They were too focused on other characters and redoing moments on the show instead of focusing on the writing for Hiro and 02 or how their relationship develops. They even fuck up the scene where 02 reacts to Ichigo’s “monster” statement. They also remove the scenes where 02 and Hiro are nearly naked, separated from the crew, and fooling around with each other. What’s worth noting is that 02 hardly has any of her wild traits and Hiro hardly has any of his weird traits.

For example, if I have Hiro try to give 02 a gift. He doesn’t give her a patch of flowers, he gives her a dead bird. 02 thinks about how enduring her gift is and she eats it whole.

For them, Hiro grabs a patch of flowers, trips, then lands on her boobs. He acts like a fucking pansy for while but 02 hardly reacts to it nor does she do anything to him like a fucking sexual tease.

Is it just me or is this shit 10 times better than the show ever was ? It cut so much of the filler fat shit out and rearranged so many things into better order. Hopefully they can keep it up until the end. Introducing the klaxo princess sooner and elaborating on APE actually makes this flow so much better.

well yeah, there was basically no way that the manga was going to be worse than the anime since it wasn't going to have a deadline and also just because manga in general takes less time to put out than anime. also, i mean, yabuki.

i figured it was but i didn't think it would be this drastic of a change seeing as it was still following the overall story. That being sad we haven't hit the real nose dive of the series that is the last few episodes yet.

There are three reasons why people is following this:
>alternative plotline and (potentially) ending
>waiting for Yabuki to wrap up and go back to TLR
>mitsukoko sex scene drawn by Yabuki

realistically the main reason, or at least one of the main reasons, that the show was bad was because it just didn't build upon things or flesh things out enough. like the whole thing with the aliens was just shoved in at the end and was absolutely ridiculous. i have no doubts that everything about the second half will be done better.

Yet they cut out the things that make the actually important couple good and fuck up its execution with dumb friendship shit and the most important details of the moments.

Do I have to mention Kokoro x Mitsuru, the Nines, and Zorome’s even more rushed development? The only things getting true expansions are Papa, 001, and Virm. They’ll pull the picture book twist (which is obviously as fuck because Papa and 001 have tons of medieval inspired stuff, a theme of contrast between humanity and monster, and have colors that correlate with the main couple of the picture book), and finally, they do an ending similar to the anime’s ending except for a few differences.

If you are somehow confused with the outcome: the purple Virm = obviously evil, purple witch. White and gold shit is humanity while Blue and black is klaxosapien.

No, one scene on their asses was too much screen time. Futoshi and Zorome were a pair that’s far more watchable than the tsundere ship. Unlike Goro and Hiro, they acted like brothers to each other, not too bitchy yet still hang out or joke about each other without a heavy imbalance of dedication, having them be on the same page for the most part.

Besides, we already had too many shitty ships in this show that overshadowed the other kinds of relationships.

The chapter threads consistently reached 90-100 posters for a few months, but then the Mitsukoko chapters came and the user count began to drop significantly. Fuck Mitsukoko

I can make a better romance between a kaiju Franxx with a creepy autist. The liar princess and the blind prince did a better romance than Mitsukohoe with a sweet little boy and a fucking wolf.

Mitsuru and Kokohooker would be better off as a background couple with no fucking importance in the story. I refer have Ichigo do the nine shit instead of them because her relationship with Nine Alpha can at least have a purpose somewhere in the story (as I’m expecting Goro’s tragic death). Kokoro and Mitsuru have fucking nothing to progress with the Nines besides showing off how ‘caring’ they are or how ‘intelligent’ they are, when they lack both qualities.

I expect the same shit except 001 is alive to do the klaxosaur save-the-planet shit while Papa is around (without his mask and pope outfit) to help humanity regrow systematically, keeping them away from doing the Virm’s ways. They basically fit into the roles that Hachi and Nana obviously can’t logically do. Maybe more parasites die or some couples are changed, but it’s hardly relevant. Oh, and Papa and 001 turn out to be the tragic couple from the picture book, so they’re more rightful to alter the thing (unlike the fucking parasites).

