Have you ever had a dream related to anime/manga?
Have you ever had a dream related to anime/manga?
all of them
I once didn't, so I called up Anno and told him to make an anime out of my dream so it would be anime related retroactively.
He asked me who I was and how I got his number. Then he hung up.
So I called Ishidate and then they made Violet Evergarden. But it was all wrong so I burned down their studio for ruining my idea.
Yes, technically everyone reading or watching manga will have a dream about it.
You always have dreams related to anything in your memory system. Most dreams you don't remember because your subconsious scrubs them automatically before waking. Only when a dream is interrupted can you remember it but your brain will automatically try to erase it in short order. You can bypass this by writing it down actively which will screw with the erasing process and if you do it enough your dream recall will improve. Your more likely to have a dream of anime/manga if that is all your doing for weeks at a time because your memories are being filled with them constantly.
If your memories are broken either recall or storage dreams may stop working properly or be stuck dealing with the same material to make dreams over and over again. The biological act of dreaming is related to memory reorganization so if you watched or read an anime/manga unless you forgot entirely about it before sleeping chances are your brain is shuffling it around even if you don't remeber the dream segment related to it. Another problem to contend with is dream memories are inherently unreliable so what you remember may be your brain filling in the broken bits on the fly to present something coherent. (This is why dream can feel like they happened for a long time but if you think about it there are lots of gaps in the dream sequences which is how your brain can simulate days/years in a dream without actually spending the time to do that it can just jump timeframes around)
I dream about my waifu sometimes. Those are always the best dreams
I once had a dream that anime Roll lifted up her skirt to reveal her pussy slit, which glistened like a Strawberry Poptart broken in half, but then I saw her butthole which glistened like a dollop of peanut butter which then trickled down her legs, and I was disgusted and woke up.
Not even a pedophile btw
The only one can remember is that I was playing Frisbee with Haruhi Suzumiya. Pretty sure it was at my old middle school too.
I literally had a dream JoJo related last night in which me and my friends were attacked by a random stand user.
Also Jotaro made some underwater fuckery to show off.
Actually no, I don't think I've ever had an "anime" dream if you could say that.
Are we talking, like, the dream is in 2D and I'm in the world? Or there's anime merchandise?
Because I've had anime merch and brief snippets of anime show up in a dream but it's never been the focus. And I've never had a dream in 2D.
Have any of you lads actually been IN 2D anime in a dream? How did it work?
blessed and very informative post
fantastic descriptions, I imagined what you said and got disgusted too
Yeah, one time I caught the deadly Japanese cold and had anime fever dreams in the hospital. One was really hot and I woke up to nurses laughing at me because I was rubbing my boner in my sleep.
Never ever.
When I was 10 I had an epic sick dream where I was flying around the gymansium launching energy beams in a DBZ free-for-all, Krillin shooting destructo-discs and Goku doing his kamehameha thing, and then one time I do a backflip and suddenly Future Trunks blasts my face off and I wake up
not anime dreams but they tend to have themes/tropes from anime. last night for example, I had a dream I was in a spirit world where people lived for thousands of years. Yes, there was a 10k yo legal loli. No, I didn't get fuck her
Ha! Dreams...
yeah, I finally did after 15 years of anime.
Dreamed of Zaizen Aoi being my gf recently. I never even watched yugioh, How lucky Am I
Weirdly enough, no. As much anime I watch and hentai I jerk off to, my dreams are always related to work, college, or having sex with real women.
I wonder if VR hentai will change this.
yes, i had a dream where i was kino from kino's journey and i ended up in a battle against netero with a bunch of other characters i dont remember. we lost.
weirdly enough in all my years watching anime this the only one i can remember that was distinctly anime related.
Based and sciencepilled.
Many times, I did lucid dreaming a lot at some years back and had a shitload of harem dreams, a lot based on love Hina and to love ru.
I had a dream where I had to develop a Jojo kart racing game before the sun came up.
I dreamed I was a mermaid today. And I had a nice singing voice.
Yes, I used to be a lucid dreamer until college pretty much destroyed that ability due to stress and overworking myself instead of sleeping. I used to remember around 5 dreams a night in detail and some of them definitely were anime-like, or featured anime characters. Sadly, they were mostly just random sequences of events and pretty much exclusively non-lucid. But I did summon a couple of anime characters to my lucid dreams back in high school, mostly to hang out with or to duel with in order to fulfill my chuuni fantasies. Oddly enough, they didn't look out of place in the 3d world, I'd compare it to a really well-made cgi.
