You seem to have hallucinated a scene where Nadia compliments the meal and Jean slyly informs her she's enjoying meat before the fight started. Real news is she identified it immediately and put together Jean made omelets with finely minced meat to trick her into eating it. Jean doesn't help either with the "oh yeah prove it" attitude, the insistence this wasn't deceptive, and his case about needing animal protein in a survival situation is less persuasive when she would have already been eating an omelet. They're both puds.
