I've seen them use stickers, green tape, and notes to show they've opened the package. If it doesn't have any of those I would guess your delivery person wanted to see if anything was worth stealing. How could you tell it was opened? Is it possible the place you ordered it from re-used the box and that's why it looked opened?

The package was one of those fold-over book mailers. The flap had been attached to the box with glue, but the flap was ripped open, so the contents could easily fall out if held upside down.
The forwarder was Jpn-Depot if it helps. I know they often reuse boxes, but the packages they sent to me in book mailers before were glued and duct-taped shut. Not sure if they just packaged this one shoddily.
The other two times the box or bubble mailer had been cut open and the books taken out of their plastic sleeves. One of the times the books were soaked in water and ruined.
I hope there's just an innocent explanation for all of this.

The time the books arrived wet was especially weird. The box itself was dry, but several books were outside of their sleeves and one had been placed inside of its sleeve soaking wet. It looked like someone had opened the box, thrown the contents on a wet floor, and then put them back inside. It had been raining a lot in my area at the time so I suspected the local post office had done it for some reason.
I'll probably take a break from importing doujinshi after I figure out what to do with the books I have still sitting at that forwarder's warehouse.

I finally got around to putting this together. Sadly the plastic sheet used to prevent paint transfer between the hair and back got caught where the head wedges into the body. The head isn't castoffable so now I can't cleanly remove the sheet. I used tweezers to pull the scraps I could but that just made it a real fucking big pain in the ass. I'll just have to live knowing that the last jackass in the assembly line put her together wrong.

None of the photos depict her head coming off so I'm not gonna risk applying enough pressure to break her apart.

Professional 3d printers run in the tens of thousands of dollars and one printer will likely not be used for all the parts. Instead, they will likely optimize by having each printer run continuously making the same part repeatedly which could mean eight or ten printers. Having backups would also help prevent delays in production.

Of course he is, he stopped wanted to progress the characters and plot and moved to making up dumbshit systems to place in them to replace those. And with how they were starting to part off the games with DLC more and more, I'm kind of glad it's in the state it is. I still liked the girls and so on, but they all just got reduced even further into their one trope and that's it. Katsuragi, mainly, easily became the most insufferable character as time went on due to how little they cared for anything.

Most games that have lasted as long as Kancolle will put some stuff in for new players to catch up at least a little bit, but Kancolle is just a massive uphill climb. Sure they added an easy mode, but the rewards are usually almost nothing, so there's nothing to help a new player get strong enough to challenge the difficulties that actually give out rewards
2. Adding nothing to the game but complexity and new girls. Kancolle is still stuck with static jpegs and limited animations for battles. Adding more gimmicks onto an already bloated combat system and only having events 3-4 times a year just isn't enough in 2019.
3. Letting the anime be shit. They keep dropping the ball on the anime, trying to force too much drama in, when it's obviously not their strong suit. Plus, what's the point in an anime advertising a game that's a real hard sell, and characters that have no merchandise?
4. Not capitalizing on their popular characters quick enough. When a new girl somehow does get popular, they end up waiting way too long to start putting out merch for her. Despite the fact that they're not doing anything, they still don't have time to capitalize on the few successes the do get.