I've deliberately tried to visit many fictional places in my dreams, but mostly from books and video games. I might try visiting some 2d world if I ever get back into it.
This is a very good post. That concept when brain is simulating days/years is also called false memories. If you ever stopped for a second inside a dream and looked back at how did you end up in your situation, chances are your brain made something up in order to satisfy your curiosity. The whole process, however, isn't perfect, so if you try really hard to recall it in detail, chances are it will eventually stop making sense. This is one of the ways you can realize you are dreaming from inside the dream.
A couple of months ago I had a dream where I was playing a precure dating sim and I got to an event where I could choose five cures to raise my relationship values with so I chose Yayoi, Yuri, Iona, Hana and I think I chose Buki as well, and for some reason, choosing Hana caused my values to go down instead.
Its all a dream anyway so who cares if some stuff is made up, all of it is made up
Hell past experiences only exist in your memories as well, where does the distinction between real event and dream event begin as far as your memory goes
I had this Jojolion dream where Gappy went missing and Yasuho was looking for him, but she only found a bottle of powder on the ground. It has this label called Gappy Powder and shit was weird.
Well, it's always a good thing to have a better understanding of how your brain works. It's also a useful thing to make the distinction between real and false dream memories if you want to answer the question "How the hell was I dreaming for a week straight?" for example. You can tell by there being big gaps in your memory and also the events rarely make enough sense that it would go unnoticed were you to actually live through them.
As for the real vs. a dream, now that's where things get interesting. As an example, many of your childhood memories are said to come from dreams and in fact did not happen.
The judgement you have at the exact present moment is you. The rest is... ordinary data.
I don't know why but no. Closest thing was sometime when I was in Erwin's or some other garupan room, and the smell was all nice but the girls weren't there and I couldn't see them.
Curiously I dream about buying figurines/manga, or finding them in the weirdest places, almost every week since decades ago.
from other dre/a/m thread:
>be drawfag
>working on personal project (slowly)
>dream about story progression at least 3x a week
>the MC is a self-insert so i'm actually living through the events in first-person
>sometimes it's so real i forget about this world completely
>all of the characters are developed enough to act on their own, story pretty much writes itself now
>have figured out how to re-enter dreams after waking up
>spend more time doing this than actually drawing
imagine an anime that could be described as "Mob Naruto's Bizarre Adventure Ball Z of the End no Hana" with weedlmao as a central theme
I've had several. Two that I can remember are me hanging out with the Love Live Sunshine members at a pool and drinking whiskey and getting wasted in the sun. The other one was me watching the current Symphogear season, Tsubasa and Maria was kissing and making up after a fight and I got real happy they delivered.
>"Mob Naruto's Bizarre Adventure Ball Z of the End no Hana" with weedlmao as a central theme
What the fuck? I'm not sure if I want to imagine that.
it's actually pretty sick brah haha yaaah dude lmao
Does it count if I fall asleep because it was boring shit?
>dreams of your waifu
How do I do this?
I have yet to have a dream with my waifu in it, but I did have one with another girl from the same franchise. Nothing sexual or romantic, but it was probably the comfiest dream I've had in my life. I still don't know how I feel about that
Unironically I fucked Hinata from Naruto, the only sex dream I've ever had.
I wish I knew how to make it happen all the time. I'm sure there's some kind of lucid dreaming technique that would help but for me it just happens occasionally
just sleep thinking of her,it works at times.
Only few that i could remember and one of them is probably the most random dream that i ever have which involves a mass blind date between characters from random, unrelated different series which goes like this
>Older looking Giorno - Yomiko Readman
>Saitama - Maya Natsume
>Kekkai Sensen's Klaus - Aika from Agent Aika
>Emiya - Alicia Florence
etc.
Once you are lucid, it should be pretty easy and there are countless ways to do it, but learning lucid dreaming itself is a bit of a time investment. If anyone itt is interested, I believe dreamviews.com has a lot of useful resources.
It's as easy as closing your eyes and reopening them to change reality.
This is called dream seeding
Strangely they happen only on the days I read light novels, I got inspiration for a story of mine a few times too.
Yeah. Many. In special, i had one related to a manga that doesn't exist, but i had to double check it after having the dream BECAUSE it looked so real. Mandela effect, basically.
I dreamt about an anime where a trio of female oni's travelled through Japan and fought other Youkai/got into funny anthics/had deep discussions about human and oni nature. The MC was a toned oni with short hair and the other two girls were a kuudere and a oni with a cute dress, respectively.
Can't remember the rest of it, but i know the dream ended in the middle of a fight against a giant boar that had a monocle and a british accent,
