He doesn't need to be redeemed. But I'd aporeciate outting focus back on his intelligence and competitiveness rather than his niceness and heroism.

His act of being the greatest hero is passing on All for One super early to someone who will actually save the world or some shit idk

problem started with him being the main character and being given the most basic and boring quirk. so limiting that the author literally had to give him multiple to make it interesting again (that and so he can match the new op bad guy power)

honestly fuck deku, he's uninteresting and lame and a wuss. He has the most overpowered power yet he cries all the time of having to push forwards. Like as though none of his other classmates are trying too. He always underdogs everything despite his power like, fuck off lad. He sucks and the show would be better without him. Have the show return to his analytical strengths and show that despite having a simple quirk he can overcome most situations with careful planning and intuition. Even with his new quirks he can still slowly use his knowledge of past fights to help grow his current skills. Also make him become a madman again.

Is he supposed to be inspired by Peter Parker?

No, Peter Parker is a genius who invents and makes all his own gadgets. Deku can't even score into the top 3 in his own class and needs an autistic chick to make his shit.

The main problem is, he doesn't have to be strong, physically and mentally. Usually you kill the mentor character so he passes the torch to MC but All Might is still there. He can't fight but he's still a mentor so Deku doesn't have to improve mentally. Other pro heroes exists to fight the big villains so he doesn't have to improve physically. There's no real danger in the story. You can solve this by making the story more personal so he has to stand up for himself instead of the "Hero fights the villain to save the world" thing.

This. Also Peter Parker is actually outgoing, funny and cocky, sometimes even to the point of arrogance in some timelines. Deku is just a regular moralfag.

He'll be redeemed as a character if he quits being a crybaby.

Just make him fight a quirkless villain that defeats him with tactics.
