You could always just read the story. Shigaraki was getting milly rocked his entire career up until this arc. Even the highway moment which was cool left him worse off than before.

He was always being put in his place until now when he was backed into a do or die situation.

To be honest I'm hoping for something that'll permanently take him out of the story as an antagonist so maybe we can get a more interesting villain next time. Destro was marginally better, but it's a low bar so that's not saying much.

Sure shiggy killed his family on his own accord, but had he been reached by someone who consoled him (mind you he was a 4 year old that was in teh least momentarily insane) he could've gone in a totally different direction. So TEEEECHNICALLY AFO is still the asshole pulling the strings

honestly this. I started watching bnha at my friend's behest, then started reading the manga after that because I was actually interested in the story. That was around the time they were starting that shitty joint training competition thing, right before deku has his "o my 7 quirks" moment. Since then I've barely even been checking the release. This story has way too much character development for all the wrong characters.

No it isn't, it shows his growth. he keeps the hand merely as a decoration and possibly a memento. When it fell to the ground, he didn't even care. He even flat out refers to it as meaningless decoration.

It shows more growth to go "eh yea whatever, this thing's still here I guess it's ok" then to dramatically destroy it like it's some big symbolic issue.

The hands no longer hold any meaning to him, but at this point they're sort of part of his distinct look so why not keep 1?
