When it actually comes down to evaluating something it hardly matters at all. Originality is only imporant when one thinks it's lacking, but forget about it entirely if it's present, causing a disconnect that often confuses people.

What? No, not at all, it's still hilarious. The issue is that it's way too wordy for a manga and that it skips some great scenes from the novel, but it's still great.
