Attached: 1556863519934.jpg (671x720, 73K)

Why the fuck are the nips so obsessed with reading manga in apps lately? I just want to enjoy raws on my desktop, hassle free.

It's probably publishers forcing their apps so it's harder to pirate

What happened to the boards.fireden.net/a archive?

Gone apparently.
There's still Desuarchive.org.

but desu has all the broken images...

I was bored and made a bubble cleaning action. I vaguely remember seeing mentions of such an action, but couldn't find it, so whatever. Here it is:

if it's true that this is retarded, people are literally breaking the world's most advanced anti-piracy protection, netflix's 4k stream protection, since the first day of release

How do I rip from Renta's reader?

Ded

how ded?

Holy shit it works
thanks user

I just use a program to grab it from the source.

What program?

>Manga Updates tells me a scan group is working on a title I'm interested in, though I can't find it anywhere
>I find out they only release chapters on their sekrid Discord and I have to ask for access by PM'ing them on Facebook
>It's been 5 years since I don't have Facebook
Fucking WHY. I understand hating aggregator sites but what's even the point of going through the work of translating something if you're just sharing it on your limited circle?

Limited might be fine if they expect others to copy it elsewhere for them, but not using facebook and discord.

I hope ripper user replies to my email before September. my NEET period is almost permanently over.

Anyone know how to do a high-quality rip on MangaPlus chapters?

Attached: web_logo_190118_light.8433a460.png (400x177, 45K)

Holy shit it's apparently even worse. Looks like they only make the chapters available for a limited period of time. Which means that even if I get access to their Discord there's still a chance I might not even be able to read the manga they translated. What the fuck.

Attached: 151955541044.jpg (640x480, 22K)

What group is it, and is someone leaking them anyway? Do they try to ban people who do?

Not quite manga but still... Struggling with (fake-ish) kobun, ~20 sentences over 8 minutes with no hints in the rest of the show as to how to decipher it. Having not studied any kobun, I can't even turn that into modern Japanese properly, let alone understand more than half of it, especially the parts where I have to do it by ear... Suffering.

>stuck with 1600p, but it's a 4koma and it has a terribad blur filter applied
>some of the text is literally just unreadable smudge

I wrote a script to rip stuff from their new web reader, but they only put higher quality versions for a fraction of the series, and of course not for the one I'm working on...

Lots of magazines are now digital, or things are serialized in the apps, so yeah.

Why would anyone upload a chapter with pages over 4k resolution
mangadex.org/chapter/693981/5

I'm not going to say who it is because I don't want to snitch on them or anything. I just don't understand. And no, none of their mangas seems to have been leaked until now, or at least I can't find them on the regular sites.

Just snipe them, fuck those faggots.

>I don't want to snitch on them or anything.

You are as much of a faggot as them.

you are fucking anonymous what do you lose

>I don't want to snitch on them or anything
What are they gonna tell your mom or something?

what genres and demographics are the series they're working on targeting?
shoujo groups have a history of being retarded sekrit clubs

What gets translators to drop a series Yea Forums?

It's Shoujo. Is this why I don't see much Shoujo on Mangadex? Fucking hell.

A. lack of insert or butt hurt about story developments
B. Drama
C. No time/lazy
D. Lack of raws

Are scanlator groups working on shoujo made up of girls?

shoujo groups are really moronic
there's a reason chibi has like 6 credit pages

usually, more likely that guys are to be at least unless it's a special series
or it's a fujo series

*more likely than guys are

why are there two "no group" releases of 5 toubun? More scanlation drama?

I could've sworn the reason I barely see Shoujo on Mangadex was because of a drop of interest on the western side, but it's apparently even more depressing. Cool.

Zeno is a discord sniper (usually kaguya)
CornTLs version is from leddit

I'm sure we'll get 2 more, a dropout and Yea Forums one.

Does josei have as much drama as shoujo?

I see a lot of josei and shoujo manga when I book stores. Dunno if that has anything to do with it

Discord retards, the usual culprit.

The gooks locked them up behind their shit scanlations.

never bothered to check since there are so few josei series translations

Why is josei so uncommon compared to seinen?

lonely housewives don't read much manga

it seems to be more of a male hobby, also more women read seinen than men read josei
there are some very good josei series, but they're more challenging as a translation project
the lack of furigana is a real turn off I understand.

this is a joke right? they devour romance just like soap operas

not in comic book form

At lot of Josei is BL too

>I don't want to snitch on them or anything
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Then leak them yourself, how fucking hard could it be. Give it like a week though as the guy who just joined will be the number one suspect.

but manga is ubiquitous in japan? It's just another media form that spans the gap between film and novel.

I would if I still had Facebook. And I don't know if I want to reactivate mine just to beg for a Discord invite. I just wish I could understand. If aggregator sites bothered me that much I'd just stop scanlating.

I've got Facebook, tell me.

normalfaaaag

all this corporate facebook and discord shit gives me privacy concerns and copyright C&D prosecutions

I am getting so fucking sick of scanlator drama queens. Most people, sane people, do scanlations for free because they want the manga and they want to give back to the community. But then they get all prissy and pull it off the one really easy place to track and read their shit, forcing me to use their fucking web reader or to download the whole thing.

Boo hoo Yea Forums sniped a fucking chapter, it's not an actual job. There's no money in this. Fucking christ

It's just xor and nothing over there is high quality.

Attached: 1515675.jpg (1080x1577, 215K)

I don't understand what's the problem here.
Just do your TLs like you planned, why do you even care about some other group.
What are they even gonna do to you?

>he does it for free
>he takes his "job" very seriously
>he does it because it is the only amount of power & control he will ever have in his pathetic life
is a perfect description of the mindset behind it

I've heard of groups throwing giant shitstorm and threatening to drop all their projects, thus getting all their fans to mob the sniper.

Attached: 90f.gif (400x225, 2.39M)

dump zip files on Yea Forums and let randos upload it

That's a wet dream right there, trigger someone so hard they straight-up quit.

>4k resolution... typeset is garbage
wew

What are the essential PS scripts that typesetters should have Yea Forums?

the only legit reason to learn jap desu

I prefer learning jap so I can ego trip on forums

I tried learning Japanese but turns out it was Korean and I still couldn't figure it out because it was Chinese.

What, you're telling me triggering some babies supposed to be a concern?

