It's more that the fat has all been cut away. The pace has always been quick. The progression is basically:
Lose To Basic Demon -> Kill demon with bad powers -> Kill Demons related to MJ -> Kill failed Lower Moon -> Almost Kill Current Lower Moon -> Kill Lower Moon on steroids in a group -> Kill Upper Moon in a group -> Kill Upper Moon in a group with less help -> Kill Upper Moon and showing up a pillar -> (Kill MJ in a group?)
I cut out the training arcs, but It's clear that there's a planned progression that the plot is following. YuYu Hakusho had well done arcs up until the end where the pace quickened and everything was wrapped up for no apparent reason.

Please note, none of this is a comment on anything about the quality, just the relative pacing of the plots of the two Manga.

I just think there's a significant lack of "filler" or just basically anything else going on. Kimetsu is one of the few series where I find myself asking for filler because it feels like it's ending too soon.

I am rereading the manga and I realized how strong Nezuko was for resisting the wind pillar's blood. Since his is the special type. They never revealed that til recently in the manga.

If Tanjuro was still alive it would have been awesome to find out he managed to injure whoever did it (Muzan or Kokushibou) and that little blood spilled was enough to turn Nezuko.

In hindsight, all other pillars probably knew, that's why it was that good of an argument.

Honestly I really love how the demons all are given background stories. Tanjiro never falters or gets cold feet over fighting them, only sympathizing with them as they fade away. You do feel pity for the victims. The demon is a victim too. Only micheal jackson is really evil, and some of the demons that get really into it with no remorse. Those ones Tanjiro has no pity for. However some of these people were turned against their will or because they were weak and desperate for anything to help them.

Those people would not be devouring dudes and doing evil shit if MJ never turned them into a demon. He changed their nature and forced them to be evil to some degree just to survive. Now if the demon is having regrets about that and is suffering with this new existence, then they still have some humanity left in them. There is still a human deep down in that monster somewhere- that human is another victim! Tanjiro gets this but you don't, apparently.

Now obviously we have seen it is possible to be a "moral" demon like nezuko who just sleeps it off or the vampires who can get by on some blood, which they obtain without killing. But these are exceptions, and only capable by extreme willpower or intelligence.

For most of the humans who become demons, their only real crime is being weak willed, flawed humans. That's something most of us are guilty of in some way. Tanjiro gets this. You don't.

Humans are food for demons and it seems many of the demons didn't want to become demons. The demons are basically being killed for doing stuff that normal animals do. I don't get why Tanjiro kills them but not Nezuko. Maybe this is like some kind of vegan propaganda; "meat eaters=bad". Except they don't eat the demons (they probably couldn't if they wanted to), instead they just kill them. So, if killing humans is bad, then Nezuko isn't bad yet; which is why Tanjiro doesn't kill her. So that makes the demon slayers that want to kill her the bad ones. They probably killed other good demons in the past too. Tanjiro should kill them.
