What makes me consider him one of my favorite characters is his design, and his purpose in the story specifically.

He is THE Revolutionary. The man brave enough to not merely to oppose the WG, but to actively resist it. If what people theorize about the Will of D is correct, then he is the true embodiment of its purpose. His movement is the most hindering and effective at crippling the WG, so much so that he has the world's highest bounty. It's a rather Romantic idea --actively combating the ruling power to signifigantly alter it-- and he is working closely with a bunch of literal faggots, but in the context of the story, its a role that certainly need be filled. All of the heinous shit the WG does, and has done (think void century, their biggest cover-up) must certainly be opposed by someone more dedicated and focused than the largely unorgainized fleets of Pirates. It is true however that we don't actually know much at all about him.

I really want to learn of his backstory, Oda best give us a fuckin ASL-like arc for that shit, since the Revolutionaries are clearly brewing up a storm in the world, and to me, Oda has been doing this in much the same way he did with Ace and the Marineford war, by introducing it early on, and slowly building it up at the end of each arc when there is some down time. Considering the fact that he is declaring war on the WG at the same time a big war is being mentioned throughout the story, I think its fair to say that he and his guys will play a big part in whatever and whenever that is.

Does anyone feel the war currently seems stacked in the rebellion's favor? Kyoushiro and the other supernovas are almost guaranteed to switch side. Besides Kaido and the 3 commanders, the rest of Kaido's force just seems like a huge joke, but the numbers is just stacked against Kaido when the rebellions has:

It has the highest emotional impact. Robin's flashback, shooting the flag, Robin's cry, Chopper's sacrifice, the final Jet Gataling, Merry's return, all of the battle resolutions, and plenty more - the arc is just chock full of scenes that rile people up emotionally, and that's not something you can organize on a whim, it requires quality buildup and payoff. Apart from that prime quality it's also keeps up great pace, has fun turnarounds, good selection of villains with entertaining personalities and powers. It's just the whole package, every single part of it works to its full potential.

Not sure if I would call it the best but it checked all the boxes of having great drama and action, character moments, lore and world building, and pretty cool fights. It gets dragged down by the Luffy vs Lucci fight which should not have been nearly as long as it was but it was great otherwise.

Well, of course it did. Zoro was trying to learn to cut steel throughout the whole fight, just like he was trying to master flying slashes throughout Skypiea. And then you get, "oh, yeah, I can do this thing *ends the fight* (lol not an asspull 'cause I said I'm now stronger)". I also didn't like how 300 chapters after introducing Chopper we learn about some drawbacks of multiple rumble balls usage. Oda really overdid it with asspulls in this arc, though I get why "shonencrowd" liked it and recognize some aspects of OP are just not for me. I believe EL really lacked proper Usopp fight (though there is thematic argument why he shouldn't get one), theoretically Nami plays this weirder/smarter fighter card, but her fight was just pure fanservice.

I think it was stupid funny, but really more stupid than funny. Though I remember actually "feeling" her injuries. I mean, when Zoro's losing his 12th liter of blood or Usopp gets a 4 tons of rapid moving mass to the head, how could I possibly relate to that? But this spikes in the foot were really "ouch" moment. Just like Foxy with the spike in his teeth.

Neither Perona or Moria are getting killed by the BB pirates. Moria will be captured/tortured, they only wanted his ability to make zombie fodder, and none of the 10 Titanic Captains wanted to waste their fruit on it. Perona will rescue him and they will escape to Wano, where they will join the rebellion. Kaido will end up killing Moria by the end, and Perona will permanently joining the SHs.