No, I'm telling you to go for it. I'll grab the popcorn.

not just as good but still hella fun i bet

Unironically I would do that, if my Japanese and English grammar were good enough.

dude that's a non issue
if you can translate the meaning of a sentence it's good enough you can just let Yea Forums proof read it, gonna be better than the original than anyway

Just download Kanjitomo and google things you don’t understand. That’s what I’m doing and I’m scanning with my piss poor Japanese

I'm trying to do that as we speak but I'm bullshitting my way out of 1/3 of the sentences. I hope not many people were looking forward to this manga.

If it's isekai nobody will bat an eye.

I have the worst kind of autism where unless TL is absolutely perfect, I'd never show it to other people.
This is something that I'd lose my sleep over it, constantly thinking where I fucked up and how I could've improved things. Not even kidding.

kek, are you me?
fucking salts, they haven't responded yet

>hue hue autsim
that's not having autism it's called beeing ashamed of your own shortcomings you cunt
stop beeing a bitch and quit shoving those non issues infront of everything

seethe harder reddit

What scan group is it?

I’m doing a gag manga and even if I translate it literally It barely makes any sense or it’s stilled as fuck so I have to rewrite half of it anyway. As long as you keep to the spirit of the what’s written in the text nobody will notice

>i hide myself behind non arguments excusess so i don't have to face how much of a spinless bitch i am
i think you're confused with who's from plebbit here faggot

If the user doing Mouryou Shoujo is here, there is a typo on page 4 of chapter 6. Should be "retrieving"

the absolute state of ESLs

You don’t enunciate the last vowel?

Should probably be a comma after "here" in that second panel too.

It's a long first vowel made longer

Do you know how "wide" is pronounced, ESL-kun?

What? In my part of the country they make the second vowel longeeeeeeer

not him but im just use to the Japanese way so i write it down that way subconsciously

WHY IN THE FUCK

Attached: 47084248.png (831x460, 145K)

"Wide" isn't pronounced "Wi-deh", dumb esl.

what?

more like "why-duh" but not quite

That shit bothers me so much. I get that Japanese just repeats the last character or draws a line, but at least consider the pronunciation in English.

You can generally elongate any or all vowel sounds in a word, but they have to actually make a sound. Terminal vowels, especially "e", are often silent. Youuu juuust neeeeed tooo keeeep iiiiin miiiind hooow iiit's prooonouuunced.

Anyone has experience on working for doujin commissions before? How much the rates you charge for? Also, how long does it take usually for you guys to finish one chapter, let's say, 24 pages doujin? I'm working by myself, from cleaning, translating, typesetting, checking, so I wonder if 3 to 5 days is too slow.

$100 says it's Wild Fang.

Fixed.
Thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind.

With that English, you shouldn't expect more than a couple bucks.

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uJzgJBGuY5Jv0xcaPwGD8lAlYueu0Z6Q4HWdy1BDDDg/pubhtml#

A bit outdated, but still somewhat useful. Check the known translators there, under the Commission tab.
I think that up to a week is a decent time for a 24-30 pages chapter, some of those in that list used to deliver in like one or two days, but it always depends on the amount of text per page and editing required.
Even CGrascal charged like 1.5USD per page and people paid for that garbage.

Learn English first.

Attached: 65BE40BB-5B81-406C-84C4-1BF0DEE3BC93.jpg (540x606, 63K)

>1.5USD
>Around 30/45 dollars a chapter for a weeks worth of work
That doesn’t seem worth it at all unless you’re a literal neet or live overseas

why does kirecake cut up releases?

>a weeks worth of work
Translating 24 pages should take you an hour or two at most, editing maybe a bit more, but if you take more than a day doing ~30 pages, you probably don't know what you're doing and shouldn't be doing commissions in the first place.

Because he has to take care of his sick mom and can't post it all at once.
Isekai manga are the ones usually split up that way, but it depends entirely on the publisher, and some are released like that on web/mobile, like in the MangaUp app for example.

This is pretty neat. Thanks.
I'm not aiming for big bucks anyway, also I don't really care if EOPs are screeching at my English. They can learn Japanese by themselves if they're desperately want quality translation of their futa porns.

Except if you're working full time job 5 days a week. With 4 people you can do it pretty much in a single day, unless you're alone and not a neet.

If you have a real job, you don't need to be a Jew and charge at all. By the time you're scanlating to fill the downtime at work, 50 bucks is chump change.

Not everyone is living in first world country.

Nekojiru Dango typesetting finally done, thank fucking God. Now I just need to decide if I want to grovel for the 600dpi Nekojiru Udon scans pepperanon has.

How did you guys git gud at typesetting? Naturally over time, active practice, or both?

it's wido, obviously

Please resend or something, I cannot find any unanswered requests at the moment.

>git gud
Is it really that hard? Seems pretty easy to me, pick a font that matches similar to the original text, make it fit in that space, do funky stuff if you have to.

Maybe, just maybe, the site is under development. It even says sorry lmao. (github.com/chocolatkey/comicake)

Developer of comicake (the reader championscans uses) here. Do not misinterpret my lack of time at the moment to finish download functionality as hostile behavior of a scanlation group. On one hand, I'm laughing that my alert has been turned into a meme, on the other hand go submit a PR on github: github.com/chocolatkey/comicake . And if you can make a better, then please do, competition motivates me.

sorry you're a nigger...

At least it doesn't seem difficult to scrape them.

>to mob the sniper.

What are they going to do? Throw mean words at your through the internet?

I dunno. I just don’t like my current typesetting and want to improve

How would you do your credit page?

>Manga-Organizer

Holy fuck, thank you so much user, I have thousands of porn archives downloaded and it's a mess.

I don't because I'm not a huge faggot.

I'd only use them to explain things without TNs desu.

The real question is how do you do it fast? How long does it take on average to typeset 20 page chapters?

If you can't clean, redraw, and typeset 60+ pages over a couple of hours then you need to practice more. An action series will take longer, but SoL manga can be knocked out fast. Waiting on the translation and cleaning up the grammar slows down the process more than anything.

Bubble cleaning is typically beyond easy. People always offering to "clean" which is just bubble cleanup with no redraw should learn to fuck off. I can do that and better. Background replacement and redrawing slows things down depending on how complicated it is which they always suck at.

About a day or two if I take my time. I can shit out a chapter in 30/40 minutes

Do you have some scripts that make typesetting trivial? The only one I have is for re-centering in bubbles.

