I recently started reading the manga and the author realy did some research on medieval norse society

Isn't that the famous farmland arc that is great because of Throfinn's developement I hear talking about? Why would they drop it? No action or bombastic fights?

I dont have a problem with Thorfinn's development, my problem is that I never liked him, and the most entertaining characters like Askeladd and thorkell arent there.

Askeladd saga is the best arc in Vinland Saga, so the anime could be a really great contender if it manages to cover this arc decently. However, people will probably have mixed feelings with an eventual 2nd season (farmland arc) and disgusted by an eventual 3rd season (baltic war arc).

Kimetsu no Yaiba is great and ufotable is doinga great job. If they keep it up, I can easily see it being AOTY. And the things only get better later on, so a 2nd and 3nd season are unlikely to disappoint.

Dr. Stone is fun but also very cringey. I don't even think it should be on the list.

Well, it has the most chance to receive a second season among those three.

There are plenty of series with higher production values or better overall directing, but MIX is the one I've enjoyed the most this year.
Ultimately, it's an adaptation of a WSJ series, so if you don't usually like WSJ shit, it might not be your cup of tea. Otherwise, it's an anime with great action, fun characters, and an interesting setting. I'd recommend giving it a try, in any case. And don't worry about whether it'll be remembered or not, just think about having a good time watching it.

Yes, but unlike his other works, which usually don't share a setting, MIX is set approx. 30 years after Touch. It's nice to watch, although it might be too slow-paced for most.

Tanjirou's lineage was already hinted at having significance. Inosuke can bend his body however he pleases. Zenitsu's history with Kaigoku was shown early on. Nezuko's abilities were shown early on. See-through world was hinted at in the UM4 fight. Wani's problem is that while she introduces things to be paid off later, there always feels like there should be a little more beforehand.

Tanjirou has the politeness of a character like Mob or Deku with the confidence of a character like Luffy. His greatest strength is shown during quiet moments of empathy. He is how you write a kind character without mistakenly thinking they need to have a moral quandary about killing. He is not ray of hope because of any endearing ignorance on his part, he's fully aware of how shitty things are. He is a simple character without being shallow. His history as the oldest brother and the loss of his family is felt in all his actions.
He is basically Big Stick - the character.

I'm a little perplexed by what you're even trying to get across with this statement. They've won all but one fight, that being against Akaza. I am praising how it can keep things fresh by giving the demons unique quirks but still keeping the heroes fairly limited. The train, red light, and sword village fights are all great examples of balancing the capabilities of a large group of characters in one fight.
