What the hell went so damn wrong? Sales are tanking, viewership is tanking too and the long-awaited Wano arc is an extremely boring disappointment.

Can One Piece be redeemed?

sure

the live-action tv show will save it

>tanking
You must haven't seen the Stampede numbers.

Attached: Stampede.png (806x789, 408K)

The movie, different from the manga, is actually exciting

In my own opinion: the Yonko didn't deliver, and I don't think it was necessarily Oda's fault per se. People always expect *more* of stuff -- take GoT's ending. Was it bad? Hard to say, but most people wanted more out of it (even if they didn't know what it was that they wanted), and when their impossible to meet hopes weren't met, they left dissatisfied.

That's how I feel about WCI and Wano thus far.
Where does the series and Luffy go from here? The hype just isn't there for me.

Moon arc will salvage the series

>take GoT's ending. Was it bad?
yes

Oh, finally people realizing this manga/anime is shit?
Time at last.

To me it already is, I actually love wano. Who cares about sales at this point, it can loose a lot and still be miles from the axe.

Oh, you were saying?

Attached: 1566188350620.jpg (998x992, 126K)

once the real luffy and kaido fight starts everyone will be back to jerking off oda as scheduled. next question.

I don't see how Luffy can fight Kaido at this point and it seem satisfying and not a total asspull. That's an issue.

Don't a bunch of characters gang up on the main villain of the new movie? I think the age of 1v1 fights is over, the fight against Kaido is going to be a group fight.

It should be,there's no fucking eay that luffy could defeat Kaido alone.I think that maybe he could deliver the final blow but 1v1 nope.

I would love to see more teamwork action instead of the usual 1v1

>filler Roger pirate with Kid's powers
>more exciting than Kaido
Nah.

Oda spent too much time creating useless characters nobody care about instead of focusing on the existing ones like the straw hats, supernova, marines like Smoker, etc,etc...

Let's talk about Kaido, he's freakin irrelevant in his own arc, another emperor has more panel time than him in it lol

Does anyone actually care about Smoker?

at this point it would be retarded, but as wano keeps going and we reach it's conclusion i don't think it'd be that far fetched assuming wano is going to be double the length of dressrosa. just depends on the developments we get to see.
a group fight against kaido would be even better.

No juicy steaks, and even if there are, they’re cooked badly, I couldn’t care less about a loose whore who’s abandoned a kappa years ago. Show me her gobbling Zoro’s cock or fuck off oda

>more exciting than Kaido
Yes, actually
The entire movie has a better plot than Wano and is way more straightfoward. It also didn't last for 4 years

Not only the kappa, but all the samurai are fucking boring. Ye, Kaido is evil as fuck and he screwed everybody over, now move along with the plot Oda

Kaido generally comes of as a less important member of villain duo with Orochi (when it comes to emotional involvement) and BM has more presence in his own arc too. He's basically there to be toppled and all the interesting stuff comes from the others. Also, Beast Pirates are punching boxes.

>take GoT's ending. Was it bad?
Jesus, is this bait?

one piece is getting stale, but it stayed fresh a lot longer than most series so I don't really mind. I just want to know how it ends now

Thank you! I was about to write the same thing
Maybe their duo resonates more with Japanese readers given japan’s history (although sales don't seem to indicate that they find it any more interesting than we do), but the dynamics between the two, the screentime given to them heavily penalises kaido, and it’s a fucking shame; the yonkou was hyped for years, and we get so little of him, the fabled invincible beast. We get a ton of obnoxious jump cuts, that constantly mar the rhythm and pacing of the narration, only to focus on minor details. It’s fucking maddening

I wonder whether he'll manage to take over the arc before the final fight or be be little more than an (very long and drawn out) afterthought.

One Piece has hit this snag where everyone now realizes that Oda only knows how to write like 3 different kinds of arcs and he just keeps rewriting the same plotlines in a new color and expecting no one to notice.
This became almost painfully obvious with Dressrosa

My issues with the Big Mom and Kaido are in part their characterization: they're just brutes. Big Mom's DF is an afterthought to her retard strength and Kaido is more of the same. Shanks may be fruitless, but his whole gimmick is still just being a superb fighter. There was a missed opportunity in not giving one of the Yonko (besides BB) a reality-bending DF that didn't simply augment their strength as a brawler.

And I get that it's a shounen, yes.

Oda started eating Kubo's "Character Clusterfuck Crisp" for breakfast and it feels like there's no time for the Strawhats anymore.
I honestly don't care much for these 2 dozen samurai characters in Wano. I'd rather get Strawhat time.

Except for Luffy who get even more panel time than pre-timeskip

Yeah, at least he didn't become a side character in his own series like Ichigo did.

I fucking wish 1v1 fights were over, I want to see a big group fight against Kaido. But it's gonna be Luffy v Kaido with superHaki and Gear 4.5

Nah, reality warpers are shit if you don't know what to do with them, Oda never really tried drawing particularly smart fights, he shouldn't try a go at something like this. Otherwise you have Bleach situation when there were at least 4 reality warpers, none of them used their powers to their full extent and their defeats were pure bullshit.

I wish would Oda would at least a group fight with the weaker straw hats instead of having team just clean fodders at this state of the series. Like, the weak trio against a flying six

Thriller Bark final fight went more or less like this
Oars team fight -> Luffy vs Oars "one-on-one" -> Oars group finisher -> Luffy vs Moria one-on-one
I believe Kaido's fight might be similar with team up portions, but still last few chapters being Kaido vs Luffy.

One Piece is the longest non-episodic manga in Jump

Best Girl

That's not Perona

Honestly I just want him to reveal the fate/identity of the seventh and final Scabbard, as well as who the hell the Witching Hour Boy is, assuming it's not a pre-existing character. Then the story will finally move along swiftly, I'm sure.
I actually am enjoying Wano a lot, but, COME ON

Not even best girl in the crew.

Based & redpilled

take GoT's ending. Was it bad?
Muh broken king

Ennies Lobby > Impel Down > Marineford > Sabaody > Alabasta > Thriller Bark > East Blue > Jaya > Little Garden > Water 7 > Davy Back Fight > Whisky Peak > Luffy's Flashback > Skypiea > Drum Island > Lev Ely > shit > rancid shit > Dressrosa > Amazon Lily > Zou > Punk Hazard > WCI > Wano > Fishman Island

This ranking is perfect and it is the absolute truth

Atrocious taste, kill yourself

>denying the absolute truth

>who the hell the Witching Hour Boy is
It's Yasuie, speedreader-kun

It’s on like 900+ episodes.

It has more episodes than any other shounen, it’s hard for anything to stay good for that long. The fact it’s even popular at all is insane:

“Impel down”
Stop. That arc is literally Luffy running around with Buggy and Bon Clay for 50 episodes.

