Especially stronger demons, who appears to be somewhat resilient. Because it barely ever works and can only give very brief support before the demon metabolizes the poison away. The only reason it works for Shinobu is that she's an expert in pharmacology and can mix new and potent formulations on the fly to get around immunity. Shinobu is also an exception in the respect that she fast enough to stab and inject demons, but too weak to cut their heads. Any other character near her level of speed would typically have the strength to not have to rely on poison.

There's nothing that ever indicates he may have had strings up to remove his head. Everything about the moment is complimented by the music, animation, and framing in order to really sell it as Tanjiro's kill. The fact that it's NOT actually his kill because of something hilariously straightforward that wasn't foreshadowed at all feels like robbery. I'd be less upset if it wasn't played up so hard. It feels like everything about that scene didn't actually mean anything in the end.

Additionally, she has to craft the poison mid-combat with her sheath and it took years of training so it's unlikely that the other demon slayers can replicate it.