>People always offering to "clean" which is just bubble cleanup with no redraw should learn to fuck off. I can do that and better. Background replacement and redrawing slows things down depending on how complicated it is which they always suck at.
Just clone tool everything bro lol

Bullshit. Unless you're doing a 4-koma with an aversion to background tones, there's no way you're doing quality redraws that quickly.

As will content-fill, but the statement of slowing down was compared to just a wipe in white.

No scripts, just too many years in PS. Natural ability to center & break up a sentence. The days under Viz were more of a pain in the ass than scanlation work now for fun.

You can watch people on this board knock out 2 or 3 chapters in a day once translations go up. Isn't hard.

Not everybody has actual professional experience in scanlations my dude.

How do companies like Viz deal with shit like sound effects, and how picky are they when it comes to redrawing?

You worked for Viz? I doubt you're the only people like this so no wonder some typesets look better than official releases.

First, two or three chapters a day is not the same as 60 pages in two hours. Second, speedy catch-ups only happen with the aforementioned easy series where redrawing is maybe 10% of the total workload. There are plenty of series where it exceeds 50%, even if you include script editing.

>How do companies like Viz deal with shit like sound effects, and how picky are they when it comes to redrawing?
In the old says you were required to remove all SFX. Period. Clone tool, redraw, and a high demand in speed. A full manga was typically expected back in a week. You were given the scans to work from and a lengthy translation sheet. Payment by pages worked within a max limit. Corrections are on you to catch as your Editor will likely just spot check. So depending on the series it was a pain when they were competing against Tokyopop and the joke that was ADV Manga. Later rules printed all SFX/notes at the end of the manga while major ones are noted on the page itself. Can't recall how long this went on. Tokyopop going under lightened the mood. Nowadays they do a mix of some in the back and some on the page itself. If you pass the original redraw test (3 series, 10 pages each) then they will almost never give you shit over any choice unless consumers complain about something. With more digital only series you see the SFX notes on the pages themselves.

>Not everybody has actual professional experience in scanlations my dude.
And?

Speaking of magazines, just got a bunch and I want to scan then but I've got fuck all experience and just GIMP. Any essential hot tips? Not scanlating, just want to create beautiful archives.

I think posters are going to be the biggest headache.

Attached: ResizeSM.jpg (400x317, 54K)

Step 1: Pirate photoshop

Do you even have anything to typeset in besides bubbles? I can't imagine just typesetting 60 pages, even for a SoL, in a couple hours, nevermind throwing in cleaning and redrawing in there on top of that.

>tokyopop
That's a name I haven't heard of in a while, Jesus Christ

You either suck at math, are full of shit or both, 60 pages over a couple of hours means 2 min x page, you'd have trouble to maintain that speed just typesetting, add cleaning and redrawing and you need about 5 min x page if there's no need for big fixes.

>look at how manga is done professionally lately
>most of them put their sfx in parantheses next to the original japanese text
Lazy fucks

They're still alive in some countries

I own Photoshop 7, but I don't know if that's good enough these days.

Current Photoshop is easy as fuck to pirate there's an easy tutorial to follow on leddit old.reddit.com/r/sjain_guides/comments/9g4t2u/

>required to remove all SFX
>A full manga was typically expected back in a week
>Corrections are on you to catch as your Editor will likely just spot check
Jesus no wonder old Tokyopop releases were shoddy as fuck

Looks like step 1 might be getting a new computer, this only works on Windows 7+.

Was probably time anyhow. I'll return with test pages in a few weeks to see how far a new PC, PS, and Google will get me. You can all yell at me for my mistakes then.

There's a macOS one too if that's your issue old.reddit.com/r/sjain_guides/comments/b7qnka

I got this computer and PS7 in a bundle xmas of 2002.

I appreciate the guides though. I'll make use of the first one soon.

Why even recommend CC2018 when 2019 is even easier to pirate and it's activated by a simple plug-in without the need of patching things or replacing files.

Can you share then?

It works fine on my 10 years old computer.

What a load of shit. I'm not even on your shitty list

I upgraded to CC 20.0 a few weeks ago and it LOVES to crash when I'm typesetting stuff, if it ain't broken don't change it

Just write your own script for it it's not all that hard for this one

I typically translate it as "Heh heh heh".

I just pirated CC 2015 and it's working OK

CC2018 is probably the most stable right now,
I'd say Photoshop is something that's always worth upgrading unless you use some outdated plugins that don't work on newer versions.
And there's a bunch of guides how to remove all the bloat from it that Adobe keeps pushing so there's also that.

>finally make it and get an actual legit job translating manga
>contract explicitly states that you're not allowed to scanlate on the side
It's been a good run senpaitachi, smell you later

Attached: v6.png (317x318, 53K)

how exactly will they know you're doing it?

How the fuck will they know?

Make up a fake but believable persona and scanalate under that.

I doubt they can but it makes sures that their employees don't publicly associate themselves (and possibly their companies) with "piracy", and it gives them a reason to fire them should they somehow discover it. I doubt they legally could fire someone because he does fan translation on the side.

That's common, if I knew Japanese and English well enough to get a legit localization gig, I wouldn't really want to scanlate any longer anyway.

I would try to heavily push for the genres I like though.

That's the one, thanks user

scanlators are drama magnets

only the ones who're doing it for internet points, attention and whatnot.

>Work for a publisher as a retoucher and compo for their manga series
>Scanlating during work hours
>They don't even notice it as long as I finish their project fast.
That contract is BS man. Graphic artists do side jobs all the time.

When will dropout ever give up? I mean even leddit managed to release first.

how do you actually find some untranslated series to pick up? there's so many, it's like going through an ocean of garbage in order to find something decent

Wanna share your experience how you landed that job?
It's something that I'd eventually like to do even if the pay is shit.

at it's simplest you put credits in the margins of one of the pages, make a page if it needs complex notes
or you can exercise your creativity

Go to Amazon JP, browse through well-received manga, and find one that looks interesting. Then check if it's translated or not.

I browse Bookwalker somewhat often for genres and labels I like and if I like the preview pages, then I buy them. If I enjoy the series enough and nobody else has translated it or translations are dead, I pick it up. The last series I picked up runs in the same magazine as another I'm working on with a group.

how well does it work with linux or wine?

damn that's some old hardware, mine is (2009)

I have an ethical aversion to discord, if you have a discord I ain't going near it.

just dump anonymous translations on people? unless you really fuck up no one will ever know jack, if you find a fun series then have fun with it.

