What keeps me interested is that the manga has BASED period propaganda art here and there; arguably better than the real thing. Also you get semi-canonical scenes like and Being X being one of several divine bureaucrats, which really expand the story of the LN and anime. Youjo Senki's adaptations have a weird Rashomon quality, in that you get the full story not from different perspectives but from different artistic interpretations on the same underlying story. Light Novel has rants about the Standford Experiment, anime has Being X timestop and nutcracker scenes (with the Nutcracker itself being a very unique symbolic representation for God, as it is something entirely artificial and built for solely one purpose; as well as stuff like the Nutcracker ballet, which is about a young girl being isekai'd), and manga has the cutest Tanya as well as implications that Tanya would have been Salaryman's daughter, even joining the JSDF for no other reason than to get a 'safe secure career'. All of these aspects are like puzzle pieces, complementing one another. You don't get the full Youjo Senki experience if you just read the LN, or just watch the anime.

There's a ton of stuff included. Some of the stuff that was given to theatre visitors (but with downgraded covers from the amazing cover of the OST to just generic book looking stuff) aswell as a crapton of art and background materials.
The key part though is the book with the gold print on the cover. It's a novel written by Carlo (there was some stuff written by him included in a couple other merch releases in the past) with some original illustration. The notable thing about it is that both he and the artist and a bunch of people specifically singled that thing out when tweeting and retweeting about the Limited BD release.
I really hope it gets translated.

Editor-sama isn't doing his/her job. I think after the initial volume, the quality control editors stop caring about which direction the story takes - probably because any changes that might risk sales could then be blamed on a specific individual decision.
Also, the cast isn't very large and honestly not very interesting. You can see it in Isekai Quartet, all of the Tanya characters (even Visha to some degree) contribute fuck all and are interchangeable.

I don't think that Visha as the wife and Tanya as the daughter is what would have literally happened - as obviously, he got killed - but it does provide interesting information as to how Salaryman is digesting his current situation, like his relationship to his identity as Tanya and what he imagines a hypothetical daughter to have been like. He recognizes Tanya not as a new or false identity, but as a dissociated continuation of his original self. And of course there's the Visha shipping.

The German translation calls her Degretschow, which is fairly passable as a name originating in territory that was German-owned at the time before the first World War. At most you could stretch it to be Polish. Still doesn't change the fact that its a scene that runs counter to what values Tanya otherwise displays in terms of future and family in all the other material and disregards the whole part about there being no way his family could look like that.
It's a pretty crude piece of fanfiction and very hamfisted. It shows that Carlo has little involvement with it.

I would bet money the ending doesn't change at all. Tanya gets paperclipped, that's it. You can see he's just drawing at the story at this point, which is too bad because I wouldn't mind seeing Tanya getting paperclipped so long as then we get a new arc focused on mages in the Jet Age, the continued advancement of magical technology, and the insanity of MAD that follows. But we're going to get none of that, because FUCKING SOMEHOW magic is a technological dead end and mages are replaced by attack helicopters full on. It's just flat out bad worldbuilding in my eyes. Even if technology makes a pre-existing facet of the military obsolete, that facet almost always has enough inertia to make the leap to the next era of warfare. 7th Cavalry Regiment - Custer's Regiment, for those who don't know - is still around and kicking as a combined arms regiment. Tanks, helicopters, infantry. There is absolutely no reason why mages wouldn't still be a thing long after Tanya's time.

It's a liberty the manga takes, though. This is not what I want from the manga. The characterization of Tanya and Being X at that level is what I want from the LN and from Carlo himself. It's where the strength of the LN lies.
The manga should focus on visually expressive things like it does when it shows how Tanya's actions look to the outside due to her cute, small body. Long, completely introspective passages are better told in full in the way the LN does. When the manga does them and worse, does them in a way where it contradicts her characterization in the LN, its doing a disservice.
Yes, you can get something unique out of the manga, but that's the visual reference, not internal thoughts.