I thought he was BSing

Detective Conan

Please; even Yea Forums doesn’t care about that.

That doesn't make statement correct.

In less than 20 volumes this series has lost between 700,000 to 800,000 readers.

What about all those volumes inbetween you chose not to write?

One Piece sales per year:

>2010
32,343,809
>2011
37,996,373

>2017
11,495,532
>2018
8,113,317

And does that include digital sales?

Not him, but other mangas aren't dropping so hard like One Piece. The sale of the physical manga of some series, like MHA and HxH are actually rising. If digital sales were to blame for the drop of volume sales, all other series should have been experiencing a similar drop.

OP is dying. Cope.

Attached: 1556190782490.png (981x260, 31K)

He's coping, there are people living in Japan like Greg saying One Piece is past its peak in Japan. Digital sales isn't an excuse for the 1 million

thats the low rate birth in action

Lol, One piece is not dying. Every volume still sales over at least 2 million copies after released. The newest volume is selling better than the previous anyway. Plus, not accounting digital sales which is now a big factor in the market. The newest film is going to outgross the previous one. If One Piece is declining, it's a very small decline.

What do the reviews say?

I think big part of the sales in past were people catching up with buying all the older volumes.
Personally last One Piece volume I bought is vol 83, but that is because I kinda stopped buying manga all-together because my collection has nearly 600 volumes, and I ran out of space.

Attached: 1556200648181.jpg (640x296, 50K)

Its dying.

>One Piece - 5,969,851 ---> 3,110,049
>Haikyu!! - 3,086,097 ---> 2,523,071
>My Hero Academia - 2,097,088 ---> 2,516,768
>Black Clover - 790,032 ---> 2,033,277

I don't read runes.

Gee I wonder why the sales were so good then hrm...

Oh right the climax of the first part of the series was happening

I think the main reason for the sales drop is that SJ finally has manga that can compete with it in terms of appeal. Also One Piece (at least the manga itself) is viewed as more for older people who started reading it as kids, so kids tend to go for something else. Don't know why this has not really affected the movies/anime since Stampede is doing great for a Toei movie. Maybe kids just really like cartoons?

Are you retarded. MHA and Black clover are new series that gain sales/popularity boost when new anime airs and people buy backlog volumes

One Piece has had multiple boom periods where it's biggest one was in 2009-2012, where it broke a record in 2011. Pre-2009, One Piece volumes were selling around 1-2 million sales. It's popularity has simply stabilised after the massive boom period.

Jesus Christ. One Piece is only selling 1/4 what it did at the beginning of the decade? That's so extreme you'd think the series was being boycotted or something.

This is good to know, though.

>Don't know why this has not really affected the movies/anime
The anime ratings are plummeting too tho

Turns out when you have all up to date volumes, you stop buying older volumes you already own. Who knew?

God THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one that felt Wano has been a sorry piece of shit. It had sooo much potential.

Oda has gotten into the trap of going way overboard with world building and not moving the plot forward.

animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2017-04-03/one-piece-tops-list-of-manga-fans-dropped-due-to-length/.114096

Your theory would only be correct if the sales of individual recent volumes weren't dropping too. But they're consistently tanking

on unrelated note you animenewsnetwork is very biased. It's like kotaku of anime world.

But the newest volume is selling faster than the previous. Plus, as people have mentioned repeatedly, digital is rising and is a major factor now, but is not factored in sales numbers.

OBSESSED

Attached: image.png (680x513, 200K)

Nice job taking thing out of context and trying to trick people by not mentioning the fact that the amount of volume released between those years are different. Oda is forced to take a break every three or four chapter and this affected the amount of volumes that are release each years which is also a big factor in the drastic decrease in sale.

It's funny because now in Wano OP has been good for the first time since the TS. The tanking is the whiplash from the absolute disappointing clusterfuck that was both WCI and Dressrosa

Why do dipshits keep trying push this false narrative?

Yeah, sales are decreasing. Who would of thought that a series running for 20+ years would lose some readers over that time? Especially when compared to an artificial peak in sales almost 10 years ago.

Attached: 9dvuutq4w4321.png (1216x793, 47K)

That's just how One Piece is. Nearly all of its main villains just boil down to brawlers who use their powers to enhance their brawling. Even Crocodile just stopped using his fruit in the final battle so he could brawl with Luffy. The only exceptions are the sillier villains like Wapol and MAYBE Enel.

Oh yeah. That was when Strong World somehow became a HUGE deal in Japan and suddenly everyone in Japan was really into One Piece for the next few years.

Attached: image.jpg (520x514, 189K)

>liking Wano
peak shit taste

I disagree on Crocodile. His shtick was being an untouchable logia who was otherwise outclassed by Luffy.

I had dropped OP in the middle of Dressrosa but I've been getting back to reading it and I actually really liked the WCI arc. Maybe it was annoying to read weekly but it being a clusterfuck with tons of characters and large scale battles and stuff was pretty cool when binging it.

I also liked WCI, however like you, I read it in one go after putting the manga on break for a few years. I felt that reading it weekly would have been a bitch like Dressrosa. I feel like Wano is a little better in this regard though

2010 was also the same time Marineford was occurring in the manga.

Sanji

And that's why crack should stay illegal

It’s been utter shit for over a decade now. I’m surprised it took this long

Its too bad Luffy needs the world to help him win fights nowadays while Ichigo solos everything

A battle royal for a eternal pose to Raftel is retarded
You didn't even see the movie either, you're basing this "great plot" on a few fight scenes that leaked. Fightfag.

We're still in the beginning of the arc and Oda already established that Luffy cannot beat Kaido anytime soon

>Its too bad Luffy needs the world to help him win fights nowadays
That's a good thing

>Orange Town
Those first few towns had names!?

Sometimes not every fucking fight because he can’t into strategy

Agree. Nami the best of the best

>Fightfag
What a retarded insult. This is a fight manga
I'd bet you think billions of side characters that no one gives a shit about and generic sob backstories are "great worldbuilding xD"

Stop trolling. robin is a piece of shit, Nami is the best

I've said for a long time the only thing that can save OP is a Strawhat death. Kaidou needs to smash his club into Chopper and leave his body a bloody mess so people will wake the fuck up and pay attention. Then Luffy can use the Dragon Balls later in the story to revive him.

>"i like money! lol! luffy u so dumb *gag punch*. oranges omg!!!"

yeah, no. Robin beats dumb nami all day long

Holy fucking shit. The marineford babby meme is real. Is this high level bait? Kill yourself!

