The only books that are worth buying are art books because a) scans tend to be bad, b) scans tends to suffer from color inaccuracies, c) screens create color inaccuracies. No reason to buy manga unless the manga isn't available online. It's just black and white, printed on low quality paper.

Its out of print I guess so people raise up the prices.

Same would happen in Japan with older series that are also out of print but I guess they maintain printing of older issues for a longer.
