Will he ever do something to contribute to the story?

Hori has sidelined him long enough, from being a ace performer in fesitvals to jobbing to metal. I haven't seen a character show so little promise from such big hype as time went on.

That's Hori's MO. He's pretty shit at doing anything interesting with his characters.

I remembered when shouto got hype to improve usinf fire since the remedial arc and clising his beef with inasa. Couple chapters later he's still has hang ups using it against tetsu. Stop regressing him hori!

He is turning into a jobbing side character that has no development without deku moving his plot and his dad basically acting as a puppeteer to resolve his whole ideals.

When you look right down to it, shouto is a puppet for Deku and Bakugou as a powerhouse made to showcase how powerful they're going to be in the future.

I know some people dislike him cause they find his personality bland, which I can understand. Maybe hori is one of those people and is intentionally making him have poor performances and less panel time.

Endeavor and Deku is basically todos motivation for anything. It used to be his whole damn family. He's such a blank canvas, his own persoanlity acts detatched from the characters he gets close to.

Problem is we don't have any credible feats from Todoroki since they always end up lackluster, his fights have made it difficult to judge how interesting he is and how he's improved.

Just reminded me I want a Shouto and Bakugou rematch. I could honestly see them rematching in the future and it ending in a draw. I say this because I like to think of the three (Izuku, Bakugo, and Shoto) remaining as a three-way rivalry and not a two way rivalry with an akward third wheel.

Thus thread underestimated todoroki. Facts are Todoroki got second in quirk apprehension test ahead of Bakugou, easily won his match is season 1 fight, for second place in the race again ahead of Bakugou, was the rival of a student who was the first to pass Provisional and easily breezed through his test offscreen and was the first to pass in his class even though he was the only student to do so solo. Has been called strongest student by Kaminari, most capable student by Momo, singled out by Mineta about collapsing hierarchy but unlike Bakugou most of Todoroki’s fights was one shot kill or offscreened or against strong villains.

Actions > Words, shouto is runner up but hes had the most failures of the main leads so far and failed his esclades in being proven to be ahead according other characters opinions

Lets be real, the author will never let Shouto perform at the same level as Bakugou in being badass.

This.

Sad but true

Todoroki has mid to long ranged attacks, but has a weaker reaction time and doesn't really have ways of increasing mobility other than walking on his ice. He's also spammy and relies on his quirk to get people at a distance rather than up-close like with Stain and Deku. His costume also doesn't really help him out too much, and just regulates his body temperature.

Honestly, it depends on who Horikoshi wants to win if they fight again.

Maybe you need patience user.

The amount of nerfing Hori did to Todoroki to make Tetsu look good in that fight was just sad.

I noticed something, most Shoto arcs wouldn't have even happened the way they did if it weren't for Deku who set the ball rolling in the first place. Without Deku, the memory of Shoto's mother's supportive words that motivated him to become a hero would not have resurfaced in the festival. Without Deku, Shoto would not have interned under Endeavor (leaving Deku and Iida for dead against Stain).

You bring up the Provisional Exams but that was dependent on Deku motivating Shoto to use his fire side, which lead to the remedials. Pro Hero arc had nothing to do with Shoto besides the ending when he watched Endy beating High End on TV. He slumps down in relief that Endy won. Why? Because he's become closer to Endy? How? Because of Deku's influence.

Deku has either directly or indirectly influenced Shoto's decision making in every one of his arcs. Therefore he is relevant to Deku.

Hope so.

I also agree

I wish him and Momo were a strong relationship instead of fujo bait hints with the MC

>instead of fujo bait hints with the MC

Not really user, Tododeku has some of the least 'evidence' of any popular homoship in the series yet it got big anyways.

It's honestly sad that Shouto is defined as a gay symbol to attract an interest to fans.