Robin is useless trash and just an unnecessary whore on the crew. Nami is a beautiful, smart and most useful member of the crew.

syrup village sucked ass and so was orange island. saying otherwise is being blinded by nostalgia
thriller bark wasn't good until the last 10% and drum island dragged even though it was so short. punk hazard and fishman were weak but not weaker than those two, that's a fact

Look at this chart again.Marineford was 2010, of course it's real.

>marineford

yikes

>wtf do people really enjoy the arc that is the peak of the series so far?

where did Op go wrong here?

isn't it wrong to compare the sales from volumes that have been on sale for about 2 or 3 years now to volumes that were just released months ago

DBZ Broly made over 100mil.

Stop it

Where can i watch all the movie with a decent sub or quality?

I'm sorry i'm so tired. Even just reading my own post made me want to reach for my wallet. I speak perfect English don't know how I managed to make myself sound not only esl but also brain damaged.

In the fucking cinema, you parasitic poorfag

??? Fuck off fag, i didn't even say I was against paying. I just cant find them online. I'm sorry i don't live in your poor ass country where they still don't have any other movies beyond 2010. I pay for my shit but I don't have enough money to get the "cinema" to play movie I don't even have in my posession. Go fuck your hand asswipe

>tanking
lol

Attached: 65553B41-E5DE-4E14-B976-C92198660269.jpg (764x395, 293K)

There is a difference between making parallels and reusing the same plot.

Except Dressrosa was the only arc in the series remotely similar to previous ones.

It’s literally not the same plot, you can only come to that conclusion if you completely ignore all context to fit your agenda
>muh main characters go to place, they meet new people, fight big bads

Will your meme die if I tell you all series are selling worse due to people reading through apps, you absolute moron, and OP is still the manga sales king every time?

But number lower so idying! Who care if still #1 manga?

I just want the lore, man. OP has such great mysteries and lore.

all manga sales are declining cause everything is on the internet now

>Not liking an arc with Kino moments such as this
You are irredeemable user

One Piece has been around for 20 years and it's only natural that sales are gonna tank
I bet you though that if Oda were to announce that the series would end in 2-5 years sales would shoot up again

user. At least try to pay attention. Stampede is a ridiculous box office success and the only section people complained about with Wano was the 930s. We're well past that in the 950s were Kaido and Big Mom just split the skies with their clash. If you're not into that, you're just not into the series anymore.

>Kaido and Big Mom just split the skies with their clash
I think most people recognized it as a cockteasing the tyoe of which Oda likes so much and can't get hyped about it anymore.

They recognized wrongly, then. They're still literally fighting. The whole purpose of the fight is to show a Yonkou clash and get Rox lore, it's not something like Page 1 vs Sanji.

>take GoT's ending. Was it bad? Hard to say,
Bad example because Everything leading up to GoT's ending was so abyssal that the ending itself is the least offensive aspect of that shitshow

>domestic

>One piece is tanking
>But aot going from 12m to 6m sales is not tanking lmao

So teasing for their future fights since this one isn't allowed to go anywhere and teasing for future Rox flashback then? Got it.

Your manga is dying, OPfags

Big, if true.
It was a good run.

>Single-handedly salvage the main plot line
>Brings wider perspectives to the story

>Marines are not just playing tag with pirates
>Gives a meaningful purpose to the SH's goal
>Currently if she dies no One Piece

>Cleavage and autism

She undoubtedly has potential. But Oda isn't using it at all since Enies Lobby aside of Poseidon reveal but even this was just a lore dump for far future. Also, Luffy is developing VoAT anyway. So he probably could get One Piece without her.

Haven't read or seen past when he finally beat Flamingo. Are there still 4 Kings, 3 Generals and 7 Pirate Lords or has shit changed too much?

Luffy was dubbed the 5th Emperor (but then was dabbed on hard by Kaido), but we're taking him down this arc, Doflamingo and Law were never replaced and the whole system is supposedly about to be abolished.

I now noticed I screwed the parentheses up, they shouldn't be there.

>Doflamingo and Law were never replaced and the whole system is supposedly about to be abolished.
Yeah, I was wondering how long they would keep that up with Luffy basically knocking them off needing replacement and around half allying with him too.
Who are the 3 Generals in the Marines now? I remember it used to be lava/ice/light but recall one quit and the other promoted to head of the whole Marines.

Luffy was supposed to finish one of the 4 grand lines to gain the sight. In Zou Nami acknowledges that they took a shortcut and don't need it (because Robin can decipher poneglyphs). There is the road poneglyph too recently which again foreshadows the conclusion of One Piece. She's the main trigger to progress the plot.

Attached: Robin.jpg (401x269, 115K)

Marines conducted a worldwide draft over the timeskip and recruited 2 Admirals with gravity based abilities and plant based abilites.

She's useless, user. You'll just have to come to terms with that.

Attached: Useless Robin.png (867x418, 206K)

Oh right, I remember briefly seeing the gravity guy at the tail end of the Flamingo arc. What's the plant guy's fruit called? It like a logia or zoan or does he just control plants?

>Oh right, I remember briefly seeing the gravity guy at the tail end of the Flamingo arc
He was there since practically the beginning, user (first fighting Law with Doflamingo). And he's the driving force behind abolishing shichibukai.
>What's the plant guy's fruit called? It like a logia or zoan or does he just control plants?
The plant thing is just popular headcanon. All we know about him is that he's called Ryokugyu (Greenbull) and that he didn't eat for 3 years. So basically green + not eating lead people to photosynthesis assumption.

a bunch of useless information
.>How is Robin useless?
She doesn't fight. She doesn't contribute anything to the crew. All she does is read a book in the background

Robin will only translate the eight digits and again become useless. Thanks to Nami and the rest of the crew, they will sail to Raftel.

He's been announcing that the series is going to end in 2-5 years since 2010.

A-user-kun-tachi... if Stampede is doing so good and Wano is so well received why didn't the anime ratings pick up yet? What's our excu... I mean, what's the explanation for this... opbros...

They are "tanking" because people switched to digital you fucking retard

The joke went way over your head. Robin is top notch at gathering crucial intel but in the end it's Nami the improved kunoichi who reads Nardo before bed that catches wind of the Wano seastone deals.
She's the mature feminine figure of the crew. Her personality is cool, calm and collected.
>All she does is read a book in the background
It's like saying all Zoro does is sleeping on the deck and buttheading with Sanji.
>Robin will recenter the story on the main plot AGAIN
Wow truly useless

Remember the Gorosei, the 5 leaders of the World Government? Well, turns out they all take orders from a shadowy figure called "Im/Imu". Shit couldn't be more retarded.

