It's kind of hard to tell the demons apart, as well as to sympathize with them given the whole human farms thing and overall lack of panel time. Might have benefited the story to delve into these things sooner.

I personally think it's harder to sympathize with the nobles and farm workers (and even then there's Ayshe's dad) than the actual civillian demons themselves. Because thinking about the average city demon, we've only ever seen them in a "good" light, living their lives normally. While in GP and now this final arc, the ones shown in an asshole light are always the nobles. I think that's why the idea of the nobles getting fucked and the average demon surviving doesn't bother me personally.

There is no accepted theory, to be honest. People have thrown out that it's herself staying behind but the fact that she asked for cattle children to be free makes this a bit unlikely since she's a cattle child herself. Other than that it's just mostly baseless speculation.

He's gonna show up but he's probably gonna be an awful final villain considering he can't do anything against the promise.

To be fair, the promise is just that the kids are ABLE to cross over, not that REDACTED will do that himself. So it's still up to them to cross and Peter might try to maintain the system through that loophole. If you can call it that. He won't just accept this loss of power, he's even worse than the nobles.

I think they're equally as bad in their own way. Peter is worse from our perspective because we're following the human cast and he's abusing his own kind. But from a demon's perspective the nobles were abusing their own kind too. Not as severely as the human punishment which was more than likely death and torture for some but still, they basically made their entire population dependent on some shit meat so they could control them and the queen even wanted to sacrifice part of their people way back for convenience just so they wouldn't have to share.
Both Peter and the nobles deserve nothing but death.
