IS EREN AN ACTUAL DECOSTRUCTION OF LITERALLY ALL THE SHONEN MCs?
>actually development (both phisical, mental and relationship). >understand brute force isn't a good way to fight and start using the brain instead of punching harder. >start as a cringy boy who wanted kill monsters and became a multidimensional character who just want to protect his land and his family ,not matter the cost him or the world have to pay. >actually killing innocent instead of being a goodguy like Tardruto. >actually have a true relationship with a girl (after this chapter is literally 100% Canon that he have at least a "best friend" relationship with Historia and that he is actually involved in her pregnacy in a way or other) instead of being a dense faggot like all the other characters.
There actually is a better MC than him? And no HxHfag, your shitposting is not allowed in this thread!!!
>understand brute force isn't a good way to fight and start using the brain instead of punching harder should have learned to kick instead

ESL-kun there's nothing to analyse. Stop being a EH shitter and seek help.

Im not saying this, im saying that he developed a stronger relation with the dwarf queen (and they can just being "best friends", in this manga the simple friendship between male and female exist, just look to Connie and Sasha) than with anyone else. If you costantly see shipping in it that mean you are mentally ill

Seethe, shipperfag. Spicren will never be a good character.
Ignoring that right blatantly ignores 99.9% of every crucial moment that led to Eren's current state compared to the black and white, short-tempered, emotional wreck of a child he was the right image is 70% Gon making faces and a few out of context statements that make Gon out to be a more complicated character than he actually is. I like both series but shit like this image is why I can't admit to being a fan of either without getting associated with embarrassing shitters.

This just sounds like Funny Valentine: Origins

Short answer, yes, there are better MC's than him. But he's a pretty good one especially considering the rocky start he had in the beginning. If it was always the author intention to have him and the world develop the way it did then he did that damn fine job and aside from a very few personal gripes I had Eren's development is a pleasant surprise considering I had all but expected him to remain the same single-minded child he was portrayed as early on. The cool part is he's still rather single-minded if you really pay attention to him but his experiences has warped that trait into something much darker and complex. To me, it's much better handled than Gon's freakout in HxH. Not saying Gon's was handled badly but he's pretty much reverted back to his usual cheerful self afterwards(so far unless that changes down the line) and he ultimately killed an enemy who hurt his friend rather than an innocent person or someone close to him so he's got leeway for returning back to old self with little need to ACTUALLY change while Eren's change is irrevocable and actual somewhat tragic in that he's too far gone to ever possibly go back now.

eren is a cuck
Adrian Butler
nah he should just be deconstructed
Cameron Robinson
>no way fags Mikasa's obsessive ass >beats the shit out of Armin for being a beta whiteknight and challenging him >fucks and breeds the queen(aka best girl) >goes out to genocide his enemies but takes the time out to tell Reiner they're cool just because he can before pushing everyone's shit in >cuck
>Not liking both equally for what they bring to the table by flipping the usual MC formula on it's head
That said, Eren and Shirou are such different characters I don't even know why you would bother comparing them like this in terms of whose better than the other
Caleb Taylor
HxH is fucking garbage virgin cuck
Xavier Lewis
That's cheating because Light and Visual Novel characters are leaps and bounds above your average good anime MC. I'd argue even Tatsuya, the overpowered brother from the irregular at highschool or something, can be more interesting than Eren if you read the light novel. Having lenghty internal monologues and extra dialogue and interactions is unfair to anime.
If you actually compare UBW Shirou and the Shirou from the HF movies, he isn't better than Eren, not at all. Eren could belong to something like Berserk.

Gon literally witnessed dozens of people get slaughtered and barely gave a fuck. He was an original character that was indifferent to all the dark things in the world whilst still being positive, nice, and hopeful. Gon literally saved the lives of mass murderers. Then when one fucking guy he met for 1 week dies, all of a sudden he goes into teenage linkin park mode and feels like murdering.
Eren never got over people dying. The war slowly wore him down. The memories he got from his father killed his life-long dream of reaching the beach before he even got there. It's a sensible character development for him to become some sort of rogue terrorist.

>after this chapter is literally 100% Canon Which one?

For fucks sake, being different =/= deconstruction, you fucking Yea Forumsedditor.

I feel the term deconstruction is often used in a pretentious context, but in this case, it sort of works. I think someone mentioned it but Eren was like an edgy shonen MC in a seinen. He yells, threatens, exaggerates to chuuni levels but he jobs so hard in realistic fashion. He can't do a damn thing by himself and that's consistent and said in the story. He thought he was special, because he could turn into a titan, but he really wasn't, was a heroine who needed to be saved time and again, and eventually accepts that he needs help. Eren's progression hasn't been about standard powerups (though he did get them) but that he's become smarter, more ruthless and Machiavellian. While retaining his selfishness and impulsivity. Deconstruction or not, he's a great protagonist so far.
