>it's dead Jim
Lol
I like how Ata seems equal parts dangerous and incompetent.
Its pretty clear he's mentally a fucking child like Obito was
Good chapter with some nice imagery and info. At this point, I'd like to see the series pull though and continue.
Are you fucking dumb? Obito was a solid tactician surrounded by incompetent and childish subordinates like Pain, who could have brought Naruto back easily but instead chose to provoke him and died as a result. Obito's own strategies outwitted Madara several times and even Zetsu/Kaguya at the end. Ata seems nothing like him.
The box lore sounds super underwritten.
The last few chapters have been decent.
Dunno whether it's enough to save the ranking though.
Even if it tanks in the rankings, it will still survive for a while, since it's Kishimoto.
I really don't like Daruma, he drags the manga down for me. I hope he will die a heroic death soon, but I guess hachi's dad was quicker.
So any reason why the main bad is casually trying to destroy the galaxy? That is a pretty vital info, they've glossed over.
typical "this version sucks, gonna destroy then remake it better" fare.
Maybe he is trying to remake is? isn't that what the "pandora's box" in greek mythology does? or atleast there is some kind of similarity.
Opening pandora's box in greek myth released a great evil into the world,it is just a means for stagnating the universe is a state of misery without letting it be reborn or transformed.
Kishi mentioned the number Eight will play an important role. Hachi's role as the 8th samurai could help it. Eight is commonly seen as infinity and rebirth as in that Hachimaru gained "infinite" life by committing seppuku in the 1st chapter, his rebirth. So maybe, the universe has to be destroyed to undergo a transformation that will make it attain its true peaceful state. meaning the universe has to commit it's own "seppuku" and mimic the samurai transformation in a thematic way.
Hachi really might be the key to "transcend" the universe into it's true form.
This chapter seems decent, but I couldn't really become invested in those characters.
We already have planet busting-tier powerlevel in around 15 chapters but its not fun or have a whoa level.
Eden's Zero seems better, but maybe that's just my dick thinking.
wake me up when nanashi comes back
according to Ata their group just want to pull a Thanos an erase all existence and then start over by creating a new universe.
This shit is basically Infodump:The Manga.
Yeah, and that's my problem with Daruma. He's the exposition cat, barely an actual character.
Yeah I couldn't get a clear-cut summary of why the infodump was bothering me, but it indeed Daruma. The other characters I at least range within mildly interesting, but Daruma's exposition really deters his character and the series itself.
this manga is pretty weird,
The MC getting along with the main girl this early in the manga feels very rushed, either that or Kishi just wants to get the shipping shit out of the way.
if Cyber Samurai live for centuries does this mean the princesses share this longevity as well?
I mean why not?
imagine Kishi doing a flashforward to Boruto in chapter 15 of the Naruto manga.
I have really no idea where this manga is going
Feels like a red herring setup to me.
>I like how Ata seems equal parts dangerous and incompetent.
How the hell is Ata incompetent?
how so?
will Daruma get his vision wrong?
TOC is just a myth. Watch the first 2 volumes sell 190,000 in a couple weeks
Yeah, I think he is misinterpreting what he saw or something. I have nothing to base this on of course. I'm no writer, but I think usually you don't want to give the ending away in the beginning of the story, unless the ending is different than you first assumed it to be and there's a twist to it.
Cucks the tranny immediately after showing his feelings,Based Kishi read bumblr forums.
this is the twist he is going for
not only that, but Ann's only role is support and cooking meals.
Based Kishi sending women back to the kitchen.
Kishi is a fucking psycho. He's writting this manga like he wants to end it already. Just write a fun adventure and let it flow. He's already setting up endgame scenarios. I blame the recent gen of shonen. Look at MHA they already said what the goal of the manga is and what will happen. Fuck that.
cant write the story if the manga getting axed
Daruma = Kishi
this pretty much,
I expected a fun space adventure with samurai and instead we get Infinity War with galaxy buster enemies.
Kishi really has to exchange some notes with Mashima.
Hinata is the typical lovely housewife that awaits for Naruto after work to offer herself and take care of the 2 children.
Sakura is a suffering single mother with a child that haven't seen her father for 12 years, yet bare all the parental responsibilities.
Fuck what everyone says, this man writes women the most realistic way possible.
He seems to be focusing more on the story telling than "fun",which explains why S8 has the best writing and themes in WSJ so far.
>Kishi really has to exchange some notes with Mashima.
