Yes, it followed Kawamatsu for most of it, but the chapter was really about Zoro. It was using a different character's story to explain why Hiyori would be willing to give up Enma. Plotwise, the chapter was for him, not for Kawamatsu. It also touched briefly on the Shimotsuki name, which will most likely be tied to Koshiro in the future and possibly Kyoshiro as well.

The wano arc is making me drop off of one piece for now. The pace just feels so slow and nothing interesting IMO has been happening that felt impactful to the story. I hope it gets better again before 2020.

I quit for like 3 years. Then I moved away from home and remembered stuff like the Baratie arc and decided to watch the anime for the feels. When I got to Mr. 3 I was THIS FUCKING CLOSE to quitting again but I stuck with it because I had nothing else to watch and after Drum concluded I was hooked.

It was very frustrating to watch because all the villains were like Arlong who Luffy could solo or Smoker where O MY ESTRANGED DAD saves them. It's not until Crocodile that you get a sense of the dangers lurking on the grand line.

I'm still really in two minds about what's going on with her. On the one hand, it certainly feels like there's something fucky. But it's mostly from that initial introduction to her, so we may have already got the twist when she was revealed to be a good guy all along. And it doesn't really feel like Oda goes for these sort of extended, fucking with you portrayals. One twist is usually enough. On the other other hand, I really just can't shake that initial impression which doesn't feel like it's been properly addressed/made up for narratively yet. It really feels like we're still waiting for another shoe to drop.

Well, you have to take in cound the kind of story one piece is. It's a romance, and everything is exaggerated beyond anything i've ever seen in manga before. It took a good amount of time to realize that i wasn't reading the regular formula, so I expected Oda to do things a certain way. But when you understand what he's trying to do is a pretty cool story. All you have to do is let the stream flow. One piece is an emotional manga above all, and Luffy's emotions are unleashed. I've got mad with friends for things they didn't do and i though they did. Shit happens.

I really hope Kaido gets the final blow by a common effort by the monster trio, sth like Luffy weakening his scales, and Sanji sneaking Zoro in the sky for the last blow, kicking him in range like in Alabasta.
It would etablish all of them as force throughout the world
