is viciously attacked and 35 of their most important staff are killed? Even if you people are just a bunch of underage faggots from Yea Forums trying to get a rise out of people, go fuck yourselves. Nobody needs or wants you anywhere.
Yeah, sounds like Kyoani lost the vast majority of their signature talent. I worry that their future works will be noticeably lower quality, but they'll just kind of coast on brand recognition.
>I worry that their future works will be noticeably lower quality, but they'll just kind of coast on brand recognition.
Honestly- and I say this as somebody who has been a fan of theirs for over a decade- I think I would rather see them dissolve as a company than go on as a shadow of their former selves. That'd just be too hard to watch, like seeing a friend of yours after he had a massive stroke.
Ah yes. A punishment worse than the death penalty.
i heard kyoanis latest anime was fire
lol
He'll be the fuel for the olympic torch
You sound like you are missing the point.
Pfft. This one's 2 days old
I can see people tracking him down and killing him if that ever happened.
The police or correctional officers will kill him accidently.
But if they kill him, they'll be just like him!
RIP
>Innocent people at an animation studio I adore become the victims of the worst mass murder in the history of post-war Japan
>Classmate who I was friendly with in college was killed in a murder-suicide last week
Anyone ever go through a stretch where a ton of things happen that they just don't understand or know how to cope with?
>go fuck yourselves. Nobody needs or wants you anywhere
Now that's just rude, we have feelings too you know.
Kyoani will be disappointed in you, spreading hate!
Rest in peace.
It still doesn't feel real to me that takemoto is gone.
Man, that's been the story of my life over the past couple of years. Hell, last year one of my best friends(guy I'd known since childhood) died and then this year this shit happens to KyoAni. I think God is pushing me to throw myself in front of a train before the end of the year.
>wanted to see if japs were still talking about this
>try 2ch
>every other thread is just about korea
And Kigami, too. That guy was a veteran and worked on classics. Guy was basically royalty, a mentor figure for probably everyone a tthe company, and probably had another 20 odd years left in him. And now he's fucking gone forever because of one crazy autist who couldn't even remember to turn his own fucking lights off before he went to bed. Fuck life, man.
Why the fuck would you be watching anything from a moeshit studio to begin with
This has been my general sentiment for the past month. I can't even listen to the old Hibike OPs. And this was BEFORE I knew Shouko Ikeda was fucking dead.
I'm not even sure why it's that show in particular that's been effected for me.
I feel really bad for them, and I've enjoyed their shows so I can't just laugh but these hipster grown children types kind of had it coming when they cared more about how whimsical and hip their office space was than safety. reminds me of the warehouse fire where all those hipsters died because they made a staircase out of wood pallets and people couldn't get down to the first level.
I really grew to love Hibike over the past couple of years and that love was cemented when I saw the final film last month. Made me really excited for the new season. Now that is never going to happen and what has already been done will be forever tinted by the tragedy. KyoAni was one of the last refuges from the reality of my frankly worthless existence and now they're just another source of sadness in my life. Why did things have to turn out this way?
That building has to come down
She looks like Yamada.
Most of the people that made VEG happen are alive. They'll manage.

Is awful that someone’s ill mentally can take from you a beloved one in such a way that you can’t even give them a proper farewell.
It might have been less lethal at another studio
So yourself a favor and read more before commenting. Also, who the hell uses “hipsters” nowadays? Are you from 2010?
Hatta said he intends for demolition to start ASAP
Suppose the police investigation/insurance/data recovery is getting in the way of that
That reminds me, I wonder about the locations of the two who died later on.
Also, the back corner of the first floor was a recording studio, and one body was found there.
and didn't Aoni say one of their voice actresses is missing?
there are a couple names on the list without any information - could just be that they're new hires, but it also makes me wonder if that rumor about it being a newbie VA is true.
When starving niggers in Africa start delivering top tier anime and I'll give a fuck.
The central police hoped not to disclose the name, but the local police made it public.
The reason is that concealment creates unnecessary speculation.
No, after a few weeks of solitude and no stimulation having a conversation with murderers and rapists is like a godsend.
I just wish the media would give a little bit of discretion
Already articles in the newspaper talking about the victims.
