I like some of the fights and Jolyne has a fun and interesting personality to read.

Pucci and the ending.
Dislike: they didn't use jolyne's roommate all that much, a lot of the fights were irrelevant in the first half

Jolyne should have been fat.

I will throttle you with my bare hands

I do it just for you.

In part4
Oh Josuke fixed Sheer Heart Attack! Yes! You can chase Kira!
In part6
Jolyne made a picture of 0 and 1? I don’t know why 0 and 1 is needed. You can just color it, can’t you? I didn’t know that you can memorize a picture. You should have told me so.

>Goo Goo Dolls
Introduction to Stone Free and Jolyne's determination
>Manhattan Transfer
Serves as the inciting incident for the main plot, introduces Whitesnake, btfo's Jotaro and forces Jolyne to put aside her disdain for her father to save him
>Highway to Hell
Introduces Kiss, and it's through McQueen's memories that Hermes learns where the discs are stashed
>Foo Fighters
Introduces FF, Jolyne obtains Star Platinum's disc and comes a bit closer to Pucci's identity
>Marilyn Manson
Pucci's first real attempt on Jolyne and Hermes' lives, since he's now recognized them both as threats instead of mere distractions
>Jumpin Jack Flash
Introduction to Weather Report, and the major obstacle in the way of Jolyne getting Jotaro's stand disc back to the Speedwagon Foundation
>Limp Bizkit
The fulfillment of Hermes' primary motivation, allowing her to fully commit to helping Jolyne, as well as Sports Maxx being instrumental to Pucci's ultimate plan
>Planet Waves
Cool as fuck. Enough said.
>Dragon's Dream
Introduction to Diver Down, as well as being basically FF's one moment to shine in a 1v1 stand battle
>Yo Yo Ma
Gives Jolyne and Anasui something to do while they're escaping for the first time
>Green Baby
The turning point of the part, during which FF is killed, Pucci's identity and goal is revealed to the main cast, and Jolyne experiences her first critical setback

So tell me exactly which one of these fights was irrelevant?

Dragon’s Dream and Yo Yo Ma is shit.
Their roles can be in other episodes.

Gwess should've played a bigger role in the jailhouse lock's arc desu

You may not like them individually, but imo the Punishment Ward arc wouldn't have worked nearly as well as it did if it were just Planet Waves and not a rapid fire stand-off the way it was.

I like Pucci, Jolyne, and FF

Disliked a good amount of the fights. Especially in the first 2/3rds. Once Pucci gets the green child the part picked up for me.

I liked the yo yo ma part.
The user left alot to be desired and didn't even really "fight" but the stand itself was sick and a stand that pretends to be your servant while slowly melting you with acid spit is neat.

Something tells me that's not the book he would actually be reading. He'd probably be reading the communist manifisto or the koran being the dirty mudblood that he is.

Part 6 bad Part 5 good Giorno based Jolyne cringe you don't like part 5 you're reddit

Part 6 has the best panel in all of Jojo.

Negatives
>Pucci is an awful fanfic villain and I have no idea why he's so favorably viewed on this board. His goal is nonsensical and his connection to DIO has absolutely no basis in prior parts. He wins almost entirely through chance, inconsistencies, or the protagonists suddenly grabbing the idiot ball and running with it. Examples of this include include him shrugging off taking a Star Platinum ORA to the head (the same blow that literally caved in DIO's far more durable vampire skull), Jotaro not ending him immediately as soon as he caught him in Cape Canaveral, and him by happenstance being able to achieve the perfect gravitational location to evolve C-Moon (which, while conceptually and logically is actually perfectly acceptable, is in practice rushed and happens way too easily given how far out the new moon still is at that point.)
>DIO's character is effectively retconned. Stardust Crusaders DIO would never say or do half the things he's shown to in Stone Ocean flashbacks.
>DIO's sons, while potentially interesting antagonists, are horribly underutilized and are indistinguishable from ordinary mooks.
>Outside of Jotaro, characters from prior arcs are ignored entirely when there's no reason to be. Giorno especially should have been involved, but there's also strong arguments that Josuke and Koichi at the very least should have been recruited by the SWF to retrieve Jotaro's Stand Disc (which does fuck all btw).
>The ending is trash.

Positives
>Jolyne and the majority of her supporting cast are enjoyable.
>C-Moon is a great fight, and both it and Made in Heaven have amazing designs.
>Weather Report had some really cool moments.
>Jotaro coming to save the day was hype af even if he inexplicably failed miserably.

Worst Jojo part by a fair margin imo.

Too many fights where the enemy stand needs a lengthy explanation. Also Pucciis a weak villian with frankly silly motivations.

Honestly, I don't remember much of Part 6. I remember that I liked Pucci as a villain, he was very proactive, and I remember liking how he talked about Heaven all the time, and thinking what in hell could have possibly been Dio's concept of Heaven. Probably should read it again.

>Yo Yo Ma
please tell me that it gets localized as Yo Mama

Just read to the maximum security arc (around chapters 50-60). I heard its bad, what am I in for anons?

One of the best brawler-core in manga
F.F torture porn
Part 3 villain of the week that last forever

Pucci is an amazing villain, what are you talking about? He's ruthless, efficient, insane, terrifying, and everything he does is entertaining. Every chapter he's in was addicting to read. He also fleshed out Dio (Which Dio desperately needed) and rightfully destroyed the typical shoneny "Joestars beat baddie through friendship, everything is good, the end" standard that the previous parts followed.

My problem with that part was that it felt eternal and like the plot wasn't progressing at all. For example, p3 has a lot of fights I consider shitty filler, but even so you could see that the gang was advancing and heading somewhere, there was progress.
During the max security arc it's just one fight after another while seemingly nothing happens, they just keep piling up like some shitty hack and slash until the plot finally decides to move forward.

One stand is really cool, The rest are eh and it just lasts for too long. Just prepare to be reading it for a while

Pucci is not a good villain. He is literally a character that you could find in a self-insert fanfiction that focused on DIO as a love interest.

>knows DIO intimately despite never having been mentioned a single time beforehand
>has an extremely nebulous goal that turns out to be absurd to the point of erasing any reader sympathy, especially given the blood toll paid up to this point
>somehow always wins against the Joestars even in scenarios where he should by all rights be defeated

If "ruthless autist" is your cup of tea for an antagonist, then sure, but Pucci is by no means well-written.

Him winning isn't a breath of fresh air as you portray, because he wins in the exact asspull ways that protagonists typically do in shonen, just in different fashion. It's worse here because the victory comes at the expense of characters the audience likes and wants to win. As for DIO, what you're talking about isn't "fleshing out", it's retrograding. His interactions with Pucci, especially the fixation on "Heaven" when he already views himself as the ultimate power and rightful ruler of the world, contradict how he is presented in a previous part at a later chronological date.

Versace right?

Thank you, you actually managed to put into words what I've always felt about Pucci. He made me feel genuine hate while reading and everything about him was so unsatisfying. I don't mind a "bad guy actually wins" scenario when it happens, but here it was so just stupid, so awfully set up. I also hate how DIO is portrayed as someone with wildly different morals/views than what we knew, it's like Araki forgot this was supposed to take place before Part 3, and that we all already knew how DIO's thoughts worked by then.

There is such a mix of good stand fights and absolutely awful ones.
And don't get me started on Sky High or Yoyo Ma
