Why has mecha gone to shit?
Why has mecha gone to shit?
You again, well if your using franxx as another excuse please don't, sunrise beyond will bring the genre back to life.
The one you posted was fucking garbage.
Isn't it supposed to be "Mecha is the biggest pleb filter"?
Franxx was based 2D mecha full of sakuga saving mecha from SEAmonkey CGshit
monster of the week stop being a thing
toys were replaced by BDs and figurines as the thing markets are focused on
Eva happened moving mech series away from the battlefield and alien fighting and into teenage angst
Macross introduced idols into it
Dragon Ball happened and told the world you don't need a mech to be super-powered
Miyazaki happened that kinda moved anime away from sci-fi into a more romanticized and naturalistic zeitgeist (not to mention shitting on tech designed for war)
isekai replaced it as shameless power fantasy
Gridman and FranXX were both good
Cgi mechs
>Dragon Ball happened
Plenty of good mecha after DB, and even DB itself constantly has mecha opponents
like eva it's a gradual thing
it just gave it a steady stream of competition
All the cool creators are dead or retired.
Trigger, they have to go bankrupt
>monster of the week stop being a thing
I'd rather the entire industry crash than not have monsters of the week again.
this
Reminder to everyone ITT, this guy has constantly posted on /m/ complaining about "mecha being shit nowadays" while thinking fucking Dangaioh is good and demonstrating his lack of knowledge.
It's a shitty bait thread
The Origin manga is the peak of mecha anyway.