What the hell user, that's ancient

honestly there are enough partly finished series that are awesome but only have a few volumes untranslated that using the mangaupdates.com search tools with &filter=some_releases will usually find something unless you're after new stuff, or you could look at award list and competition nominees

I remember Aka to Kuro used to have this big list as their credits page of stuff they thought was cool but wasn't completed

actually I have an old tower pc from 1999 with windows 98 and 256MB of ram I used to use it to fuck around with openbsd.

Why else would you do it. I've been doing most of the things as user for a long time (did adopt a tag eventually for convenience), yet I still craved to get feedback even if it didn't translate into a tangible e-peen, only an intangible one. Really wanted to hear that "yeah this thing i've never even heard about before is actually pretty fun".

I just read stuff and often enough it turns out that what I like has no translation. Or maybe a source of something that's airing this season. With the genres I like usually only the top of the crop gets translated, so there's always a shitload of fun stuff that's unavailable in English.

In my case it's part finding help, part leaving contacts in case someone needs something from me. I've found some close associates that way that have helped me tremendously. And it's more populated and convenient than IRC these days.

And of course some circlejerking, as this attracts people with similar interests to yours.

But then again it's a small and cozy server without the usual meme bullshit, I don't know much about the somewhat more cancerous ones.

honestly one of the reason I prefer actual groups to no group or user releases is because if they've got good taste then they have a bunch of decent series in their backlogs that are generally also worth reading.
it's also a convenient filter to avoid god awful groups that put out garbage

Yeah, I have a few series I'm attached to so I'll probably keep doing them anonymously.

There's not much to share, honestly. I googled around for "manga translation job" or something similar, found a company who were looking for freelancers. This was after a good 5 or so years of scanlating.
I applied, did a test, waited about a month for the results, then I was on board.
Just be urself and don't be afraid to send out applications.
I thought I'd have no chance without professional experience, but it's surprisingly not the case.

So basically all it took was a successful test?
Gotta start grinding my Japanese then, maybe in a few years I'll get to a decent level.
Also, might be a dumb question but do they also require "native" English level on top of having good Japanese? Or do editors take care of making your TL look presentable? I have no idea how these things work on the official scale.

sounds like a tradesmen's test

waifu2x the page to 1.6 scale, then scale the canvas to the size you want and add the waifued page as the new base layer scale it down to your preference, you should now be able to check the typesetting and modify appropriately

Yeah I guess I have to now. I'm just too much of a retard to figure out how to use it for batches

whiteout overlay layers are less of a hassle to change than blanking out textbubbles on the actual page

>do they also require "native" English level on top of having good Japanese? Or do editors take care of making your TL look presentable?
Depends on the company and project I guess, so far I only worked on short projects without editors. My stuff does go through PR but I wouldn't expect them to make any big changes or drastically improve anything other than a few words here and there, or pointing out sentences I misunderstood.
My understanding in general is that good English is even more important than Japanese when it comes to translating.
But I'm not a native and it still worked out, so that in itself is not a dealbreaker.

Sure they are. Check this:

Some other user mentioned 1.6 scale too previously, is there any specific reason?

that was probably me, the defaults are 1.6 or 2.0, smaller changes are better

Will Sumire 16/17 sai ever get a license?

All signs point to no

but why not? I'd actually buy it instead of downloading rips if they did....

Hey, this is helpful!
Now I feel like a massive chump for manually cleaning bubbles.

I'd buy it too but it's an old niche series. Not worth the licensing fees or labour and printing cost.

Are you me?

Pretty sure 4K netflix was only broken recently and it's been available since like 2016.

There was a script but it looks like they changed things so it's broken. The quality is very bad, 1024 or 1200 at most.

I read their yankee isekai and goblin layer and that's about it.

Anybody got the mangaline app working?

wait you can make money from translating doujins? wtf

I've known people making money translating doujins from English to Russian even.

>not a native
Maybe I should try... Although my English writing is somewhere between unreadable and very dry, depending on mood and time of day. And I have a lot of trouble with localizing puns. So I guess I better not even think about this, but an user can dream.

>As for image quality, GIMP detected that the "original" image from the Chinese upload was a 93% quality JPEG, so I saved the edited files as a 93% quality JPEG too.
Has anyone read a more cursed comment

This is your mind on freedom.

How does one even go about making money with TL'ing doujins?
Obviously you'd have to have a place for people to put requests but like how would you even incite people to pay you in the first place?

I'm pretty sure "1.6" just scales it to 2 and then scales it back down to 1.6 so it's a useless upscale. Better to just edit at 2.

You don’t need to incite them. Desperate people will come to you to translate their weird porn

I'm pretty sure you have no clue what you're talking about.

Prove to me that you do.

Attached: stfu-paco.gif (1520x2197, 2.04M)

I guess what I meant was, how would people know who to go to for TLs?
Is a trivial thing like start translating random stuff and post contact info on the postscript page and hope people will be interested?
Just curious how solo anons get into this without being a part of some known/established team.

>CC2018 is probably the most stable right now,
This. I have 2019 installed when required for professional work, but if there's no stipulation in the contract than 2018 is still my go-to PS for anything. Maybe 3 crashes total since it came out? I save constantly so I didn't lose much.

Oh make a website and shop yourself around on forums

GIMP can detect the JPG quality? Can PS do that too? I only needed to check the quality once but I had to use some other program. Maybe it was Image Magick or something.

you don't jpeg a jpeg, jpeg is a lossy file compression so visual quality gets progressively worse

This is why I keep struggling to decode Publus images for mobile apps, unlike web that is visually scrambled and thus re-compressed they appear to be losslessly encrypted by openssl instead.

OK? That is not at all what I asked. Read the question again please.

>mobile apps
Which one?

How many years will it be until scanlations can adopt AVIF? We have webp, yet I've only seen it used like twice, so I'm wondering if it's even possible to adopt a new image format after decades of JPG/PNG domination.

I think PS can, because when I edit a jpeg and want to save it as another jpeg sometimes it chooses a quality like 10 as default when I always choose 12. I don't think it tells you anywhere what quality it detected though.

I'm pretty sure the percent was actually zoom level. So that clown saved the images again at 93% and shrank the files further, which explains why it went from 92 MB to 87 MB.

Fuz. Haven't had the time to dig too deep yet, I'm looking through badly decompiled code since I've got no clue what's a state of the art decompiler these days. Will maybe continue on the weekend if I don't have work or won't be too busy translating.

I mean, my standalone web image ripper is honestly good enough, considering the source isn't likely to be much better, but I'm bloody autistic about getting rid of as many jpeg artifacts as possible.

