I don't know about others but I got a pretty ominous feeling from the memories mosaic and how the shards of all his friends and significant figures from his past with the exception of two were showing them in memories of simpler, more positive times, when things still made sense for the most part. AM in particular whom Eren associated with his childhood, the last time period of his life where he was safe, and the start of everything (awakening his desire for freedom, the long dream, right before the decade long downward spiral). JSC being doofuses as always, Annie training him, Reiner being his dependable self, Hange, Manlet, the first Manlet squad, Carla just hanging out the washing etc. they all similarly felt like distant dreams.

The post was originally about EMA but I do think it's interesting that out of the two exceptions to this, one of them was Grisha, who despite being portayed as a good dad to Eren this chapter appeared in his memories as the desperate man who was about to kill all the Reisses/forcibly pass down his titan powers to his child, which were arguably the most decisive and yet lowest points of his short life on Paradis.
The other one obviously being Historia, who could have appeared in any mundane or significant, positive post-Uprising memory in a similar vein from how the others were depicted, but who was featured in a memory that is not only still unknown to the reader but also seemingly belongs to a more recent time when nothing was simple for Eren anymore, especially on an emotional level (running out of time, his moral dilemma regarding Historia, desperate for another solution no one was able to offer etc.). And it wasn't a memory meant to evoke any sort of nostalgia either: Historia was crying, and unless Eren has some kind of kink with giving cute girls heartaches, then it's a painful memory.

I prefer my characters to be as flawed as possible. In that sense Isayama made the right choice by killing Erwin since having a single character solve all the conflict isn't fun.

They already know what titans are. There aren't really any mysteries left except PATHS. I don't think Erwin has any place in the story now and before you call me an Armongfag I'll say that the Mong should have died in Shiganshina too.

To be fair everyone except Eren underperformed in this final arc. It's like Isayama made everyone stupid on purpose (see the one month the military kept Eren in jail while doing absolutely nothing to solve the situation).

The biggest problem for me is, their friendship doesn't feel real. They don't treat each other equal.
For example Eren will always be number one priority for Mikasa, while Armin is the second choice.
EAr will always have a stronger bond than EM.
And unfortunately Armin and Mikasa are only being held together by Eren. How many times did we see these two alone and all they talk about is Eren. Do AM have something else in common? A dream or a hobby? When and how did they even become friends?

For me the biggest problem is EAr, it's supposed to be the strongest relationship of the trio but it all feels so artificial.

You have to take into consideration that there has hardly been any time to banter or joke around for EMA, EAr in particular or any other group of friends since they've been bombarded with attack after attack, betrayal after betrayal, kidnapping after kidnapping etc. The only moment of relief they really had in the first 90 chapters of the manga was chapter 72. What Isayama does seem to regret though is not spending more time on fleshing out certain relationships more during the training flashbacks (most notably Eren and Reiner). I don't really see EM as much better though, consideration all interactions were the result of Mikasa's overly strong attachement which Eren never responded positively to with the exception of chapter 50.
