Shirou's personality works to his advantage, the MC is so unsufferable with his morals and unwillingness to act, that seeing a version of him that's the complete opposite becomes even more refreshing.

There is only one no-Archer timeline because as soon as that Shirou made the contract with Gaia and became a Heroic Spirit he stopped existing within the limits of time and could affect all other timelines

Well, yeah. But he and Saber won the war which means Lancer was gone so nothing stops Avalon from healing the wound completely. Saber even says in Fate route when they get out of Kotomine's creepy basement that Avalon can heal lance's curse.

you cant lose avalon. its not a physical object but pieces.
shirou removes avalon in fate before the final battle by projecting it and recreating the scattered bits in him.
when kiritsugu put it in him he charged it with magical energy.
it weakens later, but when saber learns about it she can heal him when she touches him.

Yes, it's much higher with Saber's magical energy available. Shirou didn't have those crazy healing powers before he summoned her, Avalon only made him more resistant to diseases.
