For all you people trying to get /fit/, what do you guys drink everyday. Just plain water?

Do you guys just avoid fruit juice and even milk?

That's good to hear because I still like to drink fruit juice and whenever people mention /fit/ diets online, I see all the food they list for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner but for some reason, everyone who posts their daily meal schedules online never ever mentions what they drink everyday, they don't even mention water or what they drink for their meals, so I was just curious if everyone trying to become /fit/ just gave up drinking anything besides water.

Attached: Busted Busties.webm (960x540, 2.17M)

Store-bought fruit juices (which I buy) are really, really high in sugar, but since I'm all ready a big guy who can eat a lot of calories (6'2", a long period as an athlete), my diet is more about
>make sure I always, every day, eat 100% of my micronutrients, minerals, vitamins and tons of water
So I just justify my fruit drinks as still "looking out for my health."

Juice still isn't as bad as alcohol or soda, anyway.

What is she even squeezing, there's nothing there.

I'm a bad guy to ask: I've hated carbonted drinks from the moment I ever tried one. I actively do not order or accept anything effervescent. So, my position is, "I hate it."

But, sugar-free, is better than not, as long as the "sweetener" replacement isn't that chemical I forgot the name of just now. Also, "soda" can be a lot of drinks besides Coca-Cola or Pepsi.

I heard ancient humans drank alcohol more often than water during their meals. I wonder how true is that.

Attached: It's time.webm (960x540, 84K)

Juice is close to as bad as soda (lots of studies have shown it's an easy path to obese children), but if you are counting calories then it's not a problem.

>stroking my oni girl fetish without making her super tall or insanely ripped
God bless this show.

Attached: onisensei.png (678x720, 552K)

People like to promulgate that idea under the assumption ancient alcohol was the significant source of "clean" hydration since it's generally boiled and not a diseased river/stream source. They like to also believe humans from civilizations even 2 or 3 thousand years ago were morons who didn't invent ways to keep themselves from dying what they ate every day.

Alcohol may have been "safer" in ancient civilizations than their ability to heal sickness from contaminated sources, but mostly unlikely in most humanity locations on Earth. People learn what boiling does early on.

I heard everyone is drinking "sparkling water" instead of soda these days.

Sales are outpacing soda these days in America.

cbsnews.com/news/carbonated-water-has-become-a-multibillion-dollar-industry/

I'm unsure of the actual process to make soda but I think sparkling water should be much cheaper to manufacture than your average soda as well since it contains much less ingredients

It's true. Alcohol is a disinfectant. Drinking small beer or watered wine reduces the chances of dysentry

This show actually gave me good advice and encouraged me to lose weight. I dropped 5 pounds.

Attached: Protein Shake Clumping = Bad Omen.webm (960x540, 709K)

They should have ate more preserved meals than us, right, through smoking, salting, etc
Also, preserving food through "jello" and then serving food with the "jello".

I guess it depends on the region where these ancient humans lived though. I bet people who lived near the sea might have enjoyed more variety in meals than those who lived in landlocked areas.

Just be careful about the animation because those are animators in charge of animating some weightlifting exercises not the writer who created the manga so don't always imitate what you see in the anime because some poses/exercises may look wrong.

Very true, alcohol is a disinfectant, the more pure it is. It will "disinfect" infected drinks. Striking a balance of "lethally pure" and "disinfectant" is difficult to ascertain considering the source needed to be disinfected and the level of re-hydration that human needs.

Ancient humans certainly did drink alcohol, and were not shy about it, but it was very, very unlikely to be any sort of primary hydration source unless that civilization was set-up in a very, very diseased location which, if an entire civilization or even a small community that has access to regular alcohol was probably the result of some visitor or poisoner, in which case, they should have moved.

A point I thought of but forgot to mention, 100% correct. Seafood has great variety, but salt water also made cooking difficult for humans. They were very inventive to correct this.

I know people drank well water but I have not come across any depiction that shows how ancient people hydrated themselves everyday.

Did they bother to always boil the water they gathered from wells or streams? We know what ancient people ate but not really how they hydrated themselves everyday.

I just keep imagining an ancient farmer resting in the hot afternoon and just drinking a beer to be honest.

Attached: It's the Ghost Forest for a reason.webm (960x540, 449K)

They have strainers, well-water and indeed clean stream sources. If the cases of "cities" aqueducts and other water-transportation systems also heavily influenced the inhabitants desire to keep that source clean. Similarly, however, given that shared water source as a means for cleansing things and overall use...it usually meshed with the sewer system, too, causing problems.

I'm no historian to claim all the tools they used for drinking clean water, but I'd say to be skeptical of claims that drinking alcohol was ever a primary source.

Don't forget to pig out next Danberu episode. Cola, chips, ice cream, pudding, and other various junk foods go great with anime! Afterwards spend a few hours browsing Yea Forums, watching more anime, or even just playing a video game for maximum comfy.

ir was a significant enough source to select for alcohol tolerance genes in european populations.

that's not because Europeans drank alcohol to survive, it's because Europeans were the only population to drink significant quantities of distilled spirits

that seems wrong, I only really know britain, but barley growing for beer was ubiquitous historically,
they also had whole districts during cholera outbreaks perish from dirty water contamination
until tea culture took off some form of alcohol was a necessity
youtube.com/watch?v=y_HrYdMlppE&list=PLBwC0sil0vDlO828OYQfPiSBHivdePxNK&index=11

Attached: 1565797852821.jpg (751x719, 91K)

Alcohol in ancient times was much weaker than modern alcohol, right?

