The digital effects make OPM look too clean. Also, while Murata is a good artist he gets far too much credit because of good looking stills. He's nowhere near Toriyama when it comes to paneling and choreography. And he isn't even close to Kubo when it comes to portraying character emotions (which is Kubo's greatest strength). He also isn't that good at portraying motions when he isn't given a large amount of time. The recent oneshot Murata did is called Science vs Magic, it's about a 1v1 arena fight. And when comparing it to Kengan or Shuumatsu it really looks like garbage. There's a good reason why Murata stays in his comfort zone of comedy heavy series, because everytime he tried something more serious it wasn't particularly good.

But it's hilarious how bad Goku looks in both Kohei's and Oda's artstyle, it's always hilarious. Goku is weirdly hard to translate to other art styles well, it's very interesting.

The Hori hype is far worse than the Murata hype. Murata is at least a good artist, even if people praise him far too much.
The only reason people call Hori great is because he's the big new battle shounen artist of this decade. He can't even draw a proper female body. And many of his female characters bodies have clear male body traits. The trunk is particulary bad, woman don't have an almost rectangle trunk with barely any waist (that's a male body trait).
That's another one of Kubo's strengths. But expressions and emotions were his real selling point, and ironically his greatest weakness. The reason Bleach had so few backgrounds was a stylistic choice, Kubo wanted to focus the readers attention to the character expressions. He wants readers to feel the mood a character creates, that's why there are so many white backgrounds in Bleach.
BGs are almost exclusively done by assistants, and he could've easily hired an amazing BG artist. He didn't. Kubo saw backgrounds as something that would negatively impact his strong point, so he threw them away.
I disagree with Kubo's view. Good usage of backgrounds can enchance the mood an artist wants to portray.
