This, part 5 has easily the weakest crew, they have almost 0 interactions, all they do in the part it's just figting.

I can, because is a kino slice of life but with shonen fights. One chapter you have an otaku trying to kill one of the MC and in the other you have Josuke and Okuyazu eating weird italian food. Let’s see the Yukkako episode for example. You have the presentation of Yukkako first, which she’s basically a bitch. After that, Koichi and the others two know her more and they realize she is bitch ass crazy. Then the three tries to solve this problem without fighting (no dignity meme) and it makes the situation worse (she takes him to her home). Then koichi realizes he needs to fight because she realized that he called “Josuke”. You saw first a presentation of a character, then how she interacted with the MC, then how she is dangerous and in the end, then the MC realizes he need to put his shit together and in the end, the fight. And a few chapters, the Yukkako/Koichi will end with Cinderella, finishing also Yukkako character. This is so much better than showing a new villain of the week that you will forget in two chapters (aka part 3). That arc alone made Koichi grow up which is showed whit his new stand ability.
The same shit goes with Kira. He interacted with the MCs because he needed to, and after losing, he need to hide again. The entire Kira character is curious because he want a quiet life but also wants to kill women due to his fetish, he isn’t a flawless villain like DIO, he was doomed to be discovered soon. And you see how is his life and how he tries to hide his identity. But not only that, Araki shows you two new character, Hayato and Shinobu, they manga show how both changes due to Kira appereance in their life. One is please because it makes her life more exciting and the others doubts because he realizes something is happening. You can see Kira interacting with both and trying to keep his “quite life”, until he breaks himself and kill another woman. Then the whole Bites the Dust arc beging and I wouldn’t talk more because too long

In essence, he is welcoming him to a world that embraces the once prosaic values that are rendered esoteric by contemporary society. This is manifested through his stand Mandom. Whereas Mandom turns back time, Ringo wants society to rewind the clock in order to reconcile itself with the values that were lost in a capitalist and industrializing world. Ringo Roadagain is a beautiful character because out of all the selfish characters within Steel Ball Run, his selfishness is the most pure. He doesn’t seek to better his nation or pursue some other ambition. He simply wants humanity to absolve itself of its decadence, and is willing to die for this philosophy in order to pass it on to others.

I swear they don't understand how clothes work, and not even in like a stylized exaggerated but skilled way, it's just amateurish. Also everybody's unexpressive with caterpillars for eyelashes, looks nothing like the manga. And I can't get over how they mistook the braids on top of Buccellati's head for rows of Oreos, that is literally just more unnecessary work for the animators and looks dumb as hell.

The shading is great. It only has 2 colors (the skin and the shade) while the past parts had at 3 colors (the skin, the shade, and a shine). Basically Part 5 looks like original DBZ shading while the past parts look like DBS shading.

Jojo in general has the villian of the week fórmula, the difference is that sometimes they are part of the Main plot (like the Nijimura Bros., the assasins from Part5, mostly all Friends that were originally foes) but the you have the ones that are obstacles like Dio's sons from part 6
Either way they must be fin battles,like in part 4,5,6 and 7

I don't get how you can hate Part 4. Yes, it was slice of life with punch ghosts, but it was genuinely funny. Kira was a great antagonist and it has some of the best stand designs in the series.

Part 4 villians of the week had a lot more going for them, they were real characters who would sometimes show up again later. They weren't super deep characters, but it was better than part 3 where a lot of the minor villains had nothing going on outside a stand for the gang to beat up.

Araki's refusal to focus on a single character in the group as an anchor point because he didn't want another Jotaro ruined any chance of them becoming interesting personalities, you can't explore every single character in-depth.

Pesci growing a spine and trying to avenge his brother has more fucking emotion in it than anything involving the main gang.

Part 4 is very disjointed. Ya, I know Araki makes up a lot of stuff as he goes, but post Red Hot Chili Peppers, it feels as if Araki is just making up everything by the seat of his pants. Sure some of it is enjoyable, but it really was nothing more than a bunch of shorts strung together by some flying dude in a picture shooting people with arrows and the occasional interlude into Kira's life.

Most of part 4 you are just waiting for Josuke and crew to actually find a lead and start hunting Kira, but they never do. Hell, Kira hardly even knew or gave a damn about Josuke until partway through the final showdown.

When the villains have more personality and motivation than the heroes, you fucked up.

I just finished it earlier today. It took me way longer to read than any other part (maybe I was just burned out of JoJo in general after having read so much of it in a relatively short time frame), but once it was all said and done it was my second favorite. It has the best main antagonist and it's definitely the most weird and crazy of any of the parts.
