Because it's fucking trash. Literally spend 12 whole episodes doing nothing of importance only to have the whole conflict rendered irrelevant by the end. Primary overarching conflict is barely touched on. Characters suck ass (Saying you're the strongest in the world over and over is not a personality). Action scenes are a snooze fest. Music is forgettable.

Underrated my ass, it deserves to be forgotten.

I wouldn't have been as disappointed if they advertised it from the start that it's a mystery story. Episode 1 set it up as "adventurers going off to kill the Big Bad" and it never came back to the plot point.

luckily I watched it after it aired and it was recommended as a mystery story to me, so I knew what I was going into
it still was kinda obvious but enjoyable, it seems the problem is that the marketing of it was wank and they really thought it would warrant a sequel despite being kind of overshadowed in its genre on that same season
still would like to see something like this again, there aren't many competent mystery shows and this one was alright

Adlet was genuinely an interesting character. The rest of it was mediocre. Any sort of mystery or suspense goes out the window when you have magical plot monsters that can ass pull whatever plot powers are needed to justify the story.

The author's got all kinds of mental issues, which is why there was a long delay between volumes 4 and 5. Presumably that's also the reason why he hasn't done the next volume yet. although I honestly haven't heard that for certain.

He's fucking stupid. Nothing he does has indicated he's particularly strong.

Bruh, he beat all the heroes and got them all on his side while revealing the traitor. That's impressive. Even acknowledged that by strength he meant overall capability, including his luck.

The pacing was fine. There wasn't the budget for too much more action anyway and what we did get was expertly crafted. It's a bit sad that Tgurneu was so heavily teased in both Adlet's and Fremy's backstories and in the OP but then never really showed up in the story.

Tgurneu's arc ended and the Seventh was revealed. Except there were two other fiends in his ballpark that opposed the braves one way or another. And there was the Majin (final boss) and a plot around that.

He was proably resourceful enough to kill all the braves with clever deployment of his subordinates and conventional tactics.

Six volumes in the series is in indefinite hiatus.

They all get their chance to shine and beat or hold off multiple heroes. Nachetanya gets ganged up on and manages to escape 1 v 4 at the end of vol I. Mora rekts the other braves in Vol II. Goldof in vol III. Chamot and Hans are repeatedly shown and stated to be the stongest two of the braves by far and typically do 2-3 braves worth of work in the fights. And Rolonia is a dumb cow.

A big part of the other braves accepting Adlet's leadership was the assertion that he probably wasn't a fake after the events of volume 1. Hans and Mora also take strong leadership roles and who's dominant depends on which volume we're talking about. Adlet is dependable because he often goes above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect of him. In terms of Charisma, Intelligence, Strength, Cunning, Strategical Thinking, Wisdom and other desirable traits in a leader there are others that have him beat.

All saints are women and not all saints are specialized in combat. It's also probably hard for saints to accrue as much combat experience as soldiers, assassins and other proffesional killers because of the institutional nature of sainthood.

The characters and setting were aesthetically unique, well designed and it was enjoyable to watch. OP 1&2 is great. I wish rokka no yuusha got more attention but it was unfortunately overshadowed by a lot of hyped shows that season. Like anons and others have said it shouldve adapted a second cour in the show, or maybe been aired on a quieter season lol.

Well they never really recover from the initial betrayal. They work together though, because her goal isn't completely evil, I even find it noble, but Adlet hates demons so peace with them isn't something he would agree to easily. I'm hoping he and the rest of the Braves can eventually understand that demons are obviously not completely evil and deserve peace too. Which would be the obvious endgame. Fremmy killed his sister as well, which is why he hates her. That's much smaller scale and more personal but I also hope he can at least become her friend again, even if not lover.