The formula changed with the timeskip or more specifically after Sabaody. It feels like Oda is trying to imitate the Impel Down + Marineford arcs, but by doing so he is destroying the pacing of the manga. Impel Down and Marineford worked because the readers were already somewhat familiar with a lot of the characters participating in the war. Another thing that helped was that there were no Strawhats besides Luffy in both arcs. Oda could focus on Luffy and the side characters, he didn't need to constantly show where the other Strawhats are. The small standalone character arcs were separate stories and didn't affect the pacing of the main arcs, they're basically interludes.

What bites Oda in the ass is that he kept most of the Yonkou mysterious. Now he tries to do these big arcs without a properly planned build up, (And no,YONKOU strong!!! isn't proper build up.) which forces him to do lots of characterization for dozens of new characters. And since he wants to create the feeling of big and important wars, he also needs to introduce lots of allies. Which in most cases are new characters, which also need characterization. This fucks up the entire pacing.
Ironically, I would say that the movies are the best thing Oda has written since the timeskip. The format restricts him in a way that doesn't allow many of his big weaknesses to manifest.

It's really not true. At least it's not the whole truth. If this was the case, then the sales wouldn't be moving up and down. And they've been zig-zagging since we entered Wano. Or do you think new readers arrive, buy one physical copy and then switch to digital?

No other manga series had such abysmal drops such as One Piece, cocksucker. There are plenty of series that are doing better than ever. Unless you're retarded and thinks the One Piece fanbase is the only one that switched to digital.

>take GoT's ending. Was it bad?
It was so fucking bad and rushed it retroactively ruined the earlier seasons for me.

>Unless you're retarded and thinks the One Piece fanbase is the only one that switched to digital.
Actually, when you think about it, it's kinda likely it's the other way around, isn't it? With how old OP is, it probably has substantial boomer audience who'll keep reading it the traditional way. Also, if yo have 90 physical volumes of something, you may be prompted to complete the collection, even if you buy other things digital now. Not saying no one in OP fanbase is switching as it's surely false, but if I was to bet, then I'd bet OP is one of the shonen fanbases which switches the least (percentage-wise).

you think OP is not popular outside of Japan (if you dont count tastless burger)?

yeah Carrot is cute

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 89K)

You can claim it's tanking all you want but new volumes still sells over 2 million copies per average which is still better than how new volumes were selling physically pre-2009. And from a general observation, it's typically AoT and OP that lead in Digital sales in JP. So, yes it's absolutely a factor.

Saying it's unpopular would be an overstatement, but I just looked at Gold's box office numbers, it grossed ~70 million $, ~50 of which is Japan. As a trivia, 16 of remaining 20 millions is from China. For comparison, Broly has 120 million worldwide, with just a little over a quarter of this coming from Japan.

Spoilers from the new chapter

Poor bait, at least put updated sales, volume 92 and volume 93 already surpased the 2M

Those are sales of the week and vol 93 is "old", post the total sales, I'm willing to bet that one piece's volume sells better than the others combined.

Retarded fight fag nigger secondaries jumping on the series when all the other garbage ended

Do you have to be so mean, user? Are you a mean person? Do you want to be remembered as a mean person? Is that what you want to be written on your tombstone: "here lies user, he was a big meanie"?

Hah upvoted!

One Piece is a fight manga, cum dumpster.

Unlikely unless ODA abandons Luffy for several Arcs, but that is impossible for him.

It's just going through too many transition chapters, and the Wano wank is ridiculous. The amount of foreshadowing for such an important island is limited to almost only Zoro. Look at shit like how they introduced Oden or Ace's involvement with Wano. This stuff wasn't foreshadowed at all, it just came out of fucking nowhere.

It just reeks of Oda never having intended the Wano arc being as long but decided to shove a bunch of nip shit he found interesting into it. You can tell the core of it is Zoro/Hiyori/Kaido/Big Mom and maybe fit in Law as the red herring betrayal, but guys like Tonoyasu, Hyogoro, the Scabbards, etc etc, are just fucking literal whos.

Other anons have said it right, it's kind of like Skypiea when they spend time on the cannon fodder, but at least those cannon fodder immediately get into fights and get taken down. There's nothing much to drag on about and only Wiper, the actually important Skypean, gets more time in the spotlight.

And naturally on Yea Forums nobody is gonna enjoy the obvious bias and wanking of Wano samurai over all the other islands. It's basically presented that Wano is stronger than Elbaf/Kano/Fishman Island/etc etc all combined. Even an island with a warlord like Amazon Lily would be no match considering the only person there who could put up a fight would be Hancock. And yet this is an island currently being oppressed by Kaido too, just imagine its golden age.

It's fine if the nip shit is all over the place like Bleach or Naruto, but if it's confined to a tiny ass island and barely connected to the story until 900+ chapters in, it just gives off a distasteful image of bias, especially in a series where the core aesthetics was western pirates.

If they played it up with more foreshadowing and connections across the earlier chapters this wouldn't be nearly as bad. People love shit like a nip or chink or gook martial artist getting isekai'd to the western world and going Jackie Chan on everything, but this sucks.

Oda's godawful artstyle has finally been exposed

I don't like how the underlings/commanders have all been jokes/fodder recently. Doflamingo was cool, but all of his family were pushovers. Big mom's family is now literally a gag. Queen is dope, but his recent portrayal makes me think he isn't going to have a serious fight. The last time a crewmember had a challenging full fight was probably Franky vs Pink.
Zoro - Last challenging 1v1 was maybe Kaku
Nami - Kalifa
Usopp - Can't complain since he did useful stuff in Dressrosa
Sanji - Jabra.
Chopper - Kumadori
Robin - Diamante (really it was Kyros)
Franky - Senior Pink
Brook - Can't complain since he was great during WCI

>fight nigger making a list
Now THIS is dope bruh

Reminder that One Piece is a battle manga.

Cant wait for shanks vs white beard vs big mom vs kaido vs the admirals bros...gon be that straight fire yo

You may not like fightfags, user. But it is a battle manga. Always has been, always will be.

Remember that time when Luffy solved all of his problems with diplomacy and dialogue instead of fighting? Yeah, me neither cumrag

No, robin is just an old, useless and annoying whore.

>It's like saying all Zoro does is sleeping on the deck and buttheading with Sanji.

That's right. But Zoro is strong, and robin is a weak piece of shit. And Zoro sometimes works as a lookout, but robin only eats and poops

>Robin will recenter the story on the main plot AGAIN
translate eight digits of the coordinate and then give them to Nami, who will lead the ship to Raftel - It's just part of the team work, and very small. I say AGAIN, Robin is useless. She's the most useless crewmember.

not that I'm surprised but it's good that this thread proved one piece fans are the same type of people to watch game of the thrones

good to know it's just a simple case of bad taste next time I start questioning myself if I'm really wrong about this manga being so boring and the writing so stupid

Oda probably didn't even draw that. Backgrounds are drawn by his interns

I can't wait for Luffy to convince Kaido to abandon his evil ways with a nice, long talk, bro. It's gonna be so awesome. Then, Momonosuke will talk Orochi out of the throne and all the samurai will quit fighting, and Wano will become a pacifist utopia and the most diplomatic country on Earth. Gonna be totally sick, bro...

