He's basically the personification of what the series's isekai MC initially wants and expects to be, but has to accept that he isn't. And then, realize that's a good thing. You can't be what Reinhard is without missing out on essential parts of the human experience.

It's not that "the maids" can detect the miasma, it's only Rem that can. She is the exception to the rule, and it's a very suspicious case. In any case, authorities trump blessings, always.

He doesn't really have any particular reason to, though, and because he is as dangerous as he is, his movements are severely restricted by international law.