>does PS support it?
>what are the advantages?
>how does it handle color?
>does AVIF display on web pages like a JPG/PNG would?
You have to answer scanlator questions like that first.

I'm too retarded for that. I know how to get links to each page, but don't know how to write a script to batch download them. I don't know shit about programming.

Well, what I'm wondering is how many years will it take for all of that to be solved, if it will be at all.

Does anyone know what this could be? It kind of looks like 湯上 but it doesn't fit with everything else written there.
Sorry for the shitty picture.

Attached: help.png (459x283, 47K)

>scrambling the image by simply dividing it into a 4x4 grid and switching x and y coordinates of every block

I mean, I'm glad they're not making it hard unlike a certain other web viewer scrambling, but I'm also surprised it's this easy.

That's from 湯神くんには友達がいない, right? 上 in names tends to be read as かみ/がみ, so the character probably misspelt 湯神 as 湯上.

I unironically use kanjitomo when I translate things. Although I avoid relying on it as much as I can, I always leave it open because not only is it good for looking up words you don't recognize, it's also bretty good as a dictionary if you understand the text but can't find the right words.

My translations are pretty accurate, but I still think of myself as a shit translator for using those assistant tools. Oh-fucking-well.

Attached: 1559132615435.png (810x900, 902K)

How do guys deal with puns? They seem like the hardest thing to translate.

Attached: 1565505283129.jpg (349x525, 201K)

Just throw in a TN note bro lol

But then comes the problem that if a retard like you manages to rip stuff off that website then every other retard out there also most likely will do the same, flooding the website with thousands of rippers everytime a chapter gets released, encouraging them to make their image viewer and scrambler a lot more complicated to get through.

Just know that shonenjumpplus.com, tonarinoyj.jp and shonenmagazine.com both use the exact same image viewer making a ripper for one compatible with the rest. There already exists a lot of scripts to rip from those, some of which have already been posted in these threads. If you can't make the script yourself then spend more effort searching for an existing one, although really this simple image scrambler they use is an excellent entry point to get into making chapter ripper scripts.

Have there ever been snipes of series with less than 10k views a chapter?

I oppress the EOPdom by sticking an intrusive TL/N on their faces.

Does anyone know how to pirate from Comic Zenon?

Shit I can't even find a working PS plugin that exports to webp. No one seems to care about these two formats, which is why it hasn't caught on.

I thought only zenyon did web comics?

Fuz isn't all that hard, just keep at it.
They basically throw an encrypted license at you which has the final URL parameters for the images as well as the encryption key for said images. The encryption method for the license and for the images is the same.
If you want to see if it's even worth the trouble, try comparing pic related with what you get with your web ripper.

Such are the woes of translating
Speaking of, I need help
I'm working on a samurai manga, how would someone address someone above their station that isn't the ruling Daimyo?
Would Lord be too much?

If it’s a historical manga set in Japan I prefer when the honorific aren’t translated and us TL notes if it’s an extremely specific honorific

Yeah, I think it would be best to stick to that, guess I'll re-read Lone Wolf and other similarly time period manga to get the gist on how it's written

I'm apart of JB. AMA.

Just keep the stuff like -san/-chan/-dono and change stuff like heika and buchou. As for sensei, I think it’s worth keeping for people in teaching roles and worth changing for doctors or other professions

Top or bottom?

Why are you so autistic about using mangadex?

bottom, unfortunately. I joined cuz I heard you got paid.

pay up for the raws already, you owe me 2000 dollarydoos
>b-but these magazines only cost like 10 bucks wtf
Faggot. A deal's a deal

Literally just use hakuneko to scrape. They even have rss feeds so you never have to access the site at all.

I saw this font being used a lot. What is it?

Attached: 1.png (82x93, 6K)

Can I go back and edit a page on mangadex or do I have to go back and reupload the whole chapter

Looks like komika something.

Why don't you have per series rss feeds?

what about this one? also, font searchers online don't work too well, do they...

Attached: dsafafaf.png (96x126, 11K)

Right, in this particular case, it's a Karô, but what I'm wondering is how the household servants would address him, keeping Tono might be the best case I think.

Master makes sense. If it’s the owner of the property lord would be appropriate

Anons who scanlate alone, what's your usual routine?
In what order do you translate, typeset, clean etc? Do you do everything page-by-page or do one thing for all chapter pages and then the next thing for all chapter pages and so on e.g. clean all pages first, then translate all pages, typeset all pages etc?

I translate the chapter, see if my friend wants to typeset it, then poorly typeset it myself because he dodges the question

Why bother, when they provide the images unscrambled?

cdn-ak-img2.shonenjumpplus.com/public/original/10834108156678313480-1dd620868adec72e287ef3e79aab10e5

First I translate the whole chapter, then open PS and start doing everything page for page, then 2 pages later I browse Yea Forums for a couple of hours.

shut up, nigger

I clean if needed, then do rough translations on the pages themselves. Then I go back and "quality check" everything.

Attached: early process.png (1283x1079, 439K)

If you aren't garbage and you're doing it for piddly amounts of money you might as well go professional. It's not nearly as hard to get into as a lot of people think.

why does LRR like flatmino?

Do redraws first so when I get to the meat of the volume I only have easy stuff left. Clean waaay ahead because it's the only think I can do while listening to podcasts. Then translate everything when I'm in the right frame of mind. Then typeset whenever. My main series has a lot of text so a single chapter can easily take 90 minutes, so I'll only do like two chapters in a row.

Are you using brush smoothing? Even my fairly good handwriting looks like a 3yo's handwriting without it.

Translate doujins normally and put your contact info in the credits page, no one will want to commission you without any example works.

Even denoise level 3 doubles the size.

Use a PNG optimizer on lossy settings, or just use Photoshop's legacy Save for Web/PNG. The higher the resolution, the fewer colors you can get away with.

Thanks, I'll keep at it.

This is what I get with mine (after also running it through lossless pingo because unoptimized PNGs are too huge). The tankobons and chapters made from them don't make for a great comparison of quality because of Houbunsha's dreaded blur filter, but after zooming in I do see less compression artifacts on your image, so I think it's worth it to keep digging the Android app. Just wish I knew a better decompiler than apktool - it's fine but reading incomplete smali is very annoying.

Attached: p-040.png (1125x1600, 1.08M)

Good to know, thanks, I just took a quick glance at the reader so I had no idea it was possible to get unscrambled stuff from there.