Why would anyone exchange notes with a shitty writer like Hiro?
to make it fun?
Then why not a good writer?
Kishi isn't a good writer
Ok?
I always wondered why Obito didn't capture Naruto during the aftermath of the pain arc.
Better than literal shit and objectively false,he has the best writing in jump. Here is a small thematic analysis on the series for you.
A box has 8 corners!!!!
ninja way = samurai way?
did Niggastream made this up or is this the real translation?
kishi is a great world builder but he is so garbage at writing characters. some of his plot development too...
I'd rather get good world building and character development than themes
You have bad reading comprehension dude, he's asking why Kishi wouldn't exchange notes with a good writer instead of the FT guy.
>I'd rather get good world building
>kishi is a great world builder
Imagine Boruto having a flashforward to where everything went already to shit, Naruto is dead and Boruto is facing his destined rival on the first few pages of chapter 1. Imagine having Midoriya telling you in the first chapter that this is the story how he became the greatest of all superheroes.
Having a vision of Hachimaru and what he could become isn't that bad.
It's the literal opposite.
Ranking means shit as long as it sells
The first 2 volumes will probably sell on name alone too though
Really?how many corners does a sphere have?
Ann is going to look like Hinata as an adult.
Both of you need to explain, otherwise you are just speaking buzzwords.
The galaxytrotting is still up ahead. Story so far was to get the basics established and Hachi off the planet. I'm pretty curious to see how the next stage is going to look, provided that the manga doesn't get ended prematurely.
He obviously have some sort of bias to that look.
This 15 chapters really felt like the tutorial of a console JRPG. A pretty long one but a tutorial nonetheless.
Great World Building:
great use of japanese mythos and buddhist themes in the middle,
initial set up of the villages was dope,
akatsuki reveal
Bad Characters:
Sakura,
Orochimaru,
Sasuke's middle arc,
and Naruto's ending arc
Plot Failures:
Kaguya,
Too many repeated arcs and themes,
Improper use of foils
My point is that the 7 keys shit and 8 being important is so heavily foreshadowed that Kishi doesn't need to say shit.
Do not turn this into a Naruto discussion again
My point is that the 7 keys shit and 8 being important is so heavily foreshadowed that Kishi doesn't need to say shit.
what does he say about it in this chapt then?
From the 15 chapters, I got the feeling that Kishimoto put a lot more thought into the lore and background that he did when he first started Naruto, so that he doesn't need to make up as much shit on the fly as they go along, though he has a bit of a rough time finding the right balance between exposition and ongoing story yet. While the infodump was interesting, I kinda expected this sort of stuff to get disclosed a bit further down the line. Felt a bit like the editor telling Kishimoto to drop some juicy info, to draw readers in. Lots of Fantasy literature has a pretty slow start until the hero finally departs on a journey with his party (e.g. LotR, WoT, etc) and only then stuff really gets going. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, it seems Kishimoto tried something similar, but that puts himself up for an early axe if things go wrong.
What is this picture? I don’t understand it at all, ls like that meme of the pic that nobody can’t get what it is.
???
Stop smoking so much crack user. A samurai, holding a sword behind his back, with a black haired woman by his side.
>Kishi just wants to get the shipping shit out of the way.
Considering how Naruto went, that's a good thing.
>Sakura
can't argue with that one
>Orochimaru
I found his character regression to be interesting as the story progress, starts off as a huge presence in chunin exams arc and ultimately to be killed as a fucking nobody by Sasuke who is on the pursuit of another goal.
>Sasuke
Kinda yeah
>Naruto's ending arc
was pretty interesting to see how he underwent a static character arc in the war after he overcame his depression in kyuubi training.
>Kaguya
I feel like we all are missing something here, obviously he did it for some reason. It contradicts the human tool dynamic set up in zabuza arc, maybe that was the point although there must be a lot more to it.
>repeated arcs
I don't see anything to be repeated, can you elaborate?
>repeated themes
True, but I think it's because he wants to "hammer home" the themes, this is meant for middleschoolers.
>Improper use of foils
I don't get your point here either.
Yeah,it's a shame.
Let's predict who is fake confessing this time!
It was translated as "doctorine" in the Jaimin version.
I really hope he wont create another abomination like Sakura.
I unironically think he had learnt his mistake with that one
I mean the way he talks about Sakura makes it pretty obvious on his stance on the character. He hates her as much as we do.