I suppose I should be happy they're getting the recognition they deserve, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it's against the wishes of so many bereaved families
Not a huge fan of most of their works but it's a real shame to see so many talents lost. Fuck that fat fuck
>She was also a mother of two kids.
at least that seems to be talking about their legacy, instead of harassing the family members like Kyodo will inevitably do.
Fuck this gay earth.
Found one for Maiko Nishikawa
www3.nhk.or.jp
From Teller Report
Maiko Nishikawa (29), who died in a case where the studio of “Kyoto Animation” was set to fire, belonged to the art department while attending high school in Nagano Prefecture. A person who knew when he was a high school student said, “I was always cheerful and cheerful and actively engaged in club activities. Why should I be involved in such an incident without any fault?” .

Good news everyone, now those BDs can sell out aga-- too late.
Pretty sad to see the artist responsible for kumiko fluffy hair is kill
...
What would you do if the fat ass stand in front of you now?
Literally whos?
Not if you have multiple personalities and an endless thought stream
What's this? JAV thread?
Punished Yamakan soon.
They're dead, maybe the ideal would be to wait for their immediate family to pass too but waiting the long would just increase the possibility of no one remembering to publish the names, thinking great artists or just great people in general deserve to be left alone and forgotten takes away that their lives had meaning to give those generations down the line who can look on what they left behind and garner something from it, that alone surpasses and worries about sensibilties and formalities that soon won't matter any more once the people they knew pass.
Full scan literally when.
RIP to all these innocent victims
better quality?
fuck the they didn't matter to me or that this people did matter to me, these people matter even if I had never known them, what they left in the world is objectivley great and awe inspiring and something humanity is in desperate little supply of, of all the people I would choose to save in the world, these go in the top 100 of everyone, not just those alive, but of all those who had ever lived, Takemoto maybe top 5
Saw the building the other day, was only there like 2 minutes but there were 5 other people there, all of them were taking pictures, think that's kind of messed up but I guess Otaku aren't the best at processing that kind of thing, they react the only way they know how, I just said a small prayer and left.
What happened? Weren't people yelling at him for saying incensitive stuff after the incident again?
information is going to be limited in english, but if you go through Japanese news and translate stuff we can make the list more complete
Is it weird I hate those stairs more than I hate the killer?
>implying Yamakan gives a shit about anyone other than himself
Crocodile tears for the cameras.
I don't even hate the killer, I just hate what he did.
Yes. The stairs didn't bring 40L of gasoline to the studio and ignite it.
I was like that a long time for anything with Miyu Matsuki, only now kinda getting over it, but with that it's a lot more immediate also, hearing their voice, with staff it's hard to know what did what in a lot of cases, at least for me so I can still go through old stuff like i've been doing. It's sad but less sad not being able to piece exactly what's gone, just a general knowledge that things aren't going to be the same going forward, maybe that means the new stuff will be harder to watch more so than having trouble watching old stuff.
>t. hasn't seen the video
Butthurt Shinkaifags got angry at Yamakan telling Shinkai to shut the fuck up for a second when the arson happened.
Halp, I'm so confussed. Which is which?
Shinkai was giving his thoughts and support, how is it at all appropriate to tell him to shut up?
The man is a washed up hack.
who knows, he's hard to pin down, at the very least I don't think an animator director can be completley emotionaless, having empathy is their job, like just look at Fractale, you can't make that kinda shit and just not care that everyone at your former employer is now dead
but it trapped them their like dogs, like you want to imagine the killer is just some idiot and that if everything else had worked out everyone would have made it out okay and he would just have been reprimanded as a mad man who didn't end up harming anybody, but those stairs fucking locked everyone up their and sealed their fate, I look at those pictures of them from the outside afterward and seeing the black char around it fucking kills me, and can even sleep thinking about it's like looking at the gates of hell filled with all the evil humanity has ever commited in one picture
I get that. I suppose it's more productive to hate the stairs than to hate Shinji at least, as long as you don't hate whoever was responsible for installing the stairs like that.
their accomplishments exceeds the scope of just their family and extends to the larger zeitgeist of all humanity and it's up to us here and now to make sure that the legacy is remembered properly, past our own lives and into the lives of people many years from now past the point of when we die and can no longer relay the story directly
Shinkai doesn't give a shit, he spent that entire day advertising for his newest boy meets girl movie.
