I REALLY SHOULD HAVE
Too bad the manga is shit. Watch The Irresponsible Captain Tylor.
What's wrong with it?
I saw Haruhi years ago but didn't watch Disappearance until this year
After watching it I went into an old anime watching spree
Kyo kare ore wa! was fucking good but i avoided it for a few years
Nothing. It's a little stretched out for what it is and the last arcs get weak. Tried to introduce this deep philosophical thing to the mix.
The first volume pretty much covered the entire anime run. So if that's all you know and expect you might be in for a bad time.
Changes to something else and that something else is one of the worst manga ever.
pfffff
Same but for the whole series, I was aware of it back when it came out but was too much of a jaded teen to watch it.
I still didn't watch it.
I read the novels on BakaTsuki back in the day
I liked it. I put it off for a long time because its a 3 hour movie but when I did watch it it went by fast.
30 straight chapter of a sex scene and full of cuckoldry
Any more mangas that were good at the beginning, but went to bloody shit?
The anime was very fantastic
Don’t post pics of my wife.
>covert rec thread
All of these
I am sorry, but YOUR wife? Really???
JoJo in general
IMO GTO was a bit stretched out.
>mechashit
My sleep disorder is over.
Thanks user!

>the one moment where you wish you saw this in middle school
>instead ask yourself why you feel so out of place while watching this as mid-20 something year old
no one goes on /wsr/ and if you ask for anime reccs you get the most basic shit on there 90% of the time
I love the cast but the show just didn't pick up for me. I gave it 12 episodes before I gave up on it.
Imagine if started watching this masterpiece at that time and getting the hype of dbz announcement
Tamago?!
Everybody knows goldenboy, monogatari, trigun, and dragonball.
This is a reminder to bump your backlog
If you don't know the series in this thread you shouldn't be on Yea Forums
Started reading it a few days ago, just in time to catch up with the last few chapters being scanlated
I wish I had watched Trigun as a kid. The whole show seems like it's set up specifically to ask the philosophical question of "When is it okay to kill?", and I would have eaten that shit up as a kid/teenager. But as an adult who has formulated that answer now, I find the show just irksome and tiresome, like a kid playing around with his food.
Devil is a Part Timer. The anime ends literally 20 seconds before the manga/light novel jump the shark.
Prison school.
Oh no...
another man fell into femdom
F for our fallen brethren.
That's a nice one.
I'm not into femdom, so I never even picked up the anime, but I am interested to read your thoughts on why it turned bad.
I am ashamed to admit that I watched it this year.
MajorxBatou fucking never.
This. Still wish I wan't spoiled on the ending.
This, but thank God it was one of the last series I watched since it was an awakening point for me to realize anime currently produced are shit and anime previously produced generally ran for longer than it should have
Manga is where it’s at
eh the final arc felt a lot like filler but it was pretty good on its own
every shoujo adaption
they go full soap opera after the anime
I was strangely bored by it when I was a kid. Perhaps I would appreciate it more when I watch it now. Same with Lain and Boogiepop
watched it when Takemoto died. Damn, so well made. true loss.
its shitty gintama
Fun fact: the assistant of Gorilla is the creator of sket dan (i don't even know why they promoted it with the name "Sket Dance" when it is nothing about dancing)
>you'll never be a part of Reinhard's Admiraliteit smashing through every problem in the universe with your OP tactics before getting killed by Yang or Julian
It's sophomoric and preachy.
unlike you I actually enjoy anime
Not watching but reading if you guys have never read all of Go Nagai's shit so much fun
Devil Man
Cutie Honey
Kekko Kamen
So much fun, can't believe I had never read them
When it comes to manga endings that are embodiments of the meme
>truly he was...The Great Teacher Onizuka
GTO's is among the more tolerable.
Kentaro always tread the fine line between "relatable underdog" and "obnoxious mary sue" (which is a testament to the anime)
manga hits the latter hard
>Devil is a Part Timer
what happened? I thought Yea Forums loved it.
Yea Forums loved it?
>what happened?
For whatever reason despite the show selling over 10k bd's it's never getting a second season. Their were some rumors about the author having a problem with the adaption over on 2ch long enough that he eventually made some pr statement about how he wished there could be a 2nd season but preese understando these things are complicated.
It's been a long time now so on Yea Forums it's mostly forgotten.
