I purposefully watch series I don't particularly enjoy just so I can have a better understanding of the industry as a whole and so I can have better taste / appreciation for subtle aspects that way when I shitpost on 4chins, I shitpost with taste as a connoisseur having actually read / watched / understood the story enough to be able to discuss it

Shitposting does not imply having any understanding of the work, in fact shitposters pretty much never have any sort of notable understanding of the work they're shitposting or of storytelling, characterization or direction in general. That's why it's "shit"posting, it's not worth more than shit. Only retards shitpost because they lack the capability to discuss the series at any authentic level but still feel the need to spew their opinions online.

People of reasonable intelligence will discuss a series without having to resort to shitposting, even if their opinions on the work in question isn't necessarily positive. This is probably very hard to understand for a shitposter though, but they're just not capable of anything better.