Would it really? He's fucking Kishimoto. Naruto might have been a critical failure but it was a commercial success. He doesn't need to prove himself to the magazine like other novice mangaka. I feel like he could've pulled a Togashi and go at his own pace riding on trust alone. Heck they give free reigns to people like Fire Punch guy. In the latest interview he said his editor basically told him to just do fucking whatever he wants with Chainsawman.
I think Kishi is phoning it in, on his own. He had a good idea... of a style; the cyber samurai shit. made for a good concept art and it was a good elevator pitch, but now that he's discussing he lore, it's shit. Like it's actual shit. You can do a lot more with such a setting than just running after two mcguffins that save/destroy the galaxy yet we're already in cliche town.
>buzzwords
this is what he is clearly aiming for,his asssistant said in an interview that Hachi's sword will have explosion ability about 2 months ago, which is yet to be revealed, clearly the man has a long plan for this.
>Hachi's sword will have explosion ability
So, this is just all an allegory to male puberty?
He should had just killed her off if he hated her so much. No reason to had kept her around.
Aren't all shonen manga just giant sex metaphors? First chapter of Bleach is Rukia giving Ichigo power through penetration and then obsessing over how ginormous his sword is.
Naruto is the best shonen written in the series,it just have no defenders and is treated like normieshit with no critical or story analysing value.

But he fucked Orihime.
It's the first NTR doujin ever made.
So Chapter 15 marks the end of the prologue right? We have a main objective, a main cast of characters (so far) and they are leaving the home planet
A main villain too.
Now it's Ata that has the crimson lightsaber, right?
Yeah, Cat-sensei now just has to flex on the moon in the next chapter and the journey will start
I've never understood how can the series be "underrated by its own fanbase" before i watched Naruto. This fanbase is probably one of the most retarded I've ever seen in my life, and, despite having lots of people, seriously lacks actually smart ones. And while Naruto is a fucking gem for different analysis videos, this fanbase prefers waifuwars, crying about "eyehacks, stupid Uchihas!!!" and jerking off part 1. No wonder it gets treated like a normalfag dirt when even the majority of its own fans have an IQ -60
>50% of the posts here are about Naruto
Good job kishi
Pretty much. I think we've yet to see how the general story structure is going to be. Personally, I hope he'll opt for spacefaring adventure and show us different planets, each with their own arc at first, akin to how One Piece visits different islands, with a bit of SoL while traveling on the ship. He may go for something more uniform, where most planets look the same and traversal of distances is like walking in the neighborhood, so there's only focus on characters, though I think that would be a missed opportunity. A spacefaring setting begs for exploration and a sense of wonder.
That's because Abe wants the kids to go for the healthy big titted women and make lots of kids. Whether it fits the character or the arc or the story or not.
I mean, by looking at Naruto we are trying to figure out what to expect. But yeah, S8 so far is really weak in comparison.
Samurai seem to be a galaxy wide thing.
It's even worse with bleach
I wonder how to Toriyama felt after finishing Dragonball and trying to start a new manga
That's up to debate. Naruto didn't wobble between being stupid and being good like Bleach did, it turned consistently stupid far longer ago but that also means that if you got the the ending you probably got to what you signed up for. Bleach is worse by the juxtaposition between Kubo's best and his worst being so far and wide apart.
Maybe because those series are average and you guys are overhyping them?
Probably the same way he felt when he finished Dr. Slump and started Dragon Ball.
Formative Experience™
The generation of shonen Bleach and Naruto belongs to can honestly just be skipped. All of it. It's shit, and mostly plagiarism. Everything that came before it is better, and all the new ones are better too. It's like the windows vista between xp and 7. Just don't.
didn't he had a bunch of failed manga after dragonball?
anyway he's set for life.
Not really. He made a bunch of oneshost and short series, all pretty popular in their own right, like Sandland.
Naruto has very apparent thematic dissonance

>Naruto, the Self-Made Hypocrite
I gathered as much, though I hope that he's still injecting enough flavor the factions to make things feel varied. Like I said, the sense of wonder is a fundamental appeal of such stories. The hero in the secluded village setting out to see the world on his heroic trip, seeing the splendor of the capital and monuments of the past etc. At least I think the series would benefit from banking in on that. But hey, maybe Kishimoto hhas something different in mind. That's why I'm pretty damn curious where he wants to take things after the "prologue" and hope that the series can continue on to get the opportunity to show us the next stage.
