Ironically, being edgy and grimdark was one of the good points of Berserk and why people liked it. The problem is that Miura just stopped giving a shit and realized that he was never going to find a good way for Guts to defeat Griffith, so he just made useless content. The art is also getting digital now. On top of that, his fighting choreography is atrocious without a real sense of weight that originates from directionless paneling, which he has always been bad at. I mean just look at this page from this chapter, you can barely tell what's going on this page. He should learn from real masters like Togashi or Toriyama how to draw well choreographed fights.

The problem with that page is that he went out of his way and just smacked 6 panels of close-up shots on a single panels and called it a day. And only after that scene, he switched back to draw these two guys from far back which then destroys the flow of that fight.

The grimdark period was the best period though. Moth children arc was awesome with children being turned into moths villagers getting slaughtered and Guts just getting his ass beat but still winning was the best. No doubt people want more of that

user, the ending will be related to casca's and gut's child, who is tied to griffith, but is also loved and capable of love, being a failure point in the idea of evil which will cause everything to crumble and the godhands to become corporeal and mortal.

The ending will take 5 chapters or less. Guts and Skull Knight confront Griffith, they get easily defeated but their fight caues a rip in reality, the moonchild appears to save guts from the vortex of soul, love infects the idea of evil, then casca kills griffith, the end.

In fact we could be less than 10 chapters from the end.

Togashi basically invented the classic fight choreography, there is no denying the talent.

She is being handled as expected: they went out on a journey to heal that may not be in anyone's best interest and they healed her and it may end up being not in her best interest. Everybody reacts to her in a manner that makes sense: they never saw the GA Casca, brave commander and powerful warrior. So it's a reaction chapter to Casca's true personality. If anything it's an interesting take at how looks are a part of an equation in regards to how you are perceived and are not everything (i mean it's an extreme example, considering that she was a literal retard, but still).
The interesting part will come from facing the trauma head on, right now I have no idea where the story will go in that regard. I mean probably falconi'a attack or moonchild will take casca with him but what is Miura's answer to this kind of trauma situation? Will he ignore it and separate guts and casca and next time they meet guts is barely a human and casca learned to face him so no happy end? Eternal separation and revenge/chilling with witches?
In regards to the tone of the story overall I like it. It's definitely not as powerful as during the eclipse, probably it won't ever be even after falconia's sacrifice simply because it's not condensed enough, but it's peak comfy and i love re-reading it. Miura chose not to stick to the initial tone but rather take manga where it felt natural to him and I really appreciate it. I don't believe he could have done eclipse 2.0 in a way that felt natural.
the point of the page was to show that she still has a "warrior mode" and for others to react to it afterwards

The series is about struggling against impossible odds, but now the tensions have been significantly lowered with Guts and his party getting shounen power ups.
