this monetization issue has, for one, completely altered the fan translation scene - we get cruchyroll rips, and shitty gamified, paywalled, anti-adblocked, machine translations by ESLs rolling in patreon bux, who throw bitchfits at any disruptions to the artificicial scarcity of their sekrit club cartel.
(3) such remnants of original site culture get swept aside by the deluge of corporate and state sponsored shill campaigns get amplified by normalfags
