In that scenario it would mean that Goku would quickly dispose of him as there is nothing that would slow him down since he has insta dodge, if he doesn't then he gets btfo and UI would have been useless. that would make a very unusual quick fight for dragon ball. And there are still Vegeta and Buu, for them to fight Moro it would mean Goku is not intervening (because Moro would get btfo fast) but if he's not going to insta beat him then he's going to get the succ, unless there is some asspull like Moro can't succ and fight at the same time. Last chapter totally gave me the impression Vegeta would just learn a pretty specific gimmicky technique that would do wonders with Moro but be useless in every other scenario, but considering this chapter treats Vegeta's plan as its equivalent to Goku's plan of training to master UI I think it may be different at the end. What if Vegeta's technique is really usefull and basically acts as Vegeta's equivalent to UI?

there is no precedence for an angel just pretending to be a mortal in a universe they may or may not belong to, too many variables. Also it isn't at all that hard to predict the zeno button would be used at some point, other wise why introduce it to begin with? The same goes for the earings, we have only known them to do one thing, so you can only predict one thing from that. Mean while merus's backstory and origin of his skill could be anything.

yes there was, goku was constantly being warned not to mess with zeno because he could destroy a whole universe on a whim and has done it before. That, added with the button, there is really only one answer to that set up. Deities being related isn't a big deal and doesn't add anything, merus being an angel opens up so many questions. The precedence for villains using potara is everyone else who has used it to fuse in the past lol and the same goes for the dance.

you aren't taking everything else we know about zeno into consideration like I did above. The stars were all in obvious places for them to line up the way we did. All we know of merus is that he is blue(mortal aliens are blue) and that he fights well(other people can fight well), that is it and they are both very vague. All the other predictions have way more specific set ups that made them an obvious choice.

I don't see how that discounts the idea that everyone knows the potara are used to fuse people so it is sort of an obvious thing to assume, two villains with similar wants who are basically the same people with the earrings and the arc needs a way to escalate the tension, it lines up too well anything else to happen.

I was talking about discounting my main point about them fusing, black already used it to time travel so it doesn't really add another guess at what it is going to be used for. If black already used it to travel back in time why would their be a theory about him using it to travel? Then zamasu is shown to have one as well, like there are so many things are set up right for them to fuse, while with merus there are only two vague facts connecting him to being an angel.

he's from a higher tier of deity than the zenos and his people and the zeno people were at war and the zeno's race won by fusing together like the namekians but at the cost of their intelligence. After winning the war the zenos enslaved them and made them work for them. The grand minister and merus are the only ones who know and were around when the war happened. Merus is hiding out in u7 biding his time while the grand minister is an "uncle tom angel" working for zeno at his own will.
