No, because it devolved very quickly after the first chapters into generic ichaicha-rabukome. I don't have anything against developing characters and plot past the initial premise, but in this series the shift from hard bullying into soft teasing and a being center of attention of a whole group of girls was so quick and effortless that I doubt even the readers who aren't familiar with original doujin liked.