So I guess a daily drink might not have been so bad.

>dirty water contamination
As long as your careful to not conflate "contamination" with "alcohol 24/7."
>some form of alcohol
True, humans learned quickly
>a necessity
Not really. It was a necessity only when it was needed. Notice the overstatement.

Attached: 1546965363958.png (963x651, 305K)

historical alcohol isn't much like today's, more rough, it was an energy an protein source too
might have been some connection to the cold dark winters, alcohol derived b vitamins might also be important in that those that consumed beer or ale had more

Should all alcohol be cut out for optimum gains? Genuinely curious.
Can't drink without having some horrible digestive problems lately.

Should I watch this?

Just watch it and find out yourself, retard.

I've realized too much diary is really fucking bad, I feel awful, my teeth hurt too.

Are you chugging milk or something, user?

Drinking alcohol naturally increases the pH level of your stomach because your body will produce more acid than usual. This increase in acidity naturally irritates your stomach. You should consider seeing a doctor who might refer you to a gastroenterologist who can perform an endoscopy to check the inside of your stomach for any problems or issues.

Spicy food can also cause an increase in acidity in your stomach and not just alcohol which is why people can also have an upset stomach from spicy food.

Will be something I have to check on in the future. Spicy food and I work great together. Alcohol or excessive sweets, not so much.
Thanks for the info, user.

In case you are worried, an upper endoscopy usually takes less time to perform for a doctor compared to a colonoscopy since a colonoscopy has to navigate left and right around the colon while an upper endoscopy just has to go past your throat and not have to keep twisting and turning left and right as the scope reaches your stomach. I'm not a doctor though so I can't be too sure what is causing you stomach troubles.

However, if you are worried about the price or possible money issues, you could consider asking your doctor for a much cheaper Abdominal Ultrasound which can examine your abdomen, liver, gallbladder, kidneys, etc without requiring any anesthesia and you basically just have to lie down and have someone move an ultrasound device on your stomach for several minutes. But remember, only an upper endoscopy can reveal something like a stomach ulcer in more detail compared to other investigative methods.

I'm not sure of your age or insurance, but let's say you were 50 years old. It be convenient if you could request to have both an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy to be done in the same day which saves you a lot of time since both an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy require the patient to undergo fasting and drink that awful medicine to try to make your stomach and colon completely empty before the examination so by requesting both procedures, you get your entire digestive system examined in the same day since 50 year olds generally start getting recommended to have a colonoscopy done so if you somehow get the okay by the insurance and your doctor to have an upper endoscopy done, might as well ask for a colonoscopy as an addition

Again, I'm not a doctor so don't follow my advice before you consult with a real doctor. I'm just sharing my thoughts. But you might want to stop drinking alcohol if you are experiencing such horrible digestive problems.

Already have since the last birthday I turned loose on.
Will keep this advice in mind.

Yeah, same here. I gotta say that fall colors in Non Non Biyori are the most kino though.

Water, tea, coffee but I stopped buying that pre made stuff.

Water mostly. On occasion I'll chug protein powder in some almond milk.

People shit on it here but try soya, almond and grain milk instead.

I drink onions milk I bought from Costco but other milk tastes too strange for me. I feel onions milk tastes the closest to real milk.

It's funny though. We are the only animal species that drinks milk other than our mother's milk.

I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where human breast milk is available 24/7.

Varied stuff
Tea, water, beverages with fruit, rice water, oatmeal water, milk

problem is that I use sugar, trying to cut it down

I just found this, you guys seen it?

My middle school snacks were always Capri Sun and Lunchables. Also, the vending machines in my middle school had Fruitopia along with Gatorade. So I guess you could say I was raised on fruit juice more than soda.

I switch from orange juice or lemonade these days though but it is not like I drink fruit juice throughout the day. I feel like fruit juice tastes the best in mornings while for lunch and dinner, I prefer just drinking water.

Not even vitamins?

I like Hibiki's voice actress
She's obviously trying hard
Like, she's obviously been hitting the gym and eating a calorie surplus because she has some meat on her bones unlike most Japanese girls

>There's no black characters in the anime, but they got a black guy to play Machio
I guess Japs really do hate lifting
youtube.com/watch?v=0bJNdathr-U

Gym culture doesn't really exist in Japan. Look at space issues, etc

You could open an American sized gym in the countryside but good luck trying to open one in Tokyo and breaking even in your financials. Although, if you placed it right next to be a major Japanese college, it could work.

But again, land and space is expensive in Japanese urban cities.

American gyms are too extravagant
All you need is 5 - 10 cages with some benches that you can drag in and out of them and a few bits of cardio equipment.
If you feel fancy you can throw in a couple adjustable cable machines too.

There's really no good reason to have machines that work only one specific muscle group (sometimes even just a specific part of a muscle group).
I guess those kinds of machines are nice to have, but they really aren't necessary

The rope pulling machine in this episode was very interesting. Never seen or heard of it before.

all the vitamins in the world aren't going to help you against the damage that sugar does
