I know that turn player has priority, but borreload's effect isn't for the rest of the turn and as far as I can tell it doesn't negate. So if Soulburner had like Mirror Force and Mirror Wall down, and Revolver activated Borreload's effect on attack declaration he could dodge the Mirror Force, but at a later step Soulburner could still activate the Mirror Wall.
So with the one card being Gazer, Revolver couldn't really get around it unless he could stop the trap from activating during the whole attack.

VRAINS is the total opposite of Arc-V.
Arc-V was extremely ambitious and had a strong start, but it had far too much to handle for 3 years of plot. After Arc-V spent almost a year in Synchro, they rushed Xyz, Fusion, and the final arcs, resulting in a horrible sendoff. Arc-V had a terrible ending.
This resulted in VRAINS having a very bare-bones story with minor character development. Only 6 or 7 characters in the series are actually relevant. Every major plot point in this show was wrapped up by the end of Season 2. The anime retconned SOL from being a legitimate threat to just a bystander faction with minimal influence in the story. One of the Ignis was retconned to being responsible for all of the important conflicts in Seasons 1 and 2 (both Hanoi wanting to wipe out the Ignis, and the events of the Lost Incident, were attributed to Lightning, the light Ignis.) Season 3 feels a lot like filler and waiting for VRAINS to end so the new anime can start next year. There is only one antagonist left (Ai), and that could end soon as a future episode preview states that Playmaker vs. Ai is the climax. I can't see VRAINS lasting another 8 months; it is definitely ending soon. Roboppy is gone. All that's left are Revolver vs. Soulburner, and Ai.

The concepts of AI sentience, corporate greed, charisma dueling, and virtual reality that the series established from the start were wiped away just to focus on the Ignis, Lost Incident, and the ramifications of both. Hanoi was just supposed to be a hacktivist group from the beginning, just a small portion of the larger story. But Hanoi encompasses about half of the story, with the other going to the Ignis. It's easier to wrap up a few loose ends with a minimal storyline and characters than to try to untangle a large mess that Arc-V eventually ended up with. Arc-V tried to be GX, 5D's, Zexal, and its own story all at once, and this caused the plot and characters to suffer immensely as new storylines and duelists were forcibly introduced for the purpose of being a compilation series. Arc-V went downhill with trying to emulate those past legacy series; it was fine to have that four summoning mechanic with all new characters, not shove down Jack, Ed, Crow, Kite, and imitation Yusei down our throats.
