I feel nostalgic about the anime, but the manga has a better story.
Both are great
Trigun is top tier anime
I enjoy both for different reasons.
The manga made a major mistake by creating a new deuteragonist so late in the series.
Trigun is an interesting idea but I utterly despise Vash. He's a retarded hippy faggot.
The anime was good, but the humor wasn't the best part of it. I've only watched the original version, maybe the english dub was better.
Trigun is an idiot!
it suppose to compete with bebop
yeah, I'd like to try the dub sometime, or at least see what some anons think of it. A lot of those anime which exude American vibes like Bebop and Baccano! get praise for having high-quality English versions. Maybe Trigun's the same, it has some similar characteristics
Manga is superior for giving Vash and Knives far better characterization and backstory. Legato's coin game also gives the manga an overarching story arc and consequently far better structure and plot development.
is this a christfag anime?
Anime has some of the coolest looking guns known to animation.
Vash is autistic.
Music is good.
Manga is amazing.
LOVE & PEACE.
He's basically a god so having inflexible and straightforward morals is normal.
sub or dub?
always prefer sub but older anime usually has good dubs
The dub is pretty solid. It's a product of its time, whether you consider that good or bad, but it's absolutely worth giving it a few episodes.
It was perfectly watchable.
>The manga made a major mistake by creating a new deuteragonist so late in the series.
It's been a decade since I read the manga, could I get a refresher course on the differences?
>speedwatcher confirmed
pity
You watch both sub and dub and compare them yourself like with any toonami era anime.
Manga is slightly better since made the gunOguns actual characters and not weekly villains, also knives i a great character with cool and understandable motivations.
Also both vash and wolfwood are better written and the manga also add wolfwood's old friend (Livio) who is pretty cool too.
There's no reason for doing it. Dubs are made exclusively for complete retards and kids. Wasting the time on checking the dubs is retarded too.
>good dub
Kill yourself
>Implying YYH sub is better than the dub
Please. There are less than 10 dubs worth listening to in existence, but even children can see why your favorite anime is shit.
Manga had a better story on the whole, but the anime has some of my all-time favorite moments. The show had an incredible way to juxtapose serious fights against its light hearted comedy and elevate the tension to an incredible level.
The dub is pretty good, vash was also Johnny Yong Bosch first anime role so that's cool
I've actually never finished the anime, at some point started and finished the manga instead. Trigun is one of my favorite manga, and my favorite examination of a "no kill" character.
The dub is a great watch. Typically the 90's anime had better dubbing. In addition animes that take place outside of japan work well in dub.
Hellsing Ultimate is another example on how a great dub works considering the setting takes place in various parts of Europe where the accents from the respective countries make more sense.
Not all dubs are bad. People from Yea Forums typically act like an elitist faggot when it comes to listening to something that's not in their own language and not understand it and claim its better.
The manga had a better story and more consistent world building but the anime did a better exploration of it's themes and had some great anime original content.
Trigun is the best Superman story ever told and is the shining example of how you make an overpowered protagonist interesting. You put them in situations that their strength cannot solve.
Yea Forums would unironically prefer a black person to speak in Japanese and not understand him than in English and understand him IRL.
The late 90s were pretty much the best era of Dubbing. There are some later projects like Hellsing or SAC that stand out later, but the best Dubs come from that time period.
Who are you talking about? Legato is introduced even before Knives from what i remember
Can Yea Forums discuss a show without having to bring up dubs every second post? It's like I'm reading a MAL review.
He's talking about Livio
>volume 2 and 3 of the maximum omnibus are both over $100 now
What the fuck? Is there gonna be another printing?
Almost everything after Legato gets introduced is different from the anime. Here's some that come to mind
>Legato becomes a cripple and has an actual backstory
>Wolfwood is more important while the 2 girls get much less screen time
>Knives is more involved
>Wolfwood has a childhood friend who becomes an ally for Vash in the ending
>that dude who plays the saxaphone gets killed off much earlier
Wolfwood was more important than him
The manga since it has less filler and Knives is much better. When will Trigun get a proper adaptation like Brotherhood?
Genuinely found it boring
One of my all-time favorites due to its christian motifs and how they're handled (What's more important: living peacefully, or protecting the innocent? both of which are christian ideals that conflict with one another)
In fact, it (among other shows) inspired me to write my own story.
t. minor christfag
Atheist here. Trigun has all the great stuff about Christian philosophy without all the dogmatic baggage. It's all the best things about Christianity.
