When it was airing I saw a lot of anons complaining about how it wasn't adapting the game story properly. Add the fact that people who haven't played the games probably wouldn't watch it, you get a limited viewership.
Not to mention the amount of people who thought it was all CG (only the aragami were). That really baffled me.
As a gamefag I really liked it and liked Lenka, and I agree with it's the best video game adaptation I've seen.

Frankly it's a better adaptation of the first act of the game than the game itself.
Eric wasn't just an idiot douche with a sister to be sorry for, we get context for the state and dystopia of Fenrir, Alisa gets significantly more fleshing out so we know why she's so messed up and her "betrayal" is portrayed sympathetically. Lindow doesn't job to a mid-range Aragami in an arena he could trivially escape.
Overall, it was some pretty good shit.

I watched it while it was airing without knowing anything of the source material. I thought it was really boring and cliche, it had really nothing that grabbed me apart from the visuals and character designs. One of the later episodes had some ok drama but that's it.