Killing yourself should be the one who believes the old whore Robin useful. So you're gonna have to kill yourself, you stupid faggot.

>best Navigator in the world
Really? What are her credentials? What did she ever do that sets her apart from the any other navigator in the New World? Even Bepo is proven to be better than her.

The rest of your post is just pure nonsense. It was acknowledged that if the Yonko discovered Robin's ability to read poneglyphs they'd all kill themselves to get her. Dumb, dumb namiposter.

Ferme ta gueule un peu, putain d'autiste.

It's Ok if you're a fightfag, but why are you following OP knowing that the Story/World building will always have more significance over fights ?

The author wrote Strong World's scenario, and the whole plot happened because a legendary Pirate wanted Nami's ability.

>Really? What are her credentials? What did she ever do that sets her apart from the any other navigator in the New World? Even Bepo is proven to be better than her.

She defeated a whole Shiki crew. She saved SH many times. What did Bepo? Drew a crooked map?

>The rest of your post is just pure nonsense. It was acknowledged that if the Yonko discovered Robin's ability to read poneglyphs they'd all kill themselves to get her. Dumb, dumb namiposter.

Yonko for 20 years did not care about robin because she useless trash. Even now, they don't give a damn about her. Dumb, dumb robinposter. Robin's a useless piece of shit. Facts.

sucer bite, imbécile.

This but unironically.
But still I can’t wait for the epic Robin vs Imu conquerors haki sky splitting clash over the last poneglyph bruhs

If you really believe that you don't understand shit about the story. The final fight against Imu start after they have found every single poneglyphs and learnt about the Void Century.

So hype is tanking in Japan too? i thought "maybe" they care more about all those new characters because of folklore or something like that and only the westerners view it as a slog.

the last arc i found that dragging was skypia, because it had no connection to the world. Now this has 2 yonkous in the same place, brawling it out, and i am bored out of my mind. Oda really messed up here. It escapes my mind. he even splitted the strawhat crew on Wholecake because there never was enough paneltime for the characters as is, and now we have a dozen legendary samurai, ninjas, yakuza dead and living with no chance to make emotional impact whatsoever. That grinning guy on the cross. That was his name right? That was supposed to be big, but there was just not enough time.

every arc needs emotional buildup, but this time it really is devouring itself. Somemone MUST have told oda that no one will be able to keep emotionally connected. this would even drag without OP being on break all the time.

Grah. Sneed venting over.

Ok speed reader lol

conquerors haki? robin dies like a cheap whore

Remember when Smoker arrested Crocodile, bro? No fights in that arc, just the legal system in action. So awesome! And when Luffy convinced Moriah to stop stealing shadows with just a friendship speech? So moving, I almost cried bro. One Piece is such a smart manga.

Yep, way more significant. I mean, the main characters solve all of their problems using their fists, but hey, we know the height and age of almost every character! Awesome lore lol

Nu-Luffy looks bad

Why are there like 3 OP threads up at any given time?

>Now this has 2 yonkous in the same place, brawling it out, and i am bored out of my mind.
I think this sums up Wano perfectly.
Big Mom and Kaido are currently fighting each other and I couldn't give less of a fuck. This should be a big event, but Oda managed to make it extremely bland. Wano is a big fuck up

because its the King

L'idiot est ton mari. robin putain inutile

I think it comes down to no one believing anything could come out of it. It will be inconclusive. They won't even be allowed to go all out of-screen, so some surprises are left for Kaido's final battle. It's literally Shanks vs. WB of the New World, not Ace vs Blackbeard.

Motherfuckin Oda has been cockteasing me with Vegapunk and them Devil Fruits for fucking 11 years now! I just wanna know WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE FUCKING FRUITS!

>I just wanna know WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE FUCKING FRUITS
Literally the midichlorians of One Piece.
We don't need to know how Devil Fruits work. It's an example of Oda overexplaining shit. I really hope Oda leaves the Devil Fruits alone when Vegapunk appears (but we know he won't)

The only bad thing nowadays is how our point of view isn't that of the crew anymore. It doesn't feel like we are living the adventures of the MCs anymore, it feels like i'm watching new characters i don't care about stealing the screentimes of the crew i've been caring about for years now. Like why should i care about Pedro, nekomamushi and Pound on whole cake without knowing shit about them ? Why should i care about Kawamatsu or sonic the fucking hedgehog ? Strawhats seems so disconnected from everything nowadays, they feel like spectators.

>I really hope Oda leaves the Devil Fruits alone when Vegapunk appears

I don't especially with the hints that they could potentially be man made and something thats naturally occuring, Law hints at it affecting DNA, and yet in animate objects can be injected with Devil Fruits, something thats been somewhat of a mystery since Alabasta.

Hope you're trolling cuz it's just sad and your arguments suck. Robin is by far the mugiwara that pushed the main plot forward the most. That's how she's useful, Oda needs her to drop the big lorepills. This alone makes her interesting. If anything it's powerlevel shonen fags who should kill themselves. Her role as a pirate is gathering intel / spying / assassination. Sadly she hasn't brought much for a while (Wano Geisha lel) but I bet she will be redeemed with the marijoa/revolutionary arc.

>Nami's best feat is not even canon
lmfao what a pathetic fucking character
as per canon: bepo >>>>>>>>>>>>> namikek

not even ravid fanboy normalfags defended game of thrones' ending

My arguments are perfect, but the arguments of Robintards suck.robin did nothing for the plot. She almost never says what is written in poneglyphs. All her information is absolutely useless and obvious. She's a terrible spy who easily got caught by Oniwabanshu. She doesn't fight. She doesn't contribute anything to the crew. This is just a trash character with one function. But one action doesn't make up for 20 years of being a useless slut.

Attached: 1aY7P0W.jpg (1601x1376, 242K)

Shiki was in the manga and the script was written by Oda, fagot. Nami is the best navigator and best One Piece character. robin is useless whore with ugly face.

Nobody feels threatening anymore. The strawhats managed to invade Big Mom's territory with all her commanders present, and she couldn't even capture/kill a single one. It's not even about them being strong or weak, it's just that Oda makes them so incompetent that it's hard to get excited for them. I couldn't picture the strawhats getting away with these antics with Blackbeard or Whitebeard the same way they do with Kaido and Big Mom.

