It's never too late. Start lifting, start a martial art, try to find a job so you are financially stable. I don't know what's wrong with you but you need to look inward first. Powerlifting and MMA helped band-aid my existential crisis for the time being. I'm not really sure how to fix social anxiety besides forcing yourself out, I joined the military and deployed a few times and become a charismatic chad-lite after being forced to interact with others. Is it just me or are the Rebuild models of the characters not as thin as the original designs? In the original anime, both the men and the women are fucking rail thin. Kaji's the broadest guy in the show and even he's not all that special. But in the Rebuilds everyone seems to have gotten 'wider', if that makes any sense.

I'm in a better place today but it was two years ago almost to the day when I hit absolute bottom and had a psychotic break due to my self loathing. Ilve spent two years in a mental health hospital learning everything is should have learned from Eva the first time.
I've been lifting for a year and running all summer, I've worked in peer support and have changed the hospital for the better. I don't know why I was so worried about losing anything since I realize that I really had nothing to lose anyways.

That's great to hear user. You've done more to genuinely help people that me and most people here could hope to achieve by improving the lives of people at the hospital you were working at, so that is definitely something you should be proud of. Putting your body to work and stressing it is one of the easiest ways to set your mind on track in my experience, and it seems you are doing what needs to be done. Just make to set goals for your physical activities instead of lifting just to 'lift'.
I personally find meditation in lifting heavy ass weights so I design my goals around just getting stronger and stronger, hoping to bench 365 for a single before the end of the year. Just make sure you don't do it just to do it because you will lose motivation fast. Make goals and try to work towards them. Train your body and the mind will soon follow

Man, this is a lesson I still need to internalize. Do you have friends or family you can rely on? I used to take my own perception of myself as a 'struggler' too seriously and tried to go at everything alone because of my masochistic tendencies. I guess I felt like I had a point to prove? I still do it a lot but I've started to accept I need others and try my hardest to build and improve my relationships nowadays instead of going monk mode.
Not sure about your financial status but please, for the love of god, make sure you are employed in some capacity so you can be self-sufficient in finances. Your life feels so much more flexible and worth living when you have the means to change it.
