The OST was literally 10 tracks. Every relevant plot moment had that piano ost. Da Da Dan. Admittedly it was pretty good the first time with the Rizu kiss but after that it became predictable.

Uruka using romantic cliches, which failed because Nariyuki's low self esteem never allowed him to think it was for him

Fumino's impulsiveness: doing things never thinking them through and at the same time apologizing for them
Mafuyu with the even more indirect approach in denying it and repeating the: we are teacher and student/ at least wait for graduation, so maybe some thought would come to his mind from that

Rizu seems on the best path to actually succeed.

The whole point is that Fumino should have gotten a major bump while she instead got the biggest flop. The other heroines didn't have their arcs in time for the poll bar Sensei. In fact both Asumi's and Rizu's arc ranked higher than Fumino's which would have certainly impacted the poll. Now we can't judge Uruka's arc because it is not here yet but those arcs would have made a factor just as Sensei's did albeit in a lesser way.

Depends on the arc. You can like a girl yet not like her chapters. Fumino can get another chapter or two that nips really love, and that settles that. Asumi and Rizu arcs ranked better, and we'll see how the Uruka arc plays out. The next popularity poll won't be for a while, but the next results will reflect who nips like the most (after Mafuyu) after the respective arcs.

If you think about it, Fumino winning would require quite some chapters of pure plot because you have to make her fall in love, make Rizu understand that, make Rizu cope with that, make Rizu realise that Nariyuki is a better match for Fumino. Now imagine that happening in the span of 5 chapters. How fucking shit is that for writing? Unless you want Fumino to be a backstabber and therefore bypass some of those points but that would make Fumino the most hated character period.

As much as some people like to throw "endgame" around, there's very little to support that in the actual writing. My worry is that instead of stepping up and make good Fumino chapters that would support her being the winner, Tsutsui may make the other girls take a turn for the worse for the sake of making Fumino look better.