Your arguments are
>i dont like her
>lol fights
>she's only good to decipher road poneglyphs
The roadponeglyphs alone are already big enough. But she brought up ancient weapons (world gov threat / one piece) and the lost century (origin of piratery / lineage / will of D) which are basically the endgame. But ye who cares about the conclusion of the story I mean lol.
>She's a terrible spy who easily got caught
Idk wtf is Oda doing in Wano tbqh. He made a joke about the spy trained 2 years by the toppest secret organization being bad. Clearly missed the shot on his most autistic readers apparently.

Attached: Robin_Chopper.png (396x1002, 330K)

Yeah, Big Mom won't kill Kaido and Kaido won't kill Big Mom either. They'll probably appear exausted in the next chapter or so, agree to kill Luffy together, maybe reminisce a little about their past and then proceed to do nothing for the next 30 chapters or so

It's all so boring and formulatic. No stakes, dumb bad guys that refuse to take Luffy seriously, and the Straw Hat crew behave as if at this point, they knew that they're the main characters and that no harm will come down on them.

Still non-canon, dumb namiposter. The only time Nami was ever useful was when she made Cracker's biscuits wet, That's it, Her shining moment of glory. Robin is the key to finding the One Piece and dumb orange-haired moneyslut ain't never going to reach Raftel without Robin telling her where to go. Your navigator is useless.

reminder that Nami is lesbian

>No stakes, dumb bad guys that refuse to take Luffy seriously, and the Straw Hat crew behave as if at this point, they knew that they're the main characters and that no harm will come down on them.
To be fair, they ARE the main characters in-universe. Luffy's and Zoro's luck and destiny are actual plot point since Loguetown. Law acknowledged the fact when fighting Doflamingo. It might seem shitty, but there's no point denying it, Luffy is the chosen one, the gods' champion etc. etc.

Nope.

One is the main discussion thread.
Other two are "hate" threads.
Maybe so they can point at them and say "See? One Piece is shit and it's popularity is waning! There's TWO threads talking about how it's shit!" or something.

when you do 2000 episodes and some fuck all ridiculous amount of chapters of something then things will go wrong time and time again, a fake universe can't be masterfully crafted enough to make that amount of material with one main character for the entire ride good imo, will continue to drop shit like this and berserk and hxh that just gets dragged out with no direction or with indecisive cuck authors in favor of short, sweet and refined material

>will continue to drop shit like this and berserk and hxh
I thought you were a bro up to this point, but that's a big YIKES from me.

and there is nothing wrong with that

If anything the hate threads are sign of ots popularity. Why make hate threads for a series that is unpopular? No one would care.

One Piece is better when Big Mom is on screen.

Prove me wrong.

Well, WCI was her arc and it was absolute shit, so you're wrong

Oden has been foreshadowed since Punk Hazard. Aces involvement since marine ford. You’re an idiot.

>Oden has been foreshadowed since Punk Hazard
wat

There were hints Momonosuke is hiding his real identity and Kin's not his actual father. Given this, the most logical assumption was Momo being a noble and the son of Kin's boss. People were predicting it since back then.

See ^^^. You guys need everything spoonfed to you.

Nah, you're talking out your ass. The only foreshadow in PH is Kinemon's dislike of dragons. Provide scans or gtfo

Look at those pictures

Momonosuke's boxes aren't scrolls, they're normal boxes Oda uses, despite him being Wanonese like the other two. People took it back then as a hint something's wrong here, that the boxes are in fact lying and we're still about to get some proper ones. And 4 years or so later, they were proven right.

I want to smell Nami's asshole

>Nami is the best navigator
oh yeah it takes so much skill to follow the arrow on the magic compass that always points to your destination

WCI could've shaked things up by having the Sanji conflict having permanence and Mom taking down Jimbei, WSJ also ruined The Promised Neverland in this fashion too.

Disagree. Specifically about the reality warping, Sugar etc are bad enough, BM is fucking insane. The general problem with these powers in one piece is because they are just so broken they /should/ have already taken over. The narrative is king here, not the powers and their interplay, the mistake has always been going to large in scale, going any further just diminishes my understanding of how they haven't fucking won already. Look at BB, fucker nullifies other fruits and can literally sink or shatter entire landmasses, he should have completely taken over the NW, or the fucking planet (if he was so inclined). The same goes for bonkers tier powers like Foxy, fucker slows people, but in the hands of someone who wants to kill, that's instant win (this also extends to the general idea that so many characters could OHKO, but just don't because battle shounen).

Centering powers around augmented flashy brawling should have been the series gimmick.

GoT was ruined in S4. Technically they fucked it in S2 when Tyrion told Bron and whore about her way too early. Adding Tywin chats with Arya made no sense, he knew Arya was MIA from KL post killing Ned, and then there's this clearly high born northerner girl, shit talking to lords, when such and act would get your head lopped off, she also knows too much. Then she's forgotten in Tyrion's pivotal scene. It was a laughing to stock to be from S5 to the end.

Doffy was a group effort anyway, Only Kata was a 1v1, hell Cracker was a 2v1. Kaido will be a team fight, even if Luffy is the only one who can use the advanced armament to actually hurt Kaido/BM, the rest of the crew/alliance can stall/distract to allow Luffy those hits. It's nice we saw this power as far back as Sabaody.

Yeah, But Doffy still ended in one-on-one for the last round. And Kaido will likely be the same, I don't think any big boss wasn't defeated like this, Morgan, Buggy or Jack might have ended differently, but Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, Moria, Hody, Doffy all finished fighting Luffy alone in the last stage of the fight even if they had some other opponents earlier, most of the minor arc antagonist were like this too, by the way.

>Backgrounds are drawn by his interns
You mean like every weekly manga?

Let's go over this conversation again
>Oda art bad
>yeah how 'bout that
>he probably didn't draw this
>yeah like every weekly mangaka
Don't you think someone dun guffed here, user?

It's sad she's a plot device and didn't quite get the comradely of the first 6. But that's also her largely stoic personality, though shared with Zoro, but he works better because he's often the straight man for jokes. Franky has more personality, but again he's also a plot device later for vegapunk/world ending tech. Their backstories are just as important (if not more so) than Luffy's in the larger world story.

Even if Oda slowed the story down as far back as EL (not for battles, but endless chapters of talking, SoL etc), it would balloon far beyond 30 years, and people want more from side characters each arc since they often feel disposable (same for the alliance), seriously people if he wanted to flesh everything out it could be 40-50 years with the current pace, it's already going to be 30. We can either go fast to get the original core world revolution/mystery or take an eternity to flesh everything out as well as pre-TS was.

It's generally agreed upon in the fanbase that while the timeskip started weak, it's only been getting better each arc. Dunno where you're getting this from. There was a poll around chapter 945 where 86% agreed we're back at pre-ts level.

