I was in that situation for years until I took a tour of local brewery and they had me taste-test a dozen different kinds of sake at the end. That converted me, and my parents, too (they'd also been disgusted by their first encounter).

It really depends on your taste on regular drinks, if you are into sweet stuff you could start with a mojito or anything tall, are you a coffee person? So uh Mormon here. What is drinking like?

I'm 5'10 and 140 pounds, but I still have trouble getting drunk. If I drink at a normal pace I'll only get a little tipsy. The most I've ever had was 7 shots in a row on New Years, but still didn't feel completely drunk.
I've just given up on trying to get past that point and stick with one or two drinks whenever I have any, it's far less expensive.

I like how social I am when I drink, I feel like I am who I truly am supposed to be. I am so fucking antisocial while sober but while drunk I can actually communicate with people normally. It's easy to converse with people who I don't normally converse with and share my thoughts.
