Guys, how do you feel about the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Bebop?
I just found out about it today. While I really do enjoy John Cho's work, I just don't think a live-action series is necessary.
I just don't understand why someone thought this was a good idea. There's a reason why the original is such a classic.
Maybe the new show won't be so bad. The main cast looks cool, but it'll always be mediocre in comparison to the original.

Fuck that. It was an animated series. It worked as an animated series. I can't imagine some Hollywood / Netflix live action show capturing what the anime did. The music. The animation. It all went together. Reusing the music doesn't even work. Are they going to remake it shot for shot? What's the point? Are they going to make new music? Then it's not Cowboy Bebop.