>Franky has more personality, but again he's also a plot device later for vegapunk/world ending tech.
Franky isn't a plot device. The difference between Franky and Robin isn't just personality. It's their role in the plot. Robin didn't get anything comparable to Franky vs Pink since EL. Throughout Dressrosa she only played second fiddle to other people. Just like PH. In FI she only got some loredump. Etc. She also never formed any unique bond with anyone outside the crew (not counting revos but that was off-screen), she's the only Straw Hat like this.

Didn't those spoilers from his manuscripts show that wano was 2-3 times thicker than marineford? And marineford was introduction central like the most arcs, it also shat out lots of lore, he's also said that "Wano will dwarf marineford". It's just that his method of setup this time is slower because the clusterfuck hasn't started. There's too much going on in the story and people on both extremes are making noise. "It's too fucking slow and boring, I don't care about new characters" and "It's too fucking fast he's off paneling things and not showing us other crew members".

Is OP still weirdly popular in France? It had that Eva thing last month as well.

>GoT's ending. Was it bad? Hard to say
Literally every aspect besides music and cinematography of the ending was bad. They fucked up character arcs, subverted expectations to the point of pure viewer hatred and the writing was so bad that even the most normie of normies could pick up on it. Hell you could see the quality go down each season after 4 (S7 was just as bad as 8 honestly). it deserves the title of worst TV ending and i'm glad those two hacks are getting a lot worse of a back lash than they could of imagined.

Magic hopefully. But the inanimate object thing makes it seem more tech. The series really fucked it up either way. At first their the freaky 'holyshit you have one, never seen one before', then they bounce around as incredibly common to 'it's actually shit and being a brawler is just as good'.

We saw none in Norland flashback, so they could be recent, but they'd also need to have been around for a 100~ years, Carmel and older. Yet young enough that there's no full catalog/fully understood.

>cope

That's not Bonney.

My personal solution would be don’t throw so much shit into one arc but Oda works in mysterious ways

i mean maybe the japanese love it, but it feels weird to see so much fucking wank for a particular part of their own history. oda's done it plenty of times already and the fillers have been doing it for several years at this point with all the boss luffy shit but now there's an entire arc to these tropes?

i mean jesus imagine if some long-running US cartoon kept jerking off the wild west period out of fucking nowhere every few years. that's basically what one piece is doing now.

>Why make billions when we can make millions?

Attached: 1.jpg (300x318, 9K)

Starting One Piece now, should I watch dub or sub? Or Should I just start the manga?

Read the manga and watch your favorite moments/fights animated the anime has terrible pacing and animation most of the time.

I rather love the early OP anime, skip the filler. The pacing takes a complete nose dive during EL and never recovers. It's slower but I just enjoy the VAs and early charm.

You should watch the anime just a little to read the manga with the right voices for the characters in your mind

Animation is terrible, I'll just keep reading the manga until episode 300+

>I'll just keep reading the manga until episode 300+
The animation gets even worse after 300 despite being higher resolution.

>take GoT's ending. Was it bad? Hard to say

Fuck no, it's easy to say: yes, it was bad.

>once the real luffy and kaido fight starts

I hope it delivers. I know One Piece is about world-building and stuff, but I want more power level bullshit. Luffy should be able to sink an island of several miles of lenght when he defeats Kaido, because the latter is supposed to be one of the final bosses. The dials should go up to 11. I was mildly dissapointed with how few destruction there was at the Luffy vs Katakuri fight.

>Kubo's "Character Clusterfuck Crisp"

Does it taste better than Frosted Flakes?

At that point you might not even bother. They adapt around a chapter per episode and it gets only worse from there. It's not how you want to experience it. Especially coming from the manga (if you'd watch anime, the pacing goes to hell gradually).

>I know One Piece is about world-building and stuff
It's a meme. World building is just a background, action, drama and comedy are more important elements.

wano is a pleb filter

You can stop dreaming. Luffy won't 1v1 Kaido.

Yep. If you like it, you're a pleb.

filtered

>One Piece is about world-building
What "world-building"? All the secrets about the Lost Century and the Moon People that we know nothing about because Oda refuses to tell us?

All Shonenfags need to migrate back to Yea Forums.

Yes, you clearly were.

>What "world-building"?

The one where all the secondary characters still have some relevance, interact between each other, interact with the world they're in and are somewhat important even after years of their appearences.

That worldbuilding, which makes the One Piece world feel like it's alive.

This

Post-TS in general is a pleb filter. New World is all about heading towards endgame, yet brainlets want MUH CUMFEE ARCS. I liked Little Garden, Davy Back and Thriller Bark as much as the next guy but fucking come on.

Watch right until the band gets 7 (permanent) members total, then read the manga.

Oh yeah, it's so great to see irrelevant side character #986 show off their one personality trait while narrating the same backstory that every single fucking character in this shit series has. The fact that the strawhat are the only people that seem to acomplish anything in this story is also soo fucking good. Not to say how convienient their timing always is, they always get on a island just as the villain is putting their plan on motion.

No its the many different factions/characters that function independently from the straw hats that make the world feel alive and real. This is also why the post arc chapters are always kino.

1. Take Oda's cock out of your mouth
2. Everybody understands we're heading towards the endgame, the problem is that the build up never ends, the lack of focus on the Straw Hat crew and their growth, the endless side characters that no one gives a shit about, the lack of stakes and the fact that instead of solving the past mysteries, Oda just keeps adding more

One Piece is much like that tv show "Lost" now. All build up, mysteries, secrets and more mysteries, and in the end it all crumbles down because the writer(s) can't live up to the hype they built up themselves

Oda hasn't really added anything to the world that wasn't there pre timeskip though if anything all the characters he has introduced post timeskip exists for the purpose of explaining everything that hasnt been yet. You sound like someone that marathonned all of pre timeskip in one go and then was surprised at how slow the pacing was when you caught up when in reality it has always been like this.

>the lack of focus on the Straw Hat crew and their growth
WCI did this pretty well for Nami, Brook and if he counts Jinbei at least. Usopp outright regressed in Dressrosa though.

one piece done have almost any promotion outside japan this is the main reason

Syrup village is true kino. Anyone who denies it is a faggot. Kuro is a perfect villain, his backstory is a real tear jerker that reminds you of how one's dreams can outrun them. However the excellent writing done to convey how truly magnificent syrup village creates conflict. The people, stricken by a heavy monsoon have to resort to eating each other and raping any amatuer pirates. During the great dying kuro had to sacrifice his own man hood to have a chance at saving his mother.

When I die I want it to be a slow fade into the syrup village arc.

