I'd argue it is the opposite. Demon Slayer is super overrated because episode 19 was so good. The rest of the series has been pretty generic shounen stuff.

People putting all the emphasis on that one out of context scene because "pretty animation" are casual cucks, but episode 19 really is a masterpiece in directing and storytelling.

From the way they establish through the other character's battles the idea that a person's life flashes before their eyes before they die because they're desperately searching through their past experiences to find a way to save themselves, to the antagonist's explanation of the "role" of each family member (the parents protect their children, and the siblings protect each other) and the way that the veteran Demon Slayers interrupt the previous battles to set false expectations for MC's fight- nothing in the episode happens for no reason. The whole thing is masterfully crafted to set the perfect stage for the climactic scene.

It's the best sequence of the year. The music, sound design and animation were all perfect (except for that one bit where Tanjiro's dialogue was just a bit too fast). You can argue that the story isn't super complex all you want but this is still the best fight scene of the past few years. I am upset that it got as popular as it is though since normalfags are going to start picking the show up and faggots here will dismiss it out of popularity because they're contrarian plebs.

Also the part where bro demon cuts off sis demon's head and she lives foreshadows how bro demon survives the end of the ep.