I enjoyed it
still i don't get how it jumped the shark
It's what LNfags say about the LNs.
Original user who posted that: The anime was great and I loved it. The problem is pretty much the next chapter, what happens is:
The author completely throws away the budding natural romance/bromance that Emilia and Mao had going on but introducing Emilia's holy sword, except because "reasons", the sword essentially takes magic/DNA from both Emilia and Mao and then ALSO turns into a toddler, forcing the two to work together to raise a child, essentially and very contritely I might add, forcing the relationship between the two to hit 60 in a very jarring move. The worst part about all of it is that none of this is really foreshadowed outside of Emilia just wanting her sword back, and it develops VERY rapidly and becomes the main theme of the story from that point forward. It legitimately feels like as soon as the story hits the stopping point of the anime, the original author fucked off and just handed the pen to his biggest fan which also happened to be a rabid shipper.
It's really painful to read, and frankly, I just tell all my normie friends that the series "just died" and went nowhere. It's better than learning the truth.
damn, i was just wondering how there wasnt a second season....................now i know, thanks user
kek, i actually thought they fucked and had a baby
That legitimately would have been a way better story. ESPECIALLY if they were both drunk when it happened.
Princess Tutu. This was High Art as anime, and I had put it off for years.
I fell for the Shinsekai Yaoi meme and never went into the threads or otherwise learned what it was really about. Until I watched it last year. Boy I missed out.
Also watched Princess Tutu recently, that's some good mahou shoujo
90% of Yea Forums "criticisms" are blatant lies.
if there's a series you aren't watching because of Yea Forums shitting on it you should probably watch it.
Sket Dan means helpers brigade
lol did they watch UFO baby and decide to copy it?
I had seen Dokkan! 40 years ago, but I'm only now watching through the entire show in preparation for the movie next year. Holy shit, it's so, so good.
Underremembered invader.
Still the funniest dub performance I can think of.
Replying to myself because I just don't feel right not posting both stitches.
mfw I'm finally watching DBZ past Vegita saga via DBZ Kai
Starts just like the anime, expands a little more... and in the second part, it becomes a preachy porno about japanese politics, sexual deviancy and licentiousness. It's not worth the read, it's too depraved, ruins the whole concept of the first part and the ending is fucking stupid.
I wish I had started reading Tezuka's stuff sooner. I just finished Adolf and he wrote so many good things. Even with how well known he is it still feels like a lot of people don't really know much about his works outside of the obvious like Astro Boy. Dororo too recently I guess since it just got an anime.
Have you read Phoenix yet?
by classics does that image actually mean pile of shit and robotech?
I agree. Dude's amazing.
How far along in Doremi are you? It's amazing, I'm on the second part, with the baby. A little odd that they're teaching the audience how to raise a child but alright.
I seriously hope you are not trying to say MD Geist id bad
I fucking dropped it when that faggot Kungaoji or whatever the fuck his name was showed up
>gantz
>bleach
>air gear
One of the few anime where dub >>>>> sub.
wasn't that much into anime when these were being released and since it's on netflix now might as well watch it
Paranoia Agent and Evangelion are both series I've seen glimpses of as a kid and they seemed really great at the time, but I only really went around to watch in full as an adult and by that time they were merely okay.
its sad that jojo is such a meme series now that you have to assume everything relating to it might be bait
the manga's all just dragon ball, though. They just changed the name for the anime.
The appeal is not femdom. It's the manga's quality in-and-of-itself. Read it. Even if the end's not the best, it's definitely worthwhile.
Was Gantz ever really good? It had really nothing but edge, edge and more edge. It get boring really quick because of it, but I wouldn't say the quality decreased (at least by the time I dropped).
wouldnt say really good. it was okayish but the story got really retarded in the mid-end.
Marathoned through this in June and apart from the Terran's sheer mustache twirling, it's just the perfect series.
Thats the appeal. It's pointlessly grim fights against random enemies: the manga. It started retarded and ended retarded, and was what the fuck all the way through.
Hell yeah. I just started watching it recently and it's already one of my new favorite shows only 6 episodes in.
seisho speed king is unforgettable.
name please
I think that’s sayonara zetsubou sensei
It went downhill after first episode
It's kind of fun, but narcissists in real life are a pain in the ass and should be avoided as much as possible. They're not that much better than sociopaths.