>Naruto didn't wobble between being stupid and being good like Bleach did
Naruto definitely got stupid well before the end. But what exactly constitutes as "stupid"? Are we talking about whole arcs or specific moments where an asspull happens? What is the "stupid" in bleach?
I'm a Hinatafag that crave for analysis so much so that I've rewatched the series and have done some myself.
Bleach is well written.
dude no I've having such a hard time watching it right now after 250 episodes. It just never ends and its so bad
Thats because plague spic failed to understand a story aimed for 12 year olds. And let's be honest, its a joke video with no substance.
I've seen the TV troupes one,but isn't human hipocrisy the main theme of Naruto?they just provided supportive evidence on it.
Watch the first video here
>its so bad
Explain why
By what standard?
>,but isn't human hipocrisy the main theme of Naruto?
umm no? what weird damage control
>Thats because plague spic failed to understand a story aimed for 12 year olds.
Nice argument
Then it's not a problem with writing,it's your taste. If you don't like it don't watch it.
>the theme of naruto is hipocrisy that why the writing is a conflicting mess!!!
ha
Watch the video,it debunk all of it. Yes Human Hipocrisy is The most prominent theme in Naruto,so much so that every villain is a hypocrite and moments of talk no jutsu involve Naruto making them to confront it and change their world view.
Shonen standar
By general standards, ask a bleachfag on how well written bleach is. The problem with Yea Forums is that if a story doesn't flow the way they want to,It's immediately deemed bad, regardless of the writing. Which is what happened to both Naruto and Bleach.
>umm no
Have you even listened to Madara? Or why did he settle with the Infinite Tsukuyomi?
S8 only exists to be secret Naruto threads without attractring the "Stop spumming your shitty thread, Narutard" schizo. Fucking based.
That's because of his duality, aren't you glad that I said you to watch the video back then?
He won't spam that on Bort threads either,he is most likely the user who created that "shonen tier" bait post.
Well, even this is better than the ultimate form of retardness aka "2019? Naruto? On my safe space Yea Forums?!"
I talked with a coworker about how Kaguya was a complete asspull, and he said that it was foreshadowed pretty well. But when you really thought about it, Kaguya was only mentioned when Naruto and Sasuke were both dying before they get the power up needed to seal her, except she hasn't even taken over Madara yet. Super contrived bullshit like how all the eye powers are linked to one bloodline, and that the kohona village people are directly descended from the mythological figures of the series.
Remember how shook Jiraiya was seeing multiple Renningan users facing three paths of pain and reasoned it'd be impossible for multiple individuals to have the special eyes of the originator of all ninjutsu? Isn't it funny that if Kohona allowed interracial marriage there could have been thousands of senju-uchiha hybrids with god eyes?
Yes, when you had smaller conflicts such as Zabuza being hired by a rich guy to keep a poor nation from elevating themselves from poverty, or Neji having hatred for the circumstances of his birth, you have interesting story dynamics. But when the devil gives birth to Jesus who creates magic and then his two demigod sons at war with each other keep reincarnating into the leaders of one of the five nations including into our two protagonists? The three most powerful bloodlines are eye techinques from one single Mother/Bunnygirl/10 Tail Demon/Chakra Fruit Tree/Alien.
Tell me that bullshit is good writing you dumb mother fuckers. Then tell me the guy that gave us that is also going to deliver on Immortal Spiritual Robot Samura with Clay Robot Dogs, 7 Identical clones of the MC, and swordsman Galactus trying to use a beachball and a rubix cube to rewrite the universe. "Oh no you don't understand, Madara and Obito wanting to do a worse version of Instrumentality is totally deep and well thought out."
Imagine being the endgame villain of a shounen and your name is fucking Carla kek never gonna get taken seriously
WSJ manga threads are only a problem if they infest every square cm of the catalog 24/7
Ann a best.
I like her so far. It does feel like Kish tries to circumvent some of the pitfalls he crashed into with his female cast in Naruto.
I wonder if Kishi will introduce a Sasuke-like character, the cast seems pretty small and the world feels empty.
>Hachimaru is basically the chosen one
>Becomes some god-tier Acala level samurai
Kek, at least Kishi is telling us that Hachimaru is going to be universe level of broken by the end of the manga.
What do you mean by a Sasuke-like character? A rival, a male friend, a guy from the bad guys side with the connection to a hero?
a deuteragonist (AKA second in importance to the MC)
Pretty sure Kishi's boner for gay dynamics is too strong to not introduce someone like that
Just wait for Nanashi to return
