It’s weird that people even say that they prefer the sub when the English dub fits a lot more into the atmosphere of it being more of an Americanized Western cartoon than an actual anime.

The dub completely rewrites the script into pure degenerate trash packed with as many double entendres as humanly possible, and for a show that was clearly trying to ape a Western style, it actually fits well. It's still not exactly funny, the humor is about on par with a fan-made YouTube 'Unabridged' edit, but at the very least it's not an average dub, it's basically the Ghost Stories phenomenon only with lewd source material.

Why do some people have such knee-jerk reactions to hearing others liking dubs? Personally I think subs are better, but jesus christ it's like some of you were traumatized by dubs or something.

I feel like the original audio is vastly overlooked because of the dub's unexpected quality. Both have their individual merits depending on the episode. Sometimes the English helps with wordplay-based delivery like in the cum episode, sometimes I just want to hear funny engrish and cute girls rolling their R's.
