i've been reading since 2013 when oregairu aired and i'm guessing i've read upwards 100 novels from Novel Updates. not completed, but read at least a volume each. there are a few exemptions here and there but most follow the same trend.

The premise was the MC and ML were both fucked in the head, but in different ways, and tigether they almost made a complete person.
It caught a lot of flak because of flashbacks to the MC's background that were at the start of each chapter. They were meant to set the tone for each chapter while also serving as a foil to events in the chapter, but the way they were written made a lot of readers feel that the MC's background would have been a more interesting story than the actual story.
Also the story itself was a mess. It had a few good moments but I can't recommend it to you with a straight face.

I only saw covers before like the one you posted or Sia, and I know many gook novels tend to have just the cover and maybe heroine illustrations like TNE so an actual LN illustration akin to Dungeon Defense was a shocker to me, especially since I never saw a single one from Running posted before this thread.

Did I miss them all? It's still on my backlog after I caught up to the original long long long ago, and I still don't plan to read it yet but saving up the images available is always nice.
