GX and Arc-V don't have the same kind of structures. The marketing trio concept doesn't matter.

I don't know if that applies. If VRAINS was taking mythology as straightforward as it should have, Playmaker would have lost to Go, Playmaker would have to been trying to save Aoi and not Jin in windy's world, and Soulburner probably would have been a villain to some capacity.

I'd say this is different because it's straight up called out in the show who Revolver is naming Pandor after. Other references aren't obvious so they don't have to focus on it at all.

Soulburner seems like he's based off one of the four heavenly kings like Bohman, Haru, and Jin are. Many anime turn them into villains but it's kind of odd to only do 3 out of 4. Of course in the myths VRAINS are based off of, they saved the god Yusaku takes inspiration from.
It doesn't outright name them, but anyone who knows Japanese myths even on a very basic level should know that Go is modeled after Takemikazuchi, and that Playmaker is modeled after Takeminakata. And there's no legend as far as I cant tell that makes Takeminakata outright beat Takemikazuchi.

Not like it matters, it hardly uses most of the myths to its advantage. It's just loosely based around it and tries to put cryptic references to it.

If it doesn't name them then it doesn't matter. There's been other greek references too like Atlas and Link Vrains levels named after the layers of hell or something. I certainly don't think those details will be anything but fluff.

Well sort of. It doesn't matter in the sense that they don't use them as probably well as they should. But it still constructed many characters around mythological figures. Including most of the main ones. If it wasn't having production problems and wasn't forced into a commercial shonen approach, it could have used those characteristics to the better.

All kinds of old videogames and Duel Links. I don't even know how to Link Summon properly so I don't care about the current meta or anything. Cards aren't regularly sold in my country because it's just not popular here, sadly.