Stop blaming mitsukoko, that’s like saying the other characters are too weak to carry the series. Truth is Hiro2’s story in the manga is worse than the show. At 50 chapters and still no real progress between the two of them, Hiro got horns but so what? It’s not the result of him getting closer to 02 but a byproduct of riding with her.
When the last diehard fan stayed for the shipping and it kept on dragging like this, what with the story’s pace and chapter release delays, people will just move on.
Haven’t seen a Hiro2 doujin since last year. Yeah there’s the occasional fanart but it has dwindled too soon. What’s going to keep the interest alive? The hope the manga would change hir02’s ending? By the time this manga concludes if it doesn’t get canceled first, no one would probably care whether Hiro or zero two live or die.

Nothing about it was fine. The only good romance was 02 and Hiro but the ending completely fucked with their characters, dreams, and their goddamn themes. Note, this couple did way more shit than the parasites. Plus, they had much more set ups for a happy outcome. The parasites, except the naturally born Zorome, were given tons of death flags that could’ve made the narrative better with sadness, as their lives lasted so unfairly short. Zorome could be the person that reintroduces Hiro and 02 back to earth, misleading us into thinking the old gang was still here when they died a long time ago (in parasite time).

At least with the predicted new outcome, an actually loving, tragic couples gets a happy ending without butt fucking the humanity theme with garbage human reincarnations.

Honestly, they’re probably going to have a better love relationship with Papa and 001 with Virm being the witch in their story, using Papa as a literal human shield against 001 as he believes that they are his God (explaining his pope outfit).

If you think, “that’ll never happen.” Star vs. did the same bullshit with Eclipsa and Glober, making them the only good couple in the show. Plus, the shit I mention was a scraped plot line of the anime. They didn’t admit it but I saw the used foreshadowed for the twist:
- First, it was the weird eo to ‘darling’ moment in episode 13 (with the scratched out ‘darling’ in the picture book).
-Second, Papa’s background as displayed in his medieval inspired society, clothing, and even his speech at the first episode/chapter (it was as if a King performed it).
-Finally, 001 had a lot of obvious ties to the princess of the picture book, tons of medieval royalty shit from her throne, crown, even royal ‘we’ and ‘us’ pronouns, she also somehow knew about an earth language during her supposed first encounter with humanity.

The set up was obviously scrapped because everything about Papa’s and 001’s characters were dropped to a garbage can in episode 20/21, . Papa was out of character as he and Virm acted completely differently, bantering with each other from episode 1 to episode 19 (with the Vice head being the obvious evil and the true person in charge). 001’s disappearance hardly made any sense, Hiro and her had experienced the same wild bullshit on their bodies but Hiro turned out 100% fine after the hiro x 02 connection. 001’s own backstory wasn’t even included in episode 21.

Bitch, I literally described a way better bittersweet ending that kept the plot consistent without fucking up the most important themes in the show. Keep in mind that the logic in my rewritten outcome made sense with how the show was setting up this shit.

Reincarnation was a shitty plot device, having nothing to do with the story until the very end to piss on the humanity theme and the selfless, caring monsters. Squad 13 had to die so their early death set up couldn’t be fucked into the oblivion for no goddamn reason except shit writing. 02 and Hiro had tons of pain and suffering, lots of body issues, near death experiences, sacrifices. But they always carried the dream of changing their fates but not with retarded reincarnation!

The one thing I liked about Papa's backstory is that they didn't make him and 001 obvious analogues to Hiro and 002 or to the book.

I didn’t say that Papa was an analogue to anyone. What I said was that he was that human prince from centuries ago. If you wondered how did he survive for so long, Virm just reused 001’s ‘wings’ to give him his immortality. Because of this method of immortality, Papa still had functional sex organs for piloting Franxxs and the giant klaxosaur spear (the metaphor for his dick).

This explains how Virm is originally able to control klaxosapien-based technology like the klaxosaur spear until the writers completely ignore their own established rules for the klaxosaurs.

Besides, Papa and 001 are still completely different from Hiro and 02. Quite frankly, a prince in medieval times is insanely comparable to someone like 001, because human kingdoms regularly fight each other for power on a regular basis. I can’t imagine the mental toll that has on a person like him but he’ll likely have similar thoughts and feelings as 001 when it comes to war. For him, it’ll be normal for his siblings to die from battles. Because of him, 001 will understand how to cope with similar struggles when the Virm eventually attacks earth again and she somewhat knows how to deal with human politics. Also, there is a reason why the Franxx, buildings, and plantations are heavily plant themed. Do you remember when the beast princess first saw her prince? He is around the gardening area of the kingdom, praying at the sky. What if he gardens to cope with his struggles, making it a hobby for him when he becomes Papa.
