I tried Mermaid Saga last year and thought it was alright. Great premise, mediocre execution.

Amazing; even after erasing all semblance of the Lum archetype, Takahashi forget to get rid of the Ryuunosuke archetype, so there was still a better choice than her Official Love Interest in this series.