I usually clean first, then translate and typeset at the same time, much faster for me than doing that separately.

>And there's a bunch of guides how to remove all the bloat from it that Adobe keeps pushing so there's also that.
Is this something I should know about as someone pirating photoshop for the first time

Ever since Adobe switched to CC, they keep bloating it with a bunch of useless services running in the background that has no effect on PS itself if you were to remove those.
I believe if you get Photoshop via CCMaker, you can "out-out" of most of those services.

I translate page by page as I typeset. Not the best system, I know, but if it works it works.

Anyone know a good font for shouts that looks more like pencil scribblings than brush? Something like Scratchnessism but wider. Using bold on it doesn't look as good.

Pretty good, thanks user

Don't use Waifu2x denoise. Also, usually Waifu2x tends to add a bunch of extra shit that is invisible to the naked eye but that you need to get rid of by leveling, and it also turns images from grayscale to RGB colorspace, which can triple the file size.

I wonder if the content_key in the license is not what I need or if I'm not getting the openssl arguments right...

thanks

well yeah it rgb files are larger than greyscale, just level three phases then change the image mode

Thanks a lot, I think I managed to do it, now I just have to make it usable. It turned out to be even easier - if you don't pass all of those cookies... you just get an unencrypted license back. So you only need to decrypt the files with that key.

Attached: test.jpg (1353x1920, 818K)

Web, for comparison. It's not terribly worse, the artifacts are just more pronounced, so this was indeed a bit autistic, but personally I think even this small difference is worth it. Plus it's just plain faster now.

Open PS, load 4 images, rough clean all of them, go back to the first one -> translate/typeset -> redraw -> save as png -> go to next image.

1) Very few people read it.
2) People read it but the ones that do are annoying and complain about just about every translation choice.
3) The story of the manga goes to shit and the team loses interest.
4) The team gets jobs, gets into a relationship, or other real life issues that take up their time and they no longer have the time or desire to work on the manga.
5) For people who have just disappeared without saying anything, it's possible they actually died somehow. It happens.

Always 1&2 work on great unknown manga and nobody bats an eye but complains out of the ying yang

I sometimes wonder if I just machine translate everything and then guess what's being said from that if anyone would even notice. As long as it reads like proper English and matches the pictures I doubt most people would.

LHT clearly does it and nobody cares

Help? I don't know what 呼び止める is supposed to mean here.

Attached: 00.jpg (146x180, 11K)

ejje.weblio.jp/content/呼び止める

Weblio is your friend. Use it

Sometimes the original Japanese just doesn't sound good at key moments in English, so what I do is change the lines a little or add an extra line here and there to get the text to flow better.

That's fine as long as you don't add information or implication that's not already in the original text.

I may have done this one time. The MC's rival was saying goodbye to him after having come to begrudgingly respect him. The original lines were very abrupt and didn't transition well to each other, so I added a line between them where the rival gave a more proper farewell. It sounded better, but may have had him sound a bit friendlier than the original text.

because it's shitty isekai

Kind of weird that it works without the cookies. One part of the cookies is one out of two parts that combine into the encryption of the license. Even if you leave it empty, it should still use the second part. But you said that it gives it to you completely unencrypted.
Now I'll start digging around again as well and see if you can get gold coin items with your method.

>For people who have just disappeared without saying anything, it's possible they actually died somehow. It happens.
How often did this actually happen?

>2) People read it but the ones that do are annoying and complain about just about every translation choice.
Just ignore them bro lol

Or

- Upload under Yea Forumsnon.
- Lol bro, I only only uploaded it. I'm in no way the translator.

If most of the feedback you receive is negative and there's almost no worthwhile discussion, then why bothering to continue?

>not uploading under a group manned by faggots so that they'd get all the blame for your shit

They'd deny you being part of their group then you'd get in trouble for pretending to be a member. I wonder if they'd account ban you for that.

Another alternative is create a fictional group with made up people in all the roles then just list your user name as something like "Beta Reader" or "QC".

I don't think you can get things for free that way, you usually get an HTTP error for things you haven't bought. I think they just accidentally don't encrypt it if they don't get the device id.

Is the second part that thing that has @ between words and dashes?

The second part is a hardcoded string in the app, length is 32. Just a bunch of gibberish; symbols, numbers, letters.

>I don't think you can get things for free that way
Too bad. At least you can get everything not gold coins only which is quite a lot.

Had a translator die which killed a lot of doujin projects we were working on. Passed the raws off to the internet anyhow.

Oh one of those ones, thanks. Yeah, just a few lines above what I was initially thinking about. Funny how they have the name of another publisher associated with a key there as well, though it doesn't seem to be a production key.

How do people feel about sniping? The Kaguya doujin digis are out but JB is like 4 chapters behind and clearly don't care...

Did he die for reasons besides suicide?

And while you can get everything that's not silver/gold or gold only (e.g. Machikado is silver/gold), you can only get 3-4 chapters in a day so it's excruciatingly slow unless you pay. Actually now I'm sad I already spent all of my silver on Machikado to give the anons better raws, and with this method I'd have to buy them all over again since it's been a while ago... And I was already ripping some black coin stuff for 2-3 weeks...

That said, I'll probably shell out for a couple of things with better quality than anywhere else, and with this kind of ripper I can actually subscribe to the magazines since they're easily de-DRM-able now.

Nothing wrong with it if you plan on continuing

Usually - scanlators hate it, readers are fine with it. Personally I'd love if someone sniped what I'm working on, but to some it's insulting.

Though it's goddamn fan translation, you can have five hundred versions of the same thing if you want. Untranslated stuff will stay untranslated regardless...

>Mangaka's shitty handwriting is hard to read
>Pick font that looks like shitty handwriting
>People complain that it's hard to read

Attached: 1549395031251.png (500x575, 216K)

There's no such thing as honor between thieves. Do whatever you want.
Generally though, that time would be better spent on other manga rather than fighting for super popular stuff that is being translated by X groups at the same time.

what about stuff scanalators are doing but refuse to put on MD? Is there any point to doing it again?

It varies. If the group you snipe from is popular then their fanboys will probably bitch at you and say your work is shit.

Yes, you can consider those titles untranslated, I would say. It's not much different from people only scanlating for their private portfolio for getting official work.

Yea Forumsnonymous works for me. made a dummy account just for uploads so ppl can fuck off trying to ruin a real account with whining. log in whenever something goes up.

