What does Yea Forums think of Kingdom?

I don't see it talked around much here.

Its the type of manga that is very liked but only get mentioned in "ITT: kino panels" threads or 3x3's or the occasional chapter drop.

So does Yea Forums only talk show they can complain about?

kind of going the beserk-route of taking forever. of course there's a regular scheduled release so i can't say that.

the battles take quite a long time so it's hard to talk about it often. i did pick it up from Yea Forums tho

current arc is dragging

Yes, that or cute girls.

It's basically just the generic neverending battle shounen formula except with armies and troop movements instead of one-on-one martial arts techniques. Dropped years ago.

Feels very one note, nobody changes and 1v1 fights largely play out in the same few ways. I still like it for the unit tactics and army strategy though, that still manages to keep fresh and interesting when the story actually progresses

Well, new chapter is out. Not that we have much to discuss about, though. At least it seems this war is (slowly) approaching its end.

Does the fanbase want the real history to be followed? Honestly I wouldn't mind at all but some glorification may be necessary.

Also Ousen is the shit.

I hate Ouhonk honk

I fucking love that shit. It got recommended to me by someone on Yea Forums. I expected to dislike it.

I don't post about it because no one makes threads about it on Yea Forums and no one posts in any of its threads.

>I don't see it talked around much here.
Let's keep that way please. Not everyone is fan of fujo-wuxia.

>start reading Kingdom
>every name is in Chinese
>alright, I can deal with that, I'll just do my best trying to learn the names
>in the middle of one of the earliest arc the translation group changes
>the new group uses Japanese readings of the names

Tried it, but then Hawkwood came into my life and took its spot.

kingdom is a series i didnt expect to love as much as i do

Crécy soon.

i think i should properly try it. its one of the few series in existence that seems like it would properly scratch the itch for set piece battles with some actual effort put into the tactics and strategy but the artstyle is not too appealing.

It's absolute kino. It reinvents the shonen formula in an interesting way that makes it more complex.

I love it but current arc is dragging too much

I really like it but honestly it's just constant fighting with no downtime for years on end and that gets tiring.

It's good to binge but hard to follow weekly.

Yes, what’s the point otherwise?

it's a seinen though

I has been eons since I kept up with it, want to get back just to see what these 2 has been up together

Attached: BblPzt3.png (840x1200, 249K)

It's great but it's better for binging than reading week to week.

>hear only good things about this manga
>decide to finally give it a read
>600+ chapters
>motivation killed
is it worth it?

It's a great series, but I can never really find a reason to talk about it. It's just a rush of excitement with not much to really complain about.

I like kingdom a lot, but then i took a break at around chap 500 at the start of this arc so I could binge it later. And I just caught up recently but I think this current arc is meh and I don't enjoy it as much. Maybe it's just because of the arc itself is mediocre or my tastes have changed. Kanki is still best boy though

there is an anime with 2 season 38 episode long each, watch the first season and if it really hooks up you then either finish the anime and then keep reading the manga

Yes. Coalition Army arc is one of the most fucking exciting things you will read in your life, young user. I sincerely recommend it on that basis alone. The series isn't deep or very thought-provoking, but it is an incredibly fun read once you pass the first 10 chapters or so. It is endless climaxes and fun. Truly impressive.

Just remember, Zhao forever.

sorry, i don't watch anime. I only read manga nowadays

alright, i guess i'll read it after i finish reading SnK. Thanks

> W-w-watch the anime then decide

NO!

The anime is dreadful.

this is one of the few stuff is good to be animated since this series is like 70% of the time fights and such, the manga doesnt have that unf at first, its good when its outside of the fighting and engaging in what is going off politically and such wise

>people still read that abortion

>muh sakuga
at least the damn thing covered enough arcs

>people still read that abortion
yep, wanted to see what all the fuss was about, i'm enjoying it enough that i'll probably read through all the currently released volumes

Ousen is a selfish nigger

I just want to see Shin's estate. You don't get to be a 5000 man commander and still live in a fucking hovel. Show me his servants and him having to deal with civic duty before he runs off to the next war.

>Pedo as king
>Sickly thin
>""Chad""
Really embarrassing for Riboku to follow this shitstain of a king.

> not being a pedophile
> being fat
> implying any King can NOT be a Chad

Fuck off Qin Monkey. Go suck Mou Bou's tiny dick.

He has his own decent house, obviously.
But the lands he got are just there, uncared for.
The remaining money probably went to his armor and horse.

Tick Tock Zhao shitstain
Based Kanki is coming for your harem
Nice decoration for his arch

Kingdom is fucking great. I guess I'm a rare occurrence where I actually like this arc judging from this thread. Will say its getting pretty long though, but we are on the final day.

Didn't Shin historically get outshone by his more competent underlings though?

I don't know but even if he did what does that have to do with any part of my post?

Attached: D.jpg (640x480, 44K)

> Kanki
Just some overrated bandit faggot. He has no honor or a sense of duty.

Riboku-sama will end him if they ever directly clash, or Houken will simply make him feel the rath of a Buushin. Be grateful you have Ousen, you fucking Qin monkey. Without him, your nation would simply be an extension of the great state of ZHAO

Historical spoiler fags are just disgusting, pay him no mind user

Qin unites China btw

It's good. I usually read it in bulk though since the battles drag out too much otherwise.

Stay delusional shitstain
The day of Zhao reckoning is near

O MY INSTINCT TYPE GENERAL

Wait she dies? Around when? I'm not caught up.

Its bretty gud, some of the battles drag out but i think that is just me being impatient.
The size of the story its a bit daunting to new readers makes sense that you don't get that much discussion going.

Attached: 1565912250574.jpg (640x640, 172K)

Wow spoilers bro

Yes

I'm just waiting for the one page spread of anyone holding Riboku's head.

I was thinking to myself and I think this is the only weekly manga I've backlogged because it's progressing too slowly. I haven't read it in about 6 years.
Meanwhile entire manga like Shut Hell have started, peaked, declined, and finished while Kingdom still soldiers pun intended on.

>Its not Yan
What the fuck

It's a little over half over now.

Every Kanki chapter is KINO.

Probably my favorite manga but as others have said it's very slow in terms of the over arching plot. A single battle will take an entire arc and that means there is not much to talk about.

Damn that's cold.

If you're the user who asked she doesn't die, or at least not yet

It's really long, main reason I don't read it. Also its anime adaptation has horrendous animation so I can't watch it.

It took me 3 days to start and finish 611 chapters, now its time to wait a decade for another bulk.

Fuck Riboku and fuck Zhao

Attached: 1550883130586.png (492x503, 439K)

jesus dude you must have only read manga on those days. it took me like two months of on/off reading it to catch up.

It's an amazing manga, but most of the arcs are slow burners, so there's not much to discuss on a week to week basis until the climax of the battle.
Personally I like that it's kinda shonen-esque since it makes the plot and characters much easier to follow in such a long story. I love Ravages of Time, but it feels like you're trying to keep track of 5 chessboards at the same time.