>all those people younger than me
Oof.
Saw re-airing of Liz and the Blue Bird the other day cause they were showing at a theater in Tokyo and thought it was a little weird that the selection for seats was only relegated to like a small handful, thought maybe I got something wrong in translation, but when I came back in like an hour the entire place was packed to the brim.
Also I had never seen Liz and the Blue Bird before but god damn, it's a fucking masterpiece, like, tied if not better with Disappearance, I did not fucking expect the movie to be that amazing.
Just as I would have wished nothing more for the staff to have the love and admiration of their closest family and friends to have the best life possible, I want nothing more than for them in death to be continue to be life by as many people as possible, even if their family disagrees.
Bravery.
Kyoani deserved it, people seems to forget.
>Shouko was Kazumi's younger sister
>Kazumi lost much of her life's work, friends and also family in the fire
Christ almighty, how could anyone hope to cope with that level of senseless grief?
Based. Shaft or Ufotable next please tyvm.
You forgot Trigger.
>O-oh my GAWD some gooks D-DIED oh my fucking GAWD like they made my CARTOONS...
>Youngest is 21
>Full of hope and ambition
Fuck off falseflagger, i'm from Yea Forums and even i don't act like a retard.
>said the victims were partly responsible by catering to otaku
I don't think so.
Had to agree with him on that.
>Subject in name field
baaaaaaaaka
Devilish.
What, you wanted a general? Get your butt outta here.
Based and truthpilled
What a dumbass if true.
put sage in the name field to downvote, write your message in the option field, put file name in the subject field
I thought they weren't sisters and just have the same surname
>animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=27993
>Elder sister of Shoko Ikeda
She
I guess, just in case she's fine, she will be doing Hibike S3 designs just to honor her imouto.
Most of the survivors are fine, 1 even resume work a few days after the incident. I believe only 1 needed amputation
>I believe only 1 needed amputation
Leg or arm? Nothing like work to keep your mind off what happened
What did Korea do this time again?
Leg, probably got burnt trying to run away to safety from the first floor
The people in the upper floors were all dead if they didn't jump out
Considering they may have staff which are in good condition to work again, they could follow two paths:
- The first one is to reduce their work output, and use the best animators they have left, give them like 3x or 4x the normal amount of work, but also much more time to work. Companies affiliated with Kyoani will be especially considered in terms of deadlines given the situation. This will mean we might have a new Kyoani work much later in the future, but high quality as before, and maybe even more consistant (considering less people will work but in a longer period of time)
- And the other option is to reduce quality, do some light proyects to hire new animators and train them. Produce as much anime as before but be less ambitious. This one might sound bad, but it would give more chances to new people and renovation of the staff. Also we'll have Kyoani back much sooner than the first option.
I still can't believe they're actually gone
If you'd have the chance to travel back in time to stop the arsonist but at the cost of your own life. Would you agree?
If it's a quick and painless death, an easy yes. Otherwise it'd be a more difficult decision.
I've only ever seen this picture separated into individual portraits
Kinda poignant to see the full picture now
So why aren't there pictures of the bodies being carted out etc
I hope they do the second one. More content gives more chances for something good.
They could also stick to adapting other publishers work to take away some of the responsibility and get better material than usual.

>Motoshi Ishida, 66, appeared at a press conference at Kyoto Prefectural Police's Fushimi Police Station on the evening of Aug. 27. Looking down at a note he prepared beforehand, he forced the words from his mouth when speaking about his son Atsushi, who died at the age of 31.
>"Please support Kyoto Animation where Atsushi worked, and please don't forget that an animator called Atsushi Ishida existed."
I was mostly referring to Yea Forums and its obsession to emulate otaku - the same demographic old Yea Forums made fun of. The fact that she is on some kind of blacklist is quite apparent though.
Yea Forums used to make fun of weaboos. Events, anime club sort of thing, not otaku. Still does, actually.
>not otaku
Otaku included. And their over the top obsession with idols, purity etc.
The usage of the word, maybe.
>And their over the top obsession with idols, purity etc.
How old we are talking about? You sound a lot like someone from 2010-2011 which means not really "old Yea Forums."