This happened with Solo Leveling and its comment section at the time became a mess of people either wanting someone to take over or JB's asshole fanbase trying to discourage anyone else from picking it up. Don't know if it's calmed down since then though.

I've been doing scans for years and I still don't understand why people bitch about this. Unless the other person is doing a shit job, what's the difference if it's you or some other guy doing the translation? I swear to God, for a illegal hobbie scanlators sure are a bunch of narcissistic little shits.

Isn't that stuff uploaded to the various aggregators anyway? I'd consider doing licensed stuff that was dropped by scanlators instead if you're going down that route.

Not if they're autistic enough to keep it on a sekrid Discord group and no one leaks it.

As a reader, I'd agree with the first reply. If it's not readily available to a reasonable person willing to look, then I'd consider it not translated. I don't think you can be logically considered doing anything wrong if it's all your independent work and provided in a fashion they've intentionally passed up, anyway.

>licensed stuff
Nobody can stop you, but usually it's bad etiquette unless the series was dropped, formally or effectively.

Are there translation companies that will hire you even if you're not the best in Japanese as long as you're fast?

*laughs in mangastream*

Is it still bad etiquette if it's something that was licensed 15 years ago? I was almost considering picking up Yami no Matsuei

>thieves
>etiquette

The license probably expired a long long time ago.

Something related to type 1. Didn't drill his family for details beyond that. I never should have known what became of him if we didn't go to the same college. I can't be mad at people in projects that vanish. 99% of the time I'm sure that just got busy and were too big a dick to just tell someone, but I'd feel guilty being mad at a dead bro.

Please. Please do. I need it, I never gave up.

Honestly though if you know the shitty handwriting isn't done on purpose, getting a readable handwriting font for it is pretty much the same as fixing up a raw typo in your TL, since it doesn't add anything to the experience and is a QoL improvement.

how can you make snitches using ph?

If the last release was 15 years ago, that's the very example of "effectively dropped". Anything over 5 years old would normally be that, there's little reason for the publishers to wait that long unless they already gave up on the series.

>take image 1
>take image 2
>align
That's kinda it.

>I never gave up
I wanted to do it mostly because there's no quality scans to be found nowhere online and I know people who said they wish they could read it. But unfortunately I can't help the series complicated situation, since it was on hiatus for like 13 years, then mysteriously came back last year, then nothing again. It's a shame.

Thieves can have etiquette. It doesn't make anything we're doing any more legal, but knowingly hurting the industry and especially the authors is in nobody's interests, unless it's a selfish scanlation group that lives off ad money and donations.

>mangaka uses a white brushstroke instead of outlining the text
>makes it look like I was too lazy to redraw

I would do it if I could get the raws and someone could TL

How do you guys find raws? It's basically impossible for me, and the main reason why I don't pick up projects.

I buy them.

Raw sites and kindle. If I really want something and isn't available in digital I'd get someone to scan shit from Japan.

Oh, it hada read me. It does the same action I already use then.

I buy them since I work on monthly series and use PD for the ones that I can't find.

I just buy things on Kobo or Amazon, those have readily available de-DRM tools. Occasionally I use piracy blogs like manga-zip, but more often than not the quality there is inferior to that in stores, so it's more of a preview/failsafe option. These days online/mobile readers are becoming more and more prevalent and some series are either exclusive (goddammit Yuru Camp) or are in better quality on web readers, in those cases I either look for rippers or, well, write them myself if I can - with the help of people in these threads when things aren't very obvious. Though I still don't have those elusive ebj (non-canvas) and bookwaIker rippers and don't have enough skill to write them on my own.

Helps that I'm also a (shitty) TL, I guess.

Attached: finding raws is.jpg (450x450, 40K)

I have the physical japanese tankos that I could scan. Thing is that I've never scanned before(I rip from digital) and I don't own a scan so I'd have to find one. But the biggest issue is deciding wether I want to sacrifice my tankos since I'm still a little found of this series.
Buy them on Kindle.

Is there anything still on PD even? I was looking around a few weeks ago and the place is kinda barren, mostly assorted and incomplete old stuff. Share isn't looking much better, anything fairly recent is just stuff taken from nyaa.

If there are no good raws, I'm down to buy and debind for this.

The series is crippled by an asshole mangaka. I remember her rant about how dare fans write to her on stationary that doesn't have her characters on it. Last rumour was she didn't like that the interest wasn't as high when she returned, and didn't think it was worth continuing if for the lesser praise she was getting compared to pre-hiatus.

...I did actually have to scan a volume once since it wasn't available digitally, turned out better than public raws of previous volumes somehow - but I never, ever want to do that again, especially for solo projects, takes too much time and I can't glue the book back perfectly, you can tell it was debound.

What do you guys use to rip from Kindle?

Were you using those mail-in scanning services, or do you mean like actual friends in Japan?

It's his fault for dying.

Calibre with the plugin obviously.

Everything recent is taken from DDL blogs because these days nobody uploads new tanks on p2p first, I'd say nyaa is the shittiest site for those. There probably are some old raws that you won't be able to find on blogs so you need to use Japanese p2p for those.

Calibre can convert most things to a zip with images since manga or LNs usually aren't encrypted, just packed in Kindle's native azw3 archive. AA's DeDRM plugin for Calibre can help with magazines and other DRM'd stuff. Or you can use the standalone script and then just import the result into Calibre, if there are technical gremlins with the plugin.

Though I recommend Kobo as it may have better quality for more high-res stuff, can't say whether it's less or more compressed when resolution is the same between that and Kindle. It's de-DRM'd by the Obok plugin.

Is there a "source" DDL blog anyway? They all repost each other's stuff so while I normally go to manga-zip (as it at least picks tolerable DDL services), it's probably yet another reposter...

I'm dying.... how do you even scanlate as a non-NEET? I barely have any energy to do something fun like watching anime/youtube etc
I think I'm going to release 1 last chapter in 1-2 weeks and just retire as a scanlator after that.
Good bye, guys.
It was fun.

Attached: 1522272644193.jpg (1500x1500, 143K)

I know that shobonnexus provides magazines and a-zmanga.net/ writes shit like "provided by noname" or "provided by AZ" and h-manga obviously comes from sadpanda uploaders

Step 1: Don't have depression

Thanks! That's helpful to know, I'll check these out.

By taking it easy. I release once in a blue moon and never work on anything current, it's not like things I'm doing are of interest to anyone else. Did a weekly two-cour anime once because it got Netflix'd, and it was very fun to do thanks to my colleague, but I probably can't do that again due to energy/time constraints.