>Oda hasn't really added anything to the world that wasn't there pre timeskip
There's lot of new shit post-TS. The most important being Imu, that came out of nowhere and changes almost everything we knew about the WG,. the "National Treasure" of the Tenryuubito that may or not be a giant Straw Hat, a giant elephant that walks forever because someone told him to and Red Poneglyphs..

> The most important being Imu, that came out of nowhere and changes almost everything we knew about the WG
No it doesn't we always knew the WG was controlled by a something higher up we saw many times pre timeskip where the WG was forced to do things they didnt want to. Imu explains that.
>a giant elephant that walks forever because someone told him to and Red Poneglyphs..
These are just connections and more pieces of the puzzle that is the void century. Again almost everything he has introduced are just pieces and explanations to shit we needed explained.

>No it doesn't we always knew the WG was controlled by a something higher up we saw many times pre timeskip where the WG was forced to do things they didnt want to. Imu explains that.
No. Up until the timeskip it was very clear that the Gorosei were the leaders of the world with no one above them

>These are just connections and more pieces of the puzzle that is the void century
They'd be "pieces of the puzzle" if they helped us to understand the void century better. but they just raise more questios

>Up until the timeskip it was very clear that the Gorosei were the leaders of the world with no one above them
Did you completely skip Sabaody Archipelago? It was clearly stated that the celestial dragons were higher than them on the picking order and that they were decedents of the original 19 kings it is not surprising that a forced like Imu would have to exist to keep the WG(and supposedly the dragons to a certain extent) in line and keep them in power if anything it helps explain how the WG got into the state it is now.
>They'd be "pieces of the puzzle" if they helped us to understand the void century better. but they just raise more questios
They really don't raise anymore question they more just give more insight as to what the people of the void century were doing its obvious they were preparing for something huge which is evidenced by the existence of Zunisha and Noah.

Honestly writing Carrot out of Wano was a mistake. I know hundreds of people that only picked up this series because of the cute rabbit girl. Once she disappeared it's not a coincidence that ratings plummeted.

one piece is the same as it's always been, except getting bigger in scale/consequences. The only difference is all of its contemporaries ended or are ending so shitposters are jumping on ship and bitching about shit that has always been par for the course for one piece. Literally can't imagine these people waiting for the weekly releases during arcs like skypeia

Paper textured art is 100% to blame. It's never worked in any anime ever. In fact watercolor has always been a 2nd rate medium compared to oils.

She predicts the weather, moron

Oda came up with it, that means canon, stupid robintard. Nami was always useful, for example, she saved everyone from the cyclone. Nami is constantly working on the deck. Old dumb whore Robin just eats and poops because she's a useless piece of shit. Your archaeologist useless shit. She was never the key. Even Yonko spit on a trash named robin

No, my arguments: she is useless because she does nothing.

>The roadponeglyphs alone are already big enough. But she brought up ancient weapons (world gov threat / one piece) and the lost century (origin of piratery / lineage / will of D) which are basically the endgame. But ye who cares about the conclusion of the story I mean lol.

All this will be at the end of the manga. But that is not a fact. And now robin is useless. And always been garbage.

>Idk wtf is Oda doing in Wano tbqh. He made a joke about the spy trained 2 years by the toppest secret organization being bad. Clearly missed the shot on his most autistic readers apparently.

Nah. Oda just wanted to show that robin is an incompetent and dumb, useless whore

She predicts the weather, moron

DBS was awful, World Trigger was boring, and One Piece is just okay. Kitaro is pretty great though.

If she's so great then why did she let the Sunny get sucked by a water vortex when the crew entered Wano?

You blind moron? Because of Luffy who grabbed the carps. Carps dragged the ship into a whirlpool on top of a mountain

The manga looks like shit too

All Straw Hats are cool. Well, except robin ofc

You got filtered

So you like dogshit smeared messes for panels? You’re such a pleb

Stop being such a fucking pseud
New readers (if there are any) are the only ones enjoying this borefest that is Wano because everything is new to them. Old readers are the ones that can see more clearly how the series is declining in quality, and are starting to get fed up with Oda and this bullshit manga that should have ended at least 5 years ago.

>Old readers are the ones that can see more clearly how the series is declining in quality,
This isn't even remotely true shitposter-kun

>I don't see how Luffy can fight Kaido at this point and it seem satisfying and not a total asspull.

Nightmare Luffy?

>marines like Smoker,

Do you even know where Oda is going with Smoker?

This is bait.

Only you think that.

Read the manga.

HELLO
WILL I BE ABLE TO READ ONE PIECE SOON OR ARE WE HAVING A SUNDAY RELEASE AGAIN

>"you disagree with me? SHITPOSTER XD"
Man, autists like you are the reason why I won't touch One Piece general threads with a ten foot pole

>says something retarded with no basis in reality
>WHAT THE FUCK DUDE WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME A SHITPOSTER
Yes please stay away from the one piece threads we already have enough retards shitting it up we don't need another.

The problem is that Oda is literally reusing skeletons for his backstories and arcs and it's a major fucking pain to read
>Person I loved/treated me well/helped me when no one else would died, I must honour their final wishes
>island number two million something something we used to be ruled by a benevolent ruler, but then this faggot came over and now we live under their dictatorship
I don't need a backstory for every fucking mook we encounter no matter how sad or touching
Kaido is the end goal of this arc but we have seen tragically little of how they are actually going to accomplish defeating him, and all we've seen of him pretty much amounts to "show up for three pages and blow the fuck out of luffy and co and then fuck off back to being an alcoholic"

it's here.

a good one, look how many (You)s that guy got.

>shimotuski ushimaru
Man I absolutely WONDER who this could be.
(not)

God damn I wish I were in Yea Forums when marineford happened. Every chapter was crazy hype and people can jerk off just by reading. Full of kino and epic moments. Now we only have like 1 hype chapter out of 5

marineford was shit everyone just stood around

Which films has toei made in the last century that were that successful?

I judge popularity based on how much doujins get scanned. One piece hasn't had doujins scanned for a while so therefore it's unpopular

Got damn it stop doing FGO/ship doujins

>>Person I loved/treated me well/helped me when no one else would died, I must honour their final wishes
Inherited will is one of the main themes of the story, so I don't mind this.
>>island number two million something something we used to be ruled by a benevolent ruler, but then this faggot came over and now we live under their dictatorship
This one however, yeah. Especially that it isn't just island taking over, but large scale propaganda against "rightful" rulers too with former kings being hated and the princesses in need of rescuing. Mirroring Alabasta with Dressrosa was okay (though the arc was marred with other problems), going at it the third time... not so much. For all its flaws, WCI at least tried to be different structured than the other arcs.

>What the Hell went wrong
Terrible pacing and a need to address every logic of the world it's set in instead of conserving detail into summations. It's like a Harry Potter book where not a single day of the school year is skipped.