Also, I translate at work sometimes. Sorry, boss.

That said I'm trying to retire for a while now, but sometimes things just seem like they need a translation. And I promised to translate at least one more 4koma volume, but it hasn't been going well.

redrawing and cleaning and that stuff is pretty relaxing if you're solo.

working for a group w/ weekly releases is a pain in the ass though.

Webry greeted me with this, there's definitely stuff worthy of ripping here.

Fuck, I didn't know about any of that. I just knew she had fucked her hand or her back and was having difficulties drawing. Guess I can give up on hoping she'll ever finish it then.

Why do so many scanlators seem to have mental issues of some kind?

You'd have to be mentally sick to spend time working on something daunting and illegal for free. I mean, I probably am.

Though I'm mostly amazed how a lot of scanlators are more like physically sick and on the verge of literally dying. Not that I'm very healthy myself, but not to that degree either.

It probably gives them more time to stay at home and at their PC both learning and applying skills there.

As a rule of thumb, compound verbs mean "to (first) so as to (second)" or "to (second) by way of (first)ing".

I followed a guide and did all the troubleshooting but every time I put a volume in it still says it's protect by DRM. Any idea's what the heck is going on?

Never mind. I'm a retard

Yea Forumsnonymous is the best group and so productive, their taste is quite variable though.

in the two hours I was gone the smalltime romcom thread died...

By the way, in that case, the one with the @ is part of the license key.

That feeling has nothing to do with scanlating. Once you get used to the structure of having a job, you'll stop feeling overwhelmed and learn how to make effective use of your time. Once you get in the groove, you'll likely find that you have free time to fill at work doing unproductive things like reading manga and want to actually get something done at home so you can feel like you've accomplished something.

>bad etiquette
What is this, 1997? Since when did licensing stop multiple groups from translating anything in the big three spots?

>snipe another group's series
>they get angry and snipes your other series
>you get mad
you guys are such hypocrites

Name 1 instance of this happening, faggot.

As long as the manga gets done, I don't give a shit.

This

Damn it. I was rereading some chapters I posted on MD and realized I accidentally uploaded a page with a panel I hadn't finished redrawing yet. Looks like I'll have to fix that and reupload the chapter.

So we had a Viz faggot ITT earlier. Anyone from the other, non-shit publishers?

I'd only feel slightly inconvenienced if the other person is doing a piss poor job, but in that case I'd just continue working on the manga on my own.

Why do people feel the need to complain that a series is ecchi when it’s clearly labeled as much

Attached: 432DA10F-E19C-49B5-A7EC-930A5C44C5E6.jpg (1001x654, 50K)

they're new to the genre

.

although there's this guy that complains on every romcom that doesn't go anywhere, so some people just like bitching i guess.

Wish I knew, then I could figure out why there's people still at this day and age that go to BL scans to bitch about gay shit

Or that a series will at some point have NTR. Like every chapter the complaint is NTR is coming eventually.

>Get sniped once by a shitty indonesian group that don't even redraw.
>Don't mind it since the series wasn't all that good.
>Get sniped again even though I was only 2 weeks late on a monthly series.
>Okay, sure, no problem.
>Get sniped a 3rd time for being slightly late on a bi-monthly series.
>Get a little upset since I was half way done.
>Get sniped again for being 4 days late on a fucking monthly series.
>Get pissed off and quit altogether.
Moral of the story: Don't be late on your series, always make drama when someone snipes you and never, NEVER translate isekai shit.

Your fault for translating isekai garbage

>NEVER translate isekai
Best advice on this thread.

So what are you anons working on?

On the legit front, finding a new lettering job after my current publisher decided to not give me a raise while expecting that more work be done.

On the scanlation front, trying to find a fucking translator that isn't batshit insane and/or doesn't have a messiah complex

going backwards on a series

Anyone knows who/what Das actually is? I've seen them being credited as the raw provider on some scans. Just curious if it's a person or a site.

Person, mangadex.org/user/3201/_das

Is there are anyone else who were good at ripping bookwalker stuff?

Just forget Bookwalker nigga, rip it from Kindle.

It's possible but there's no way anyone will disclose it. They're extremely trigger happy and quite ridiculous when it comes to their DRM.

>translator that isn't batshit insane and/or doesn't have a messiah complex
Have any examples of their antics?

>trying to find a fucking translator that isn't batshit insane and/or doesn't have a messiah complex
What

I've had the severe displeasure of working with Translators who act like that everything and everyone should fellate them for doing the translations in the first place. I've also worked with Translators that legit would go on rants about how much H they had to shoot up just to function that day.

I got 200 pages worth of a scanlated tank on hand right now, all finish, and saved to 6 seperate PSD's with 2 chapters in each.

Should I seperate each page into it's own file and save them that way, or can I quick export the entire batch or will that lower the picture quality?

I feel like ever since the shift to digital raws that translator is seen as the only necessary role and that just about anyone can be a typesetter.

>just about anyone can be a typesetter
Sure if you want fucked up Comic Sans level of typesetting.

It's a job requirement.

Just use Wild Words, bro

See Everyone who uses Wild Words is a megafaggot

I use wild words

Stop being shit and pick something different.

I do too
Any recommendations?

on the topic of fonts, what are some of your favorites? and where do you find new sometimes paid ones to use that dont suck?

everyone just steals blambot fonts

Anyone know where I can find the Misoshiro de Kanpai raws? I like the series a lot, but the group doing it is like 12 chapters behind and releasing every few months.

I don't understand why more people don't use the narrower fonts Comicraft offers; seems like they'd fit in the bubbles better than Wildwords
I wish I had this one

Attached: Ask for Mercy.jpg (590x1681, 132K)

The only decent fonts are by Comicraft (but Wildwords is becoming a bit too ubiquitous)
Hint, Google this font and the second result is a download link that surprisingly isn't riddled with Trojans

>picking something different solely to be a special snowflake hipster

>a scanlation thread that actually reached bump limit

Attached: 1563864787642.jpg (657x595, 141K)

How does this happen?

Attached: 5DF448FE-5F46-4212-BE21-B4BB641716A6.jpg (193x268, 38K)

anons, how fast can I clear this backlog if I'm redrawing and typesetting?

Attached: fdfsfsfafafafaf.png (1918x888, 141K)

In seconds if you drop everything.

Yea most comic fonts were made for wide american comic bubbles. That's my current favorite font for dialogue.
